I’m biased. I’m the Pastor at the Gathering. But, I do believe the Gathering comprises a wonderful collection of diverse, caring and friendly people. The Church’s motto is «A Progressive & Inclusive Congregation.» And, indeed it is. Members take spirituality seriously but not literally. They seek self growth as a way to improve themselves so they can go out and make a difference in the world — to make it a better place. Besides celebrating all people no matter their race, gender, sexuality, economic status, political views or faith tradition(or no faith tradition), the congregation is also intentional about serving the wider community. Specifically, the church focuses its outreach and charitable efforts on serving homeless children and youth. Services are informal but thought provoking and meaningful. Sunday messages focus on spiritual issues about ourselves, life and helping others. The Gathering is definitely NOT religious but it is full of interesting and friendly — but not perfect — people.
