Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine

The food here is pretty solid, especially when it comes to your door. However they are open until 9 but I guess they stop taking delivery orders at 7:30 or 7:45. Tonight at 7:46 was the third time I was let down by starting to order and then hearing «oh wait, we’ve stopped delivery for the night.» It’s frustrating enough that I think I might need to be done with ordering here. Too bad because the food is fairly decent.

Great food! Love ordering from here. Very disappointed this time though. I did the Unilocal check-​in to receive my 5% discount as advertised and was told they were not honoring it this month.

New management or new staff idk but that poor little white kid needs help. Just came from out of town and placed an ordered by phone. That kid was confused while I was placing my order. He told me it should be ready in 15−20minutes, so I left my house after 10minutes placing order, since I stay in sharonville its good 20minutes drive. When I reached my order wasn’t ready, not mad at all !! waited… Waited and kept waited for good half hour. That kid was apologizing but when you’re super busy why would tell anyone your order should be ready in 15−20minutes. So I placed 3 order of curry, and I asked what is my total, he came up with $ 52 and some change. I was pissed at that point, I asked him again and lol he got confused again. He went back into the kitchen and stayed there for good 10minutes. I understand he’s a new employee but on a busy Friday he needed help. Well then he kinda sorted out and payed for my order. Owners are the one should take care their business. There was another group of people had the same issue. He’s wayyyyy to young to handle this business. He needs some good training. Might change my place if they serving there return customer like this.

The food was fantastic! The restaurant was simple but clean. The people were friendly & explained the menu well. Samosas & nan — yum! We had malai kofta & chicken tikka saag. The sauces were delicious. The portions were heaping. We can’t wait to go back.

I’m not a big fan of their buffet, however their items individually off their menu, FABULOUS! And a big thanks to their delivery! Saturday’s at my house are usually spent with a bottle of red, delivery from Taj and a movie. Keep doing what your doing! Now I have to get off here so I can place my delivery order! It’s Saturday after all!

I can’t eat another meal for 2 days and I chose this place for my ‘last meal’, it’s that good.

Ordered from this little jewel of a local restaurant and was totally blown away by the great quality of the food! Chicken Tikka Masala is the best I’ve ever tasted. Saag Paneer was great. Tandoori chicken not as great as the other dishes, but still very good. Will definitely add this to our usual list. And they deliver!

I was honestly surprised by the food I had (take out) from this Indian restaurant last night. I’ve passed it a number of times, but never really given it the time of day as it’s located in a side of the road strip mall and is pretty unassuming. That said, while visiting a friend for drinks and conversation last night, we opted for take-​out as Taj Mahal was close and a regular place she frequents.
Running over to pick up our order, it was accurate, ready when promised and the wait staff was super friendly. The inside décor is sparse and no frills to say the least, but the smells were amazing and the food matched that flavor in the air. It tasted fresh, the ingredients were prepared well and the naan was particularly soft and light. Everything I tried (we shared our orders community style) was a treat. I’m so glad to know this place is so close to home for me.
Side tip, when you are there it looks at first glance as if there isn’t a restroom. Should you need the facilities they are available to customers. They’re just back through the kitchen and the staff will gladly show you the way.

All the standards are here and they even have Indo-​Chinese choices like Chili Paneer.
The vegetarian menu is pretty good but the chicken and lamb are extensive. As others have noted, the 1 – 10 spice choice allows for a variety of American needs.
Fresh food made with fresh ingredients — enjoy!

The lunch buffet is not very big for the price. The selection is OK for the size of the buffet. And they love to use fennel seed in all of their dishes and very heavy with it. So if you really want some Indian food and it’s close by, it will give you the fix but there are a lot of better Indian restaurants that are not that much further away.

Great food. Yummy curry. Great staff. Will pick up from time to time for lunch. They also deliver. Love this place.

My favorite Indian restaurant in Cincinnati. Try their Navratan Korma!

This is a really good place to eat. The owner A.J. Is a good guy.
The heat scale used to be terribly off, but I think they may have fixed that now. I love spicy food, but even ordering the lowest of their heat scale used to shoot flames through my insides, but this most recent time, a 2 was actually pretty great and I may be brave enough to try moving that up again with my next order.
Love that they deliver! Just be sure to order ahead if time because you’ll be left waiting a while if your starving already.
Picking it up or sitting in are nice alternatives too

Summary: Taj Mahal is fine for a lunch Indian buffet. Though, with several other Indian buffets within a 5 mile radius that have a wider selection and much of the same food, I’m not sure I’d deliberately come here other than for convenience.
Taj Mahal sits across the street from the strip mall with Kroger and Chipotle in Finneytown. The buffet selection is smaller than other comparable lunch buffets, but still decently made. The restaurant is furnished very simply, but kept clean. I was miffed that the naans were cold and limp, an indication that they’ve been sitting around a bit.
I can’t say that that any of the dishes available: saag paneer, chicken tikka marsala, chicken tandoori, etc. stood out. I think the best way wrap this up is to say — you’re probably visiting this location because it is convenient, and you’ll get the type of Indian food you were expecting to get.

Taj Mahal has been a great indian food on the northern side of Cincinnati for over 10 years.
I’ve been coming here since they had a restaurant in Springdale and have since moved to Finneytown. Always friendly, fast, and good prices. Can’t say enough about this family operation. Been doing a great job for years.

The first time I went here for lunch buffet it was not great but it was late. The next time it was awesome! Everything was very fresh and flavorful.
They have very good tandoori chicken. I went two days in a row it was so good. The naan bread was fluffy and the vegetarian dishes are good too. Try the raita on everything!
Very good for Sunday and Monday when other places are closed.

Its a decent buffet. It’s kind of small but the food was well made. It seems popular. There were people coming in and out of it for lunch the whole time I was there. I would like to give it a higher review but there are a lot of buffets I would go to first.

3.5 stars, really. We’ve been here for sit-​down dinner once, and ordered takeout another time. It’s nice to have decent, convenient Indian food so close to where we live. It appears to be family-​owned, and service is super friendly. Our fave dish, chicken tikka masala, is quite good, though a bit on the creamy side. Great garlic naan.

It’s very good stuff and they deliver. I’d give them five stars, but the food doesn’t really taste extraordinary. I mean… it’s good and it’s fantastic that they deliver. Ah heck, just increased my rating from a three to a four! :)
I want Indian NOW! I’m in Omaha now… what am I going to do!!!
