Stein Mart

I’ve bought many a work dress here — great brands and high quality: Anne Klein, Ralph Lauren that run $ 89-​$ 110 in department stores off-​price at Stein-​Mart in the $ 50 range. I generally buy classic wrap dresses and their quality holds up: I’m still wearing some that are seven or eight years old — and getting compliments on the fabrics.
Each store caters to its clientele, and while this one has trended toward louder prints than this classic shopper likes (I’m also an Ann Taylor, Talbots customer) in the last few years, I can usually find one or two each season to round out the work wardrobe (I used to buy four to six every season for work).
But, you’ll find more classic patterns and high end pieces up at the Symmes Township store, which I also shop. My husband found a great wool coat there last winter and a suit or two. Bought him some cashmere sweaters for Christmas as well. In general, great quality for the pricepoint.
I do wish they’d pare down the overwhelming clutter on the floor. They used to stage it more elegantly with waterfall racks making it easier to shop.

Stein Mart is an upscale, boutique-​style men and women’s department store chain based in Jacksonville, Florida. They carry recent trends for women and men as well as home décor, accessories and shoes at a discounted price.
A group of friends and I are going to Keeneland, Kentucky (Horse track). Engagement/​Theme was to dress up Derby style. I needed a cute fancy hat and Stein Mart came to mind. When I walked in, I was shocked with their selection! They had so many to choose from! I believe the price I paid for the hat was fair ($ 39.99).
I looked around the store and noticed all the clothes were bright and popped! Clothes are great quality at a reasonable price.
My only con is that it was really hard to get around. I felt claustrophobic! Everything was cluttered and not spacious like most department stores. Don’t get me wrong, it was organized but every rack was squeezed together that it was overwhelming to shop.
Check out was quick and employees were friendly.
I give this place 3 ½ Stars (I wish they have that option instead of 3 stars) only because of the clutterness. But I do like their clothing, which I describe classy and chic.

We stopped in here on Saturday evening. The store was busy, which was great, however… This store needs a major overhaul.
There was so much stuff crammed into this store there was barely room to move in the aisle, let alone between any racks or if someone else was beside you. It was hard to look at certain things if someone else was trying to pass you or standing behind you and that was disappointing.
We were here to find a pair of men’s boots, but did not have any luck.
Another factor leading to the one star rating was the condition of the restroom. To say it was dirty would be an understatement.
We did not see any staff in the store except for the two ladies at the register by the front door.
If I needed to shop at Stein Mart again, I would definitely go to the Harper’s Pointe location.

I always always thought that Stein Mart was for ladies of a certain age (read: grandma types). However, I was so wrong!
After adventuring in one day this store has become my go to for nice stylish business wear and fun summer dresses. The trick is to hit it on the right day when what you’re looking for has just been put on sale. Without the sale tag these items are a bit too spendy for me.

Great location. Great sale prices. Occasional coupons.
I never find clothes for myself, but I like some of the home décor and I usually find some work shirts for my hubby.

As far as men’s clothing is concerned, they mostly have casual workout clothes and then lots of business casual to full blown suits. I went here looking for weekend going out kinda clothes and left without finding anything worth my money.
What I did find was a large selection of watches that really looked good. Some were only $ 10! Definitely get here soon to see if there are any left as I am sure the sale will not last.
I was there on a Monday and apparently it was senior discount day and the watch rang up to only about $ 8.60. So, there, you now have a reason to go out with Mom or Gma!
Overall, this place kinda reminds me of a mix between a Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx. The homegoods and other miscellaneous stuff kinda sour this place for me, but to each their own. I’ll probably be back but probably shopping for people other than myself.

Just got back from a trip to this location today and I’ll admit it has been a year or two since I have been at this store. First, let me say that my rating has no reflection on the staff all of whom were friendly and helpful. However, this store is in desperate need of a little TLC. The store looks as if it hasn’t had an update since the mid-1990’s. The fixtures, carpets, paint, etc. all look the same as they did back them, except worse for the wear. The carpets are in desperate need of cleaning, with lots of places where they are stained and dirty. The dressing rooms could use some painting and the air conditioning was not working well. Everything had a grimy, humid feeling. The prices and selection were okay, but the whole feeling of the store, makes me not want to go back.

Great location of this name brand discount retailer of clothing and home items! I came here not long after I moved to the area and the cashier who helped me actually re-​did the entire (multi-​item) purchase for me because I had a blonde moment and tried to enter my debit card info even though I was applying for a Stein Mart credit card!
I have received excellent service each time I’ve been there (many times now) and my husband and I always find something, whether it’s clothing for one of us or something for the house.
