Spoils Field isn’t the best venue for a softball game, but I hold ‘the dump’ (as its been endearingly called by its patrons for years) near and dear to me for a variety of reasons:
1) It’s one of those places where everyone just kind of knows everyone
2) It’s a great place to hang out with friends and catch a weeknight ballgame
3) There’s beer on tap as well as burgers and dogs on the grill and a full-​service snack bar
There is only one field and it’s actually rather refreshing because, compared to the other softball multiplexes around the city, there is only one game going on at a time.
