This place has so many delicious options to pick from. There is something for everyone.

Rooted is the place to go for clean, fresh, food. The smoothies are expensive but they are full of nutritious goodies and very satisfying. I haven’t tried the warm bowls yet but my husband has reported they are good. There are plenty of healthy snacks and a delicious looking selection of chocolate treats, too. The prices are higher depending on what you get, but it is obvious a lot of care and thought goes into all the food and it’s not outrageous for what you get. The space it self is very open, clean, and minimalist. Extra points for separating waste for compost, recycling, etc.

I’ve been to the Oakley location twice. The first time, my mom and I shared a cup of soup and one of the bowls that are currito — esque. That time, everything tasted okay but nothing was amazing. I felt quite ripped off for the price of the bowl. However, I gave it a second try and fell in love. My friend and I shared the special, the nachos, and the pesto ricotta sandwich. Both were amazing, full of flavor, so delicious. While the prices are quite high, you are getting delicious food made from high quality, organic ingredients. Everything is plant based and a lot is raw. I appreciate Rooted’s concept and I like that they don’t offer any«fake meat» that is highly processed, like a lot of other vegan restaurants. They are truly whole foods and plant based. I also like that they keep out juices to sample. The one that is light blue/grey is amazing and I will probably end up buying it by the bottle some day. My mom and I tried to take our friend to lunch at the new Mariemont location, but were very disappointed to discover that it offers no hot items, and is pretty much just grab and go items. Like those found in the cases at the Oakley location. I wish Rooted would be more clear about this on their website as well as their social media, because it is important information to know and it would have saved us the trip. I can’t wait to go back to the Oakley location to try more! Thanks, Rooted, for expanding vegan dining options for Cincinnatians.

We stopped here to grab a quick lunch. We shared the Thai Grain Bowl and the Draganfruit Smoothie Bowl. Everything was really flavorful, but the price definitely adds up quickly. We also snagged a couple of small pieces of chocolate to go — these were all melted by the time I got to eating them, so definitely keep them cold or consume immediately.

I’ve walked by Rooted so so many times and I’ve been attracted by the white/minimalist interior but I actually had a hard time catching them when they were open. Their hours are just kind of funky and don’t line up well with my schedule. Last night I had no groceries and instead of going to Taco Bell and getting a quesalupa, I decided to do something nice to my body! I gave up my vegetarian ways in high school and haven’t looked back too much since. To be honest, I was actually preparing to not like Rooted, because I almost felt it was trying TOO hard to be trendy. The staff was not really friendly and not super helpful with the menu and I was informed that. they were out of tortillas(which eliminated a good portion of the menu that was wraps!!!). Anyway. I ordered the power burger sandwich to go. I had one last errand to run before making it home, but I ended up eating half of the sandwich in the parking lot! Patience is not my strong suit. It was so good! All the ingredients were fresh and the combo was tasty! I think eating food like this just makes you feel good about yourself. I already want to come back and try the curry quinoa, the basil pesto sandwich, an acai bowl, and if I can make myself go to the gym maybe I’ll reward myself with a juice on the way home!(They are a bit pricey.) Overall good! Minus one star for the prices, and hours.

Upon my arrival in Cincinnati, this place was referred to me as a raw, vegan, and completely organic juice bar and café. Based on my experience with Loving Hut(which, to the best of my knowledge, is the only 100% vegan eatery in the area), I assumed that prices there would be regionally reflective. Having eventually made my way there, I came to discover that none of the aforementioned aspects are true, and that this place actually rivals NYC prices whilst offering very little in the way of true value. Being a New Yorker, I feel somewhat inclined to offer regional comparisons from my home«stomping grounds» despite the fact that this may mean very little to those unfamiliar with the offerings within. Therefore, I’ll attempt to simplify things for everyone(including myself) by stating that Rooted has attached high-end boutique juicery pricing(à la Organic avenue) to subpar lunch counter offerings(Bonobos had fresher, better quality offerings which were entirely vegan) – mainly packed cheaply and mindlessly in dreadful plastic. $ 12 for a smallish collard leaf filled with nut & vegetable pâté? Come on, now… To put it even more plainly, I was quite unimpressed with their offerings which were well overpriced and seemingly laden with common allergens(not to mention mindlessly wasteful packaging) from start to finish. Seriously guys, must you make everything with cashews, bananas, or soya? Despite our gratitude in having found TWO(but no more) blended drinks on the menu which were actually free of these aforementioned items, we were not at all impressed with having to pay $ 10-$ 12 for a smallish plastic cup of wholly unremarkable blends which left us wishing that we had simply bought a few organic produce items to blend back at «home base» for a fraction of the price. It also made me feel guilty for having spent so much on so little, when my own work as a raw culinary instructor/chef/activist is geared toward connecting lower income households with healthful options from non-commercial, chemical-free(and preferably local) growers. Whilst I suppose this is a giant step forward for Cincinnati(aka«Porkopolis»), the prices and lack of variety in selection make this option seem quite limited and somewhat unreasonable from the perspective of many. It’s fine in a pinch if you’ve got money to burn, but not a sustainable option for most wellness seekers on a budgeted path. Setting more reasonable prices at an establishment such as this could really open up an entirely new world of healthful options to a greater demographic in the area, which is something I feel that this city really needs.

Can’t get enough of this place. I am in love with their Mac and Cheese, the Burrito, the Nachos, and their desserts, and their smoothies and mylks(that is how you spell it) and everything. I absolutely love all their drinkables, their mock tuna salad is also really great to take home and make sandwiches. There is literally nothing I have had here that was not lovely, filling and delicious. Even my meat’n potatoes parents loved it here. I love this place!!!

Do you ever have one of those weeks where all you’ve eaten is garbage(hello fast food) and you feel disgusting? That’s when you need to head to Rooted to try some of their organic, vegan food, smoothies, and juices! The thing that sets Rooted apart from the others is the fact that they can make healthy food taste GOOD(no small feat). I have been trying for months to get my carnivore husband to come to Rooted with me. Finally I wore him down and convinced him to go there for an early dinner. First off, this place is hip as hell. White walls, subway tile, succulents… this place looks like it fell right out of my Pinterest board(in a good way!). He ordered the pesto sandwich with macadamia nut«ricotta»(can’t remember prices, around $ 9), and I got the power burger(around $ 9). We both decided so split the Monkey Business smoothie($ 9.50). To be honest, my husband had very low expectations because he has had vegan food before and never enjoyed it. I think I made him a convert! He really liked his sandwich a lot, and was super interested in how they made this«ricotta» nut mixture. He did say it would be better with some meat on it, but I think he still liked it anyway. haha I personally think his pesto sandwich was better than my power burger, but the power burger was also good. I’m used to veggie burgers being made from black beans or something, this one was made from seeds so it had a very thick, chewy texture. The taste was good, but I wasn’t a fan of the mouth feel. Loved the bread they used! The smoothie was awesome and a great sweet treat! I feel like this could be a great supplement to my diet to try to replace some of my take out meals with healthier options. I don’t know if I could come here all the time though because the prices are pretty high. I thought the sandwiches were reasonably priced, but the smoothies and juices are expensive(I understand there’s a lot of ingredients that go into one smoothie or juice, and it’s all organic, hence the hefty price tag). Overall, a great change of pace and a nice addition to Oakley!

The juices here are delicious and I actually did my first cleanse ever, and they were terrific in guiding me through the process! I even lost 19 lbs!!! The food is also delicious even though it’s healthy, which is tough to find in Cincy! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and always in a good mood!

Great juice and food options in Oakley. They have samples of juice out for customers, and tables for those dining in. You can tell the ingredients are very fresh, which is probably why the place is a bit pricey. I ordered the basil pesto sandwich with hummus, and it had a great flavor! Loved their balsamic

Great store, great products. This store is like a modern herbal pharmacy, everything you buy is organic and vegan, healthy, but most importantly, it is actually delicious! The salads and wraps are great for a healthy lunch, I was so impressed with the mock tuna salad, made from nuts, tasted so goood! Would definitely recommend trying their sandwiches. The cold pressed juices are great, however they come at substantial cost. Ah, I also love their chocolate vegan treats! Very rich!

Great store and kitchen! Everything they offer in the store is vegan, organic and delicious. Their juices are really good and are good for you. While not cheap, you definitely get the best and freshest product. I tried several flavors of the juices(cool names, like Awake, Alive or Reset) and the nut milk, which was fantastic. The juices are pressed cold to preserve all the vitamins and flavor. I took a Thai wrap to work and it was very fresh and tasty. I am a great fan of their Kale chips with mock cheese, wow! The Acai bowl was very good too. I am really curious about their hot offering from their kitchen menu, will be back!

I’ve been to Rooted 3 times(one time was a Unilocal Event). I find myself going back because it provides a nice healthy & delicious option for dining. They are well known for their juices, but they have a kitchen too. It’s pretty awesome food! I’m not a vegetarian and I’m not a Vegan. Admittedly, I’m not into their juices. The juice costs a small fortune. I appreciate everything that goes into them and understand the cost to produce is higher than average, but it’s not worth it for me personally. I encourage you to try their food items. The menu is all vegan friendly. I’ve tried the nachos, the burrito bowl, and the almond Thai wrap. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. It’s awesome what they can make vegan nachos and burritos taste so good and like the real deal. They also have smoothies and bakery items. Definitely lots of options here. It’s just the type of place I will only go to now and again when I decide to treat myself. The staff is super friendly and obviously very passionate about what they do. They have two new stores opening up and haven’t even been in business for a year, so obviously they have quite the following. Best of luck on their continued success!

Normally I’m a meat person but this place makes veggies and fruits awesome! The inside is modern and cleanly decorated. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the food they make. I have been here a few times now and not a bad thing yet! I love the rainbow«noodle» salad — the noodles are a assorted veggies, like squash«carved» into noodle shape. The dressing is amazing! It’s good for you but doesn’t taste«healthy» ;) Their chocolate truffles are awesome, rich but not overly sweet. I got the chocolate cookie dough and pecan truffles — yay antioxidants :) The acai bowl is so good, it’s like eating a dessert for breakfast! Definitely recommend!

I finally found the perfect juice bar that is really good and close by my home. I’ve tried 3 other places in the Cincinnati area and Rooted Juicery is hands down my favorite. Most places are sold out of their juices(don’t keep it well stocked) and their hours are weird(they are only open for a couple of hours or close early). After attending a Unilocal event a couple of days ago, I knew I would be coming back. I was sold on their products. My schedule is always on the go and sometimes don’t have time to cook. This place is perfect because I can get to go meals or order to go. I purchase a couple of things on this visit. I got the Magical Mylk– Almonds, Dates, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Vanilla, Sea Salt, and Filtered water which is great for healthy hair/skin, strong bones and heart health. As my meals, I am addicted to the Kale Caesar Salad and Rainbow Noodles which all their vegetables are 100% Organic, buy them locally and the dressing is made in house. I am a huge believer in supporting small businesses that put out quality products. This place is definately it! The workers are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The next time I come back, I would like to dine in and try their sandwiches and wraps. I highly recommend their raw desserts as well, which they also make in the store. There is so many items to choose from. It’s so hard to choose my favorites. I like that they have a wide variety of foods and juices. Repeated customer for sure! I am addicted!

As a registered dietitian, I want to emphasize how great it is to have a place with easy to grab, healthy choices in the area but my profession is where my issues with this business come too. Healthy food needs to be made affordable and accessible to all and when the cheapest drink on the menu is ~$ 9 and it’s not even meal food(I’d consider juice and smoothies to be snacks…) it’s hard to justify that type of expense. That aside, I will say that they made a green smoothie I enjoyed. It didn’t taste like grass so that’s a win in my book. I’m sure the juices are refreshing but there is no world I live in where you’ll convince me to spend $ 10 on a bottle of juice. I don’t even spend that much on a Starbucks coffee. The food options all sounded healthy and delicious – it’s a great looking lunch menu. However, it would have to be a treat to come here(based on price) and eating healthy shouldn’t be a treat it should be affordable. I know some people think that the price of healthy eating can’t be labeled but I just don’t think it’s worth dropping my entire bank account on juice.

We were looking for a place with acai bowls in greater Cincinnati. The options are very limited, with maybe 3 places total who have them. We found this place on the short list and based on the reviews, decided to give it a try. The décor is very simple and clean. The restaurant is open and has many windows so there is a lot of natural light. We really enjoyed hanging out and eating inside. I wish they had a few different options for acai bowls instead of just one. However, the bowl we did have was very good. We also had the teriyaki wrap which was very tasty too. I usually like some type of meat in my meal but I could easily eat this daily. I wish there was something like this a little closer to Mason.

I LOVED visiting Rooted Juicery following their participation at a previous Unilocal Elite event and was once again blown away with the delicious offerings and environment Rooted provides! My boyfriend and I stopped in on Sunday morning after a night of heavy foods and drinks in OTR. We were looking for something refreshing and light to kick off the beautiful Sunday, and I knew Rooted would hit the spot. When we arrived, we were the only customers in the store, so it was nice to be able to peruse the menu without any pressure. We ended up deciding on three items: the Strawberry Fields smoothie, the Acai Bowl, and a Banana Muffin. Strawberry Fields smoothie — Presented as a beautiful colored pink this smoothie was a little bit on the average side. The flavor just was not there, but we still ended up finishing it. Acai Bowl — This bowl was delicious! Unlike the smoothie, the bowl was plentiful with flavor. All the ingredients combined into a dark purple, creamy mixture and was topped with bananas, coconut, and granola! I loved every moment of eating it. It does come in larger container(bigger than what I was expecting), and made it easy to save seconds for later in the day. Banana Muffin — Holy Muffin. This was so good. And it is hard to believe it was an organic, vegan, gluten free creation. Even my boyfriend, who tends to be skeptical of those labels, agreed it was a delicious muffin. I could eat these all day, every day. If you are newer to organic/plant based food or just want to try it once, I highly recommend grabbing a muffin and/or a smoothie and then expanding your palette with Rooted’s meals or food to go(including juices!). The prices overall tend to lean towards the expensive side — for those three items, I ended up paying around $ 20 — but the quality and integrity of the food makes the price worth it.

My mom has recently been put on a vegan diet for medical reasons and it’s been really hard finding a place that has options for her at all, let alone options that taste good. I’m SO happy my boss suggested we try rooted. We both got a burrito bowl, which we agree was delicious and a very good portion(we both got smaller). The burrito bowl has brown rice, black beans,(an awesome) guacamole, tomato salsa, romaine lettuce shreds, cabbage, peppers, onions, tortilla chips and cashew cheese. The cashew cheese is so good… we thought it was some kind of dressing. We washed all of this down with a grateful juice(cucumber, pineapple, E-3 live, aloe, kale, lemon & Ginger) and a rooted juice(carrots, Apple, ginger, aloe Vera & lemon)…both were good, but it took my mom a few sips to get used to her juice. After dinner we got the key lime pie & chocolate mousse pie. My mom LOVED the key lime pie, she was so thrilled to find a vegan & low sugar dessert(she hasn’t been able to eat dessert in months because her diet excludes sugar). My chocolate mouse pie was also delicious and I’d recommend it to any of my friends, vegan or not. I can’t wait to bring our family and friends back! Well done Rooted, well done… and thank you for such delicious food!

Rooted, I love ya. As a person who had a plant based diet for a long time, this place makes it easy and convenient to eat healthy on the run. Recently, I had the faux tuna salad sandwich, so delicious. Fresh tasting, reminiscent of tuna but with out the fishy flavor. Composed mainly of walnuts, it’s filing and protein packed. I’m a huge fan of nuts used as a meat substitute and Rooted does a great job. The Grateful Juice is fantastic. Lime and ginger heaven. Look no further than this concoction. The prices are steep but you get what you pay for in quality and freshness. Not somewhere I’m able to go often, but when in a pinch Rooted offers the best selection of healthy made to order food.
