I stopped in at Rockler Woodworking last week to see what this place has to offer since my newest interest in woodworking has been piqued. You will find this store to be clean and the people who are there very knowledgeable. Since I’m fairly new at this, I looked up their class schedule online and was interested in two of their classes. When I went in, it just happened that one of the classes was that very night with one opening so I signed right up. The price was very reasonable — $ 25 to turn a wooden pen on a lathe! The instructor’s name was Dennis and I highly recommend him because he is personable and knowledgeable with great communication skills. I kept thinking«Am i going to be able to make this?» Oh, ye of little faith — by the end of the evening I had a beautiful, handcrafted writing instrument. Next, I plan to take a bowl turning class in January. They have displays of other things you can make or that others have made. Besides classes they have big power tools, supplies, instruction books, kits, veneers and wood. Go in, walk around. You won’t be disappointed.

Good service. It’s almost impossible to walk into this store without getting greeted by an employee and asked if you need any help. Great selection of hardware and finishes. Regularly have things on sale. The sales fliers can be addictive to your tool habit.
