Pier 1 Imports

Really not sure what is going on with the bad reviews here… I had an excellent experience in this store. I was greeted immediately by the manager herself within seconds of walking in. I was looking for kitchen items which apparent pier one does not carry…
She openly informed me of the lack of kitchenware in their store but encouraged me to shop around as there was likely to be something that I loved for a great price. I’m glad I wandered around as it turned out that she was right. Scored a large, beautiful print in the clearance section for 75% off (priced at $ 50, originally $ 200)! Best part is that she arranged for FedEx shipping across the U.S. for only $ 20!!!
If you’re not convinced of the superb customer service yet, then I will lastly mention that I was also able to get an additional 10% off with an online coupon that I found while searching on my phone during the checkout process.
I have nothing but high praises and am an extremely satisfied customer of this pier one location.

Pier One Imports to me is just a place filled with a bunch of junk. Need a table? They got it. Need something to hold your lemonade? They got it. Need that Chinese themed chess set? They will definitely have it.
This store makes no sense to me but there is obviously a market for them somewhere. Well, at least the people I travel with find the value of the things in this store. Pier One is a one stop shop for everything you didn’t know you needed. Good luck trying to find it as there is no rhyme or reason to the set up of the store. The staff can probably help you and look for all of the discounts. It looked like everything was on discount.

They have an interesting selection of items with moderate prices. The items are very unique and beautiful. However, the service is terrible! I waited greater than 10 minutes in line to buy my item and had to go find someone in the back who was straightening things up. The lady ahead of me was having a difficult time returning her items because the return policy is very restrictive and many things cannot be returned at all. While this is not stated anywhere obvious or on the receipt, the customer was very upset and she was met with a poor attitute and unprofessional response from the associate. If I was not in such a rush and in need of the the item I purchased for the next day, I would have given my business to someone else and left.
