I am not one to normally sell goods at a flea market, but rather than have a yard sale, I decided to load up my truck, pay $ 12 and set up shop in the parking lot. The person selling next to me was friendly, helping me become aquatinted with the regulars. I could tell from the start that many of the people come here week after week, searching for bargains. I was fortunate to make over $ 100 in two hours. This will largely depend on the types of items you are selling and the weather, just like a yard sale, but it’s a great alternative with minimal effort.

At first glance this place is awesome. The outside vendors are great and there’s always a variety. However, after going there for a few weeks in a row, I noticed two things. First they let vendors buy from one another. So I literally was undersold by another vendor, trying to buy new items for my collection, when a vendor walked up, saw me going for them, and then BOUGHT those items. Then he turned around and tried to sell these to me for 5x the original price. Most flea markets forbid this behavior! Don’t wast your time on the inside. The vendors found out what I was looking for and all of the sudden a $ 5 piece that was wrecked and horrible condition was marked at $ 40(above what it would be bought for at mint). And to make matters worse the guy actually tried to convince me it was valuable. Not good for establishing long term business relationships. I look for fair relationships for long term buying and selling. The inside vendors just try to rip you off. They don’t care about long term relationships or old fashioned business. They just want to meet the rent price of their space and move on. The inside is pretty dirty too. Bathrooms are in disrepair. I recommend only as an occasional trip but not for the serious collector trying to establish good fair business relationships with vendors and dealers.

This place is kinda dirty. Kinda scary… so, ya know… like most swap meets. There is, on the other hand, basically anything you could think of available. So, head on down the the swap meet and get your shop on!

Just out killing a few minutes and thought we’d check it out. Pure junk with the exception of one little jewelry booth. I could have overlooked the filth if the people were friendly or there were hidden treasures; I’d never go back.

This flea market is close to Lunkin Airport. Admimission & parking are free. There is an overflow lot accross the street, I usually use it since the main lot is much more hectic. There is a UDF accross the street with an ATM, should you need cash or an ice cream. Like most flea markets there is a lot of junk for sale, but there are also lots of surprises. We go there on Saturday or Sunday morning, just to get a nice walk, if we find something, its a plus. Several stands sell produce, some of it is home grown. As you can see from some of the pictures if you go too late or it gets too hot the vendors pack up and leave, unsold items are often left behind(the staff cleans up). We have good and bad shopping days, but since its free there is nothing to lose.

«California knows how to party!» — TuPac Though TuPac was not talking about California, Ohio in his hit«California Love» he certainly could have been if he had visited Peddlers Flea Mkt. Peddlers Flea Mkt is a salt of the earth type of place. The kind of place where people come to sell in order to get their next fix or to get money to pay rent on their doublewide. On Saturday’s there are outside vendors and boy can you get a deal. Stacks on stacks of DVD’s for a $ 1 each and an assortment of everything you need and don’t need from clothing to ramen noodles to vintage comic books. I would advise bringing a bottle of sanitizer with you as you have no idea where the items were before they ended up at Peddlers. A flea market that reminds me of the flea markets of my younger years. Good old used stuff, and not just tables of crap imported from China. I will be back and perhaps set up a booth some time!
