On Fire Grill

This place sucks now! It opened about a year ago in the same location as the old Goodies BBQ and offered food for the diverse pallet. On Fire Mediterranean Grill is the name yet there are no Mediterranean foods offered anymore. In addition to shawarma, they offered Mediterranean foods like falafel and other baked items. The menu was spectacular and the clientele was diverse. Since then a lot has changed! The menu no longer offers anything other that fried chicken and fish items with the occasional «philly» cheesesteak. The restaurant is in the 50% African American college hill community and my guess is they are catering specifically to the (stereotypical) African American. I went once in person last week and ordered the ½ grilled chicken and they stated they didn’t have it. I called again today so I didn’t have to waste a trip and they still don’t have and have no plans of getting it yet it remains on the menu. I would not recommend this place as there are no longer healthy options to choose from. I’m highly disappointed.

Just came in because I had no other options and it gets worse and worse! I can’t come back!

Worst Philly I’ve ever had. The bun was a very soft, white-​bread bun that fell apart in my fingers and made a mess. The chicken was thrown onto the grill with a few banana peppers and some cheese sauce. It was absolutely tasteless. The fries weren’t bad, but then, it’s hard to ruin fries. Quisnos makes a better sub, and I don’t care for Quisnos.

I read the menu and saw the pictures of this place and was super excited. went for lunch today and first the menu is no
longer what is posted here, no shawarma just fried fish burgers and chicken. ordered a gyro the ONE person working just barked 10 minutes at us, we sat at a dirty table because all the tables were dirty. the place filled up one guy ordered took a look around yelled to cancel his order and bailed, I’m wishing we had done the same. gyro was ok taziki sauce was too thick and could have passed as tartar sauce the fries were limp and old. not a good place. will never return.

A modest place that houses food with big flavor and good pricing! Give this place a try!
I have been eyeing this place for some time. Tonight I decided to go in and give it a try. I opted for chicken shawarma, something I’ve tried elsewhere. I also got a large piece of baklava. The wrap came with plenty of fries with lemon pepper. The chicken was most and flavorful! See my picture of both. The baklava was very sweet and crumbly on top. Not the best but enjoyable still.
Also while in line, the person behind me could NOT say enough about how good his fish sandwich was from his last visit. I’ll be trying that next time I go.
