The staff was rude. They were out of everything and it was only 12:30pm. It wasn’t because of a crowd either. There was no line at all. The food that they did have was not good. Won’t be back.

The food had no taste. The employees were very rude. When we asked what we should order, we were told the hamburger. So I ordered the hamburger and she said they are not ready yet.

This place is famous for their burgers but they didn’t have any??? Employees were rude. They finally said you can have a burger but you have to wait. Mac and cheese was the only thing good

A pretty good hole in the wall. The wingettes and fries delicious! The sirloin was okay. Same with the Mac & cheese and green beans. I would return but only if I’m in the area.

It was very tasty. BBQ sauce is delicious. Daily special BBQ Ribs Tips — more bones than meat. Quick, cheap and tasty. Outdoor tables dirty, dusty and crowded with hungry flies. Actually, a good place for a quick grab and go lunch.

Just enjoyed the Breakfast Cup at Ollie’s Trolley, a legend in a fast-gentrifying Cincinnati neighborhood. Fluffy grits, thick cut bacon, meaty sausage, perfect potatoes, egg and cheese in a cup for $ 5.00. Ollie’s get 5 star reviews and they deserve it. I’ll be back for a burger later. Ollies is next door to the Samuel Adams brewery and a short walk to the young and yuppy Over The Rhine shopping/dining area. But I like the real down home ambiance of Ollies. Only a service counter in the trolley… plenty of outdoor seating.

Don’t let the looks fool you. This family run business has been around for decades and their food is great. Look for the specials like brisket or fish. The BarBq is the best.

This had to be the most dried chicken I have ever had in my life. It taste like it was fried before and then re-fried later on. First time here and last!

Went here on August 12th, 2014 with a friend. We’re from Arizona and we stopped by when we were super hungry. The price was just right and it tasted pretty dang good! The location of the place might be less desirable for some, but it’s not too far from downtown Cinci. Stopped here before the Reds game and we were both satisfied. Unique little place.

Although it’s freezing outside, I would brave the cold to go again. The«restaurant» is really an ordering counter. There is no indoor seating. Don’t be fooled by the dilapidated interior, the food stands on its own. I had the pulled pork sandwich with two sides; mac & cheese and rice & red beans. Each item was surprisingly great. I really enjoyed my meal even though I had to return home to eat it.

Is it possible to compare food that comes from a little Trolley to a renown, California-born burger chain? Umm, yes. My lunch date and I both agreed that the«Ollie sauce» in the burger is very similar to that of In-n-Out’s «secret sauce»(which is really homemade Thousand Island), making it very reminiscent of home. I guess maybe because the meat is pretty similar too. We got the Ollie Burger($ 3.95?) and the Mushroom Burger(which has two patties! and some other treats inside) with Ollie Fries($ 6.95 together) and Mac&Cheese($ 2). De-lightful. All of it. I would try all of it(not just burgers, but the sides, «comfort food,» etc) if I could one day. Their specials were also tempting, ranging from salmon to jerk chicken wraps. Eat outside if the weather permits, maybe you’ll see Ollie himself~

Ollie actually runs the trolley. Good food, great atmosphere and who knows you may meet some celebrities, athletes or even the President.

Ollie’s Trolley is a new favorite of mine. If you’re in Downtown Cincinnati and like BBQ, you gotta try it! Due to the kitchen and order area being in an actual trolley, you are limited to sitting outside with a limited amount of seating, or get your food to go, but this small hurdle won’t stop me. I’ve have had both their Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich and their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich… both were great! Their side items are very good too! Across the street is a Drive Thru with«LEANWITITROCKWITIT» painted on the building… it’s pretty entertaining to watch the people going in and out of there too. I plan on going to Ollie’s Trolley on a regular basis. It’s great!

We drove by here a few times before we dared to stop, but we were very glad we did. Thumbs up on the burgers, fried chicken wings, pork chops, mac and cheese. Pro tips: take your food to go.

Oh, YUM! Ollie’s Trolley serves up some of the tastiest burgers in the city. This Cincinnati institution serves up deluxe, hand-pressed quarter pounders for under $ 5.00. To compliment the burgers, you can get a variety of soul food sides, such as: — Mac & Cheese — Potato Salad — Baked Beans — Black Eyed Peas — Collard Greens — Buttered Corn — Pinto Beans — Cabbage — Home Fries — Green Beans — Chili — Cole Slaw Yep, that’s a lot of sides. But wait, there’s more! Additional mains include: — Ribs — Pulled Pork Sandwiches — Fried Chicken(dinners or by the piece) — Fried Cod(dinner or sandwich) — Hot Dogs — Chili Dogs — Hot Metts — Double Decker Sandwiches Did I mention they have milkshakes as well? If you’re overwhelmed with the menu, go for the burger. It’s what they’re known for. But then come back and try something else. It’s ALL good! Be sure to stop by around Thanksgiving, where you can pick up an entire turkey, cooked and ready to go, straight from Ollie’s oven! Ollie’s Trolley is an actual trolley car located right under the giant Obama mural on Liberty Street; you can’t miss it.

I have seen Ollie’s Trolley many times but I never stopped there to try it. I was out with a friend and she said let’s go there. Well that was a mistake because I love everything about this place, and now I won’t want to go anywhere else. The cool little trolley car that houses the restaurant is very unique. Everyone that works there was friendly, especially Ollie himself. He is a friendly and happy man, which added to the charm of the place. He was happy to hear that it was my first time there. Now onto the greatness… the food. First of all I am a burger junkie so naturally I am drawn to them automatically on the menu. Ollie’s offer several different hamburgers. I love barbecue sauce so I went for the Barbecue Burger and my friend had The Big Ollie Burger which I guess is the stand by burger, and let me say it is AMAZING! We split them so I could try both. I was not disappointed either. The burger patties are big, and juicy. The barbecue sauce is sweet, smokey and tangy the way barbecue sauce should be. It was a beautiful day out so we sat outside to eat it(which if you want to eat it there that is your only choice) I felt all nice and warm inside after eating it. It was truly a great hamburger and a great experience. To top it off I had a slice of chess pie delivered out by the man himself. That was an amazing slice of pie!

Ollie’s is the kind of place that, once you finally stop in, it quickly becomes your go-to lunch spot. It only took me two years of living nearby to go, but I am so glad that I did. While somewhat of a knock-off with it’s special sauce, lettuce, cheese, and pickles, the Big Ollie Burger puts the Big Mac to shame. It’s juicy, a bit sinful, and so good. The fries are also really great. They’re thin, crisp, and topped with a special seasoning mix. I haven’t tried most of the other sides that Ollie offers, but the macaroni and cheese is also divine. In fact, I struggle so much with the decision of fries or mac that, admittedly, I sometimes get both! The prices are also incredibly reasonable. For my husband and I, we’ve never spent more than $ 15 for the both of us to have lunch. For your convenience, Ollie’s also accepts credit cards, unlike many other small restaurant spaces, and there is ample street parking nearby. Ollie’s pretty much assures that I’ll never fall into the fast food lunch trap again.

If you’re not from the neighborhood and a bit timid you’ll drive past Ollie’s Trolley but that would make you an idiot. Next time you’re downtown and hungry for a good, cheap burger drive over to the corner of Central and Liberty and order a Big Ollie Burger with fries. It’s cooked perfectly with only enough grease to claim itself a good burger. They also top it with the very special Ollie Sauce. I don’t know what it is, but it’s heaven. Fries are good too. There’s a couple tables outside to eat at which is just fine but the burgers also benefit from a 20 minute drive home to let the flavors meld… and permeate your car for a pleasant aromatic surprise the next morning.

I just learned that Ollie’s does fried turkeys for Thanksgiving. No mess, no stress, just go pick one up! I’m going to have to try this!
