This experience was quite abysmal. The cheese with our chips was curdled. They had none of the sauces that we wanted. The prices of things sucked. And to top it off sauce was dry. the

This is such a fun selection of different Eastern European Cuisines. I love how they identify the country on the menu. The eggplant appetizer was fresh and tasty. The fried meat pastry was ok. The bread that they serve is delicious. The pirogies were quite tasty as was a rice dish that I don’t remember the name ok. The Lamb kebab was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The carrot salad that comes with everything was amazingly tasty. The honey cake and the fruit cake are quite good. Service is very soft spoken which is sometimes a little hard if you are new to the place. Helps quite a bit to go with someone who speaks Russian. Overall I would definitely recommend for someone looking to try some different types of cuisines.

The food is GREAT but they don’t deliver and need to update their website and Unilocal.Unilocal does have some delivery service for this restaurant for a charge.

Kutabs(spinach & cheese on grilled phyllo), bread, borscht, and beef stroganoff were all excellent. Large portions too.

Interesting place. I had lunch on a weekday and it was empty except one table of customers, who seemed to know the server. The service was curt but not impolite. The service was also very sparing so not very attentive but it was fine. I enjoyed the diversity of their menu. The Beef Strogonoff was fine. The Ayran sour yogurt drink was fine. The Manty(beef and lamb dumplings) were fine.

I happened upon this fabulous place looking for a quick lunch of tabouli, it’s was a bit confusing. Thinking it was Mediterranean we quickly ordered a gyro and chicken shwerma.(Sp?) to go. Being new to Unilocal I hadn’t looked here first. Everything was so spectacular I felt the need to share a review. While I waited I got real story and a sample of the honey cake I will dream about! Our service was wonderful! The food awesome! Excellent value! Very special! I can’t wait to come back and have some real Russian specialties! I’ve learned my lesson Unilocal!Knowing I missed the opportunity for homemade sour cream I’ll read first before picking up carry out ! Go here! Eat something different! They have live music too! I think they worked out the service issues others spoke of at least at lunch on Saturday. I loved it and will stop every time I’m visiting There is nothing better than an unexpected delicacy to delight me!

Lagman entrée is so-o-o great. I love the teapots, the demure servers, the old world décor, the greek salads, the bread. This is a special place with unusual, homey, authentic food. If you are looking for a unique and relaxing experience — with«Eurasian» warmth, try this restaurant. Great for date night! –OK, yes the service is sometimes a bit slow but it made me slow down and really enjoy myself.- If you consider yourself an impatient, fussy American, I’d try somewhere else.

Horrible slow service… Saw many customers come and wait and then leave. Was served meal with out any thing to drink. Waited 10 minutes on the front cashier desk to pay my bill. Rang the bell, called the restaurant phone; no reply. Left a $ 20 bill for a $ 10 meal under the ketchup bottle.

We used to eat here a lot but their customer service always sucked. We went back after a while, and then I remembered why we stopped coming here it’s because they take forever to bring the food out. Nothing has changed.

I simply love this place. I’ve been several times over the last few years. The borscht and beef stroganoff are amazing. In fact everything I’ve tried here was noteworthy. The last time I went to Oasis Grill my party was the only table speaking English. The rest were speaking Russian and even the pop music on the TV was Russian. Certainly added to the authenticity of the place! My only negative comment is that the service is fairly slow which makes it a difficult choice for a workday lunch especially since it is a ways from my office.

A great hidden gem off Fields Ertel rd. came here for a birthday party. Food was excellent, especially the fish. Bonus: best Euro dance night in town on the weekends

The food was second to none! The only reason I chose to delete a star was because the service was OK but not stellar. The waitress lacked confidence, spoke so darned quietly that I really have no idea what she said. Luckily my lip reading and menu reading skills are excellent. OK lets chat about the meal(s). They were fantastic, any chef would have been proud of the flavors and the foods. The appetizers at the table were the Cheburek, Kutab and Calamari. All were excellent although the Calamari was kinda like the calamari one gets anywhere. The Russion dishes were the best. Our meals included: =============== Clay Pot Goulash — Oh my! This was perfect! Hot, well adorned, lots of meat! Super WOW! ===================================================== Beef Stroganoff — I did steal a few pieces of meat from my wife’s plate and I can report that she did make a great choice. ===================================================== Lamb Kebab Entrée — That really did look excellent. I was allowed one piece of lamb off the skewer and again, it was a great choice. ===================================================== Cabbage Rolls — Golubsty — Stuffed with spiced ground beef. It looked damned good from where I was sitting! ===================================================== For dessert, my friend had the thing on the right hand side of the third shelf down and seemed pleased with his choice. I did n ot really care because I was too busy eating a very unique vanilla ice cream that was truly different and refreshing. That will be my dessert of choice next time I go! We did bring our own wines in screw top bottles and no screwing fee was charged. We’ll be back!

Oasis came up, for me, on a search for lunch as I was passing through Cincinnati during lunch on a Sunday. I was immediately interested when I saw they specialized in traditional Russian dishes with a healthier flair. I like Russian, and Eastern European, food in general, but it can be very filling because of all the heavy ingredients. When we arrived, we were at first confused because all we saw was a counter with some items behind it and a few tables. When we told the waitress we were eating in, she pointed to the dining area — a much larger, cozier, and comfortable area. We had the place to ourselves for quite some time, evidently it’s quiet on Sunday afternoons. I certainly hope it’s busier on weekdays, being in a strip mall. A couple of TVs had Russian pop videos playing. I had no clue about the artists or the music, but the music was catchy and addicting. We ordered traditional Russian dishes off their lunch menu, i.e., the manti(dumplings) and golubsty(cabbage rolls). While we were waiting for our meals, we had to endure inhaling the aroma of bread being freshly baked, which, sadly, we could not have unless we ordered dinners. But the aroma of large amounts of fresh parsley and dill on my golubsty was an acceptable substitute. The meals did taste very authentic, and indeed not quite so heavy, and of course we were given a ladle of sour cream to apply on everything. The aftertaste of our meals lingered pleasantly for hours. Lunch at Oasis was a great find and a nice break for a day’s worth of driving.

We have lived in walking distance of Oasis for over a year and have never been in to try it. But today was the day and now we are kicking ourselves for not trying it sooner. Amazing. We actually might go back for dinner tonight to try sown thing else lol

I just had the lamb and beef with rice pilaf at the Taste of Cincinnati. This was deliciousness in a bowl. Think creamy risotto(rather than rice pilaf) with carrots and other spices served with slow braised beef and lamb meat. This was so surprisingly good that I will definitely make a point to check out the restaurant. It was heavy for a summer dish but being so good… It didn’t slow me down.

Lula Kebab featured 2 skewers, carrot salad, and I ordered grilled vegetables. All great. She ordered gyro sandwich served with two pieces of paltry pita but a nice pile of meat atop a produce section of carrot, cucumber, tomato and lettuce. Fries over salted. Meal preceded by nice fresh bread. Interesting elegant décor not represented by outdoor façade. When I’m off diet I’ll try what looked to be nice cakes.

This is strictly on the food… OMG delicious, homemade tasting good. Even the French fries were beyond perfect, salted and dressed with fresh parsley. The carrot salad, eggplant salad, housemade sour cream and spicy«ketchup» are musts. I had the gyro platter — gorgeous and more than one can eat. Definitely a shareable meal. And it was only $ 8.50 for LUNCH! How does that happen anymore? Subway next door can’t make ya rave for $ 5. Will be back to try more Russian fusion…

I hit Oasis with a contact of mine for lunch. She’d arrived early and astutely ordered up some tea. The tea itself wasn’t bad. The water was about the right temperature for a green tea, and it wasn’t just a teabag thrown in a pot which was initially reassuring. After a couple false starts selecting from the menu we placed our orders and waited. And waited. And waited. The portion sizes here apparently don’t change between lunch and dinner. The Gyro I ordered covered an entire place and while rather tasty, was delivered with little time to actually eat it over my lunch break. My companion’s meal arrived at the same time, equally large portion-wise, and I don’t think our frustration with the unexpected delay registered to the server. Consulting a new co-worker a short time later I was regaled with stories of the particularly«European» attitude toward service. Even though the food was tasty, the quality, flavor and portion sizes were overshadowed by the delay in returning to work nearly 40 minutes late(from an hour lunch break) to my office just around the corner. The experience what it was may be endemic to lunch here though and I do hope to check them out again soon… for dinner. If you like a hearty meal, and mediterranean cuisine, for dinner, check this place out.

This place is weird, but the food was good and felt very authentic. This may have been partially due to the fact that I was a minority compared to all of the Mediterranean people at tables, and the waiters all speaking a foreign language. I was 1 of 3 people out of about 20 in there who only spoke English. I will agree that the service is a little off, maybe it’s a cultural thing. In any case, the food was really good and reasonably cheap. There were definitely more things on the menu that I wanted but I could only eat so much. I don’t think they serve alcohol and they do make an authentic Turkish coffee.
