My favorite food groups break down to beef, potatoes, cheese & soup, which they all have in excess. Huge baked potatoes. With cheese. French Dip sandwiches. With cheese. Baked potatoes with beef. And cheese. Now don’t worry, there’s all kinds of other stuff, cold, pressed and hot sandwiches, wraps and salads, plus desserts. Healthy takes like Caesar sandwiches that my husband has really enjoyed & salads that look lovely from afar on other people’s plates. Everything I’ve tried has been pretty good, whether take-out or eat-in.

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. Floors completely covered in old food. Tables left Uncleaned while staff stands around. Both male and female bathrooms filthy. No pride, we walked out in disgust.

Mcalisters is great for a chain sandwich shop. The menu is simple yet diverse. Basically you can get a turkey sandwich in any sandwich configuration such as sub, melt, panini, wrap, or club. Everything seems fresh and flavorful. The chicken tortilla soup and the lemonade are standouts.

Good food, interesting you order and someone will bring your food to your table. It was a good experience.

Overrated… prices are a little to high for quality of meat offerings. Good but pricey spud. Iced tea is what they do right. Mac and cheese just to saucy and BLAND. Disappointed to say the least. Service is so SLOW. I waited an extra ten minutes in a not crowded restaurant tonight before a staff person placed my finished food items into a bag. Staff just does not pay attention to customers. Again disappointed with slow or not connected staff roaming around front counter. Will not purchase again from here. Gave them two trys so far will not come back for a third time.

A deli with perfectly cooked vegetables? What? Broccoli and carrots perfectly cooked and seasoned! I mean, the sandwiches were very good too but we were very happy to have this nice little side dish done well. The chicken caesar wrap was very good. Nice balance of meat, lettuce and dressing. Chicken salad wrap was a little too heavy on the mayo and I like the chicken chunked, not finely shredded but it was still very good. Fresh veggies were nice and crisp. Potato salad was pretty good but also a bit too creamy. I’d like a bit more sharp mustard taste in mine. Music at a nice level. Customer service excellent. Store not too cold. Could use a good sweeping but tables were all clean.

I’m not sure if they were short staffed but service seemed a bit slow and tables sat dirty. Food was okay but portions not huge. Just a mediocre experience.

I have been going to McAlister’s for years, they have a pretty extensive menu to please all fares and also have combo/pick two type options if you want ½ sandwich and soup or salad. One of my favorite things is that they are open later on Friday and Saturday nights till 10pm. After 9pm, good choices can become slim around Kenwood. My two favorite sandwiches are the Grilled Chicken club and the McAlister Club. I recommend potato salad as side and if you like lemonade or tea make sure to get one. Yes it is a giant size drink but so good! The also have huge flat cookies for $ 1.

I’ve been wanting to try McAlister’s Deli for years, but never got around to it. My work wanted to get lunch so thought I would join in. McAlister’s is a chain restaurant. There are 6 locations in the Cincinnati area. We ordered our meal at the Montgomery location near Kenwood. They sell Starters(Nachos/Soups), Entrée Salads, Spuds, Hot/Grilled/Club/Classic Sandwiches, Sides (Chips, Potato Salad, Fruit Cup, Coleslaw, Applesauce, Pasta Salad, Steamed Veggies, Macaroni & Cheese or Mashed Potatoes & Gravy– Availability varies by location.), Kids Menu, and more. They also do catering and online ordering. I ordered Smoky Pepper Jack Turkey which is Butterball smoked turkey, applewood smoked bacon and pepper jack cheese topped with McAlister’s Honey Mustard on ciabatta bread and as my side, a bag of Lay’s Potato Chips for $ 7.29(a little steep for me). We got our meals and everything was good. They made sure the orders were correct. Taste of my sandwich was okay. It was a bit salty. The turkey that they used was processed meat. If I was going to pay $ 7.29 for a Turkey sandwich, I thought maybe I would get quality meats from the deli. I am not expecting Boar’s Head, but don’t want cheap protein either. All my friends and family rave about this place, but I think they are overrated. Especially with pricing. I think they are okay, if my work was to order again, maybe I would get a salad or something else. I am not saying my food was bad, but it was just okay.

Always average at best. Nothing bad nothing great. The tea is the best item on the menu but not good enough to keep me coming back. The prices seem high for the quality of food and they removed the chili cheese dip from the menu which was my go to. The chicken tortilla soup is always good but I have tried a lot of the sandwiches and they leave much to be desired.

Service is really important to me & the service here was exceptional! From the minute we walked in, we were greeted. The cashier was patient as made my food selection. I got the pick 2 meal and got tomato soup & the grilled chicken salad. The salad was great and I really enjoyed it. The soup was tasteless which was disappointing. I would definitely go back and try something new because the service was great!

Received a message telling me next time to ask the manager what I should get. Don’t think I need to as what I should avoid.

Had a great meal here. The service is what stands out. Good food too. I had a ½ sandwich and ½ veggie spud, 697 calories. My wife had ½ spud and soup. At first, my sandwich was burned. In less than 2 min, they replaced it with a smile. I’ll be back!

Best McAlister’s experience yet! Having not been to an area with a McAl in a while, I was disappointed when we stopped at one yesterday in Tennessee and found it to be just«fair». I thought maybe McAl had home the way of McD! But since McAl offers a wide variety of allergen-free choices for our family, we tried this one in Cincinnati today. What a difference! We had nearly the same choices today as yesterday, but the food here was 100% better. Our muffaletta sandwiches had more and tastier meats, tons more olive spread and well toasted and tasty bread. My teen got the Spud Max again, and this one had twice the filling. The BLT was also very good, and the veggie chili was surprisingly delicious. As usual, we enjoyed the sweet tea. The staff were all very helpful and courtesy. Someone who seemed to be a manager was working the front, helping people find a good seat(as the place was getting pretty full), and checking in with various tables. And our food came out so much faster and warmer than at the other place. Also, very clean and nice atmosphere. We will definitely stop here on future trips. And for those with food allergies, check out their website for a nifty listing of what will work for you. We found plenty for our dairy-free and soy-free needs.

I’m not sure why, but I’ve never been a huge fan of this place. Not just this location, but the place in general. It just seems sort of bland and ordinary to me despite all the seemingly amazing choices on the menu. I’ve eaten here many times because it’s a friends fave, but cannot recall what I’ve eaten any of those times. The sweet tea is the last thing I tried and it was tasty. The staff were super friendly and service was fast, but I just can’t get into this place for whatever reason. I think it’s a bit pricey, and comparable to maybe a Panera Bread, but not as good.

Given my choice of dreadful chain deli sandwich places I’ll still skip McAlister’s. The chili is some of the worst I’ve ever eaten… or left on the table as the case may be. The meat is about the same quality as Subway, another that I generally choose to drive on by. Those that love this place leave me baffled. What on earth have you been eating to make McAlister’s the top choice?! If i need a sandwich and am in the area I would go for Jimmy Johns, then Panera then if all of the other places were on fire I would acquiesce and try to find something on the menu with flavor. After four tries so far I’ve found nothing. No wait. The brownie was goodish.
