I was impressed with the freshness and the flavor of my Khao Soi Gai with tofu. My husband had the Chicken Basil Country Style, also under Thai Street Food on the menu. Unlike some places you might call for carryout, the staff is friendly! If you tell them what you like, they will point you toward a dish I am sure you will love. There are lots of options in our area(Hyde Park/Oakley), but it is worth the trip for Mango Tree’s quality and service.

All the sushi has a sweet taste to it and so did the ginger. I am not a fan of that. I prefer the sushi and rolls be cleaner and more authentic.

Found this restaurant by chance. Very pleasant surprise. Pad Thai and Red Curry were delicious. Coconut soup could use a little more cilantro and lime but other than that the meal was great. Service was fast and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Vegetable Tempura = AWESOME. Rivals some I’ve had in Japan.

Very unassuming storefront in strip mall but awesome Thai food! Better 3 flavor fish than Asiana or Wild Ginger, and incredible coconut Khan soup. Very reasonable prices and great service too! Second time just as good as the first — same awesome coconut soup with delicious Pad Thai this time!

I am on vacation and therefore unfamiliar with the city, but Mango Tree did not disappoint. The calamari appetizer was hot and crisp, the breading was light, and the dipping sauce was perfect. I can’t remember the name of the sushi roll I ordered – something along the lines of trio roll perhaps — and it was beautiful and delicious. I rarely ever order dessert, but the black sticky rice and mango ice cream was absolutely worth it. Appetizer, entrée and dessert for less than $ 30 is not a bad bargain in my book, especially when everything was wonderful, including service and atmosphere.

I eat here a lot, mostly because I live in Mariemont but also due to the fact that this place is baller. They have a great menu selection and sushi, though it isn’t half priced. If you are trying to get down with that I would recommend Aroma. Mango tree is on point with all of their dishes. I have not been disappointed once. Similar in experience to Green Papaya, which I am also a fan. But you cannot go wrong with Mango tree give it a try!

This place is home especially if you love Asian food. You have to try the Crispy Duck, it has a good flavor and is so tender with a nice texture. The servers are so friendly, too. You can’t go wrong with anything here!

My husband and I went there tonight. We are from Indianapolis and we came to Cincinnati to get away. It was a quick drive and had some nice things we wanted to try. My husband was in the mood for some Thai food, so we decided to try Mango Tree. WEWEREVERYHAPPYWEDID!!! The place is clean when you walk in. Our waitress was very sweet, soft spoken and helpful and a huge delight. The food was fantastic. For appetizer, I had the seafood salad and my husband had the spring rolls. For our main course, I had the 3 spice fish special and my husband had the crab rice special. They were both DELICIOUS. It was perfectly spiced and more than we could finish. We took more than half home. When we come back to Cincy, which we plan to come back more often, this will be one of our stops. Great dining experience. Thank you.

I was so happy to discover this place, as decent fresh Thai places are hard to come by around Mariemont. The place was really cute and clean, and all the veggies and noodles were done perfectly, with a light touch, with care. My friend and I shared a few pieces of sushi and a roll, and they were just as expected: well-seasoned sushi rice and fresh fish. Can’t go wrong with that. Check them out, and support your local businesses when you find ones you like!

Mango Tree has some of the best Thai food on the East side. My go-to is red chicken curry with brown rice. The Tom Ka soup is another favorite. You can’t beat the price either! Plan on picking up because they don’t offer delivery.

Not impressed. Very expensive for very average dishes. It honestly seems to get worse every time we go.

So, from the mixed reviews of this place, my husband and I were a little hesitant to try it. But, I put my big girl pants on and headed over here! to my surprise, the place small yet, very tastefully done, I thought to myself,“hmmm… so far so good, I like the vibe of this place.”. As I opened the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it contained all the run of the mill Thai goodies, and including black rice with Mango and coconut cream! So, my sense of skepticism was slowly going away. I also noticed the sushi menu, and yes, I knew they served sushi but, having been raised on sushi and having a grandfather in Japan that owned some sushi restaurants, I am very careful about where I get my sushi and who makes my sushi. My husband talked me into trying one of the rolls, and to my surprise the sushi rice was really, really good cooked and seasoned perfectly! I mean if the rice is not good, then it ruins the whole sushi experience. We got one of the dragon rolls and the spicy tuna crunch, Yummy! As for the Thai food, it was… Really good!!! Came super close to the Thai food that my husband and I used to get when living in San Francisco! All in all we are so happy that we gave Mango Tree a chance! So much closer to our home, so we will be making this restaurant a regular«go-to»! Also, they have a beer and wine menu to boot!

A friend & I ate here for the first time, on a Thursday afternoon, so it was not busy. Our server was friendly and did a good enough job, although we had to ask for more water once. Neither of us like our food REAL spicy, just a little, so we were told to get #1 and did. HOWEVER, it was REALLY spicy — our sinuses got cleared out for sure! The waitress said that it’s hard to know how spicy the food will come out. ?? Anyway, I tried the complementary miso soup with my veggie stir fry with brown rice. The soup was good, although miso isn’t my favorite. The entrée stir fry was a nice size portion and a great value, and was tasty except for it being so spicy. The egg roll side was OK, nothing special. I also ordered summer rolls, and they were presented nicely and tasted fresh. We will try again and order #0 spice next time!

The super food roll is one of my favorite rolls ever! It’s too good. Cooked salmon, brown rice, sweet potato, and other goodness wrapped in soy bean paper. Yum! Tonight we also had the shrimp tempura roll and the ultimate California roll. Both were good. The ultimate California was a bit too spicy for me though. We had the chicken satay as an appetizer. Good, but not great. The chicken was a little crispy and could have used more flavor. Also, our server Po is just way too cute and lovely.

I’m not sure where the reviewers of this restaurant have ever had sushi, but this is some of the most awful sushi I have ever consumed, and that includes things that I have bought out of a cooler at the grocery store. The fish is old-tasting and very low quality. The ginger is not fresh. The egg-drop soup has frozen peas and carrots in it, and the eggs in it are rubbery. The BEST part of the meal is some good, spicy wasabi. OH! And the worst part-you’ll pay extremely high prices for what should be in a grocer’s cooler for $ 5.99. I’ve paid less for sushi that was caught yesterday, prepared by sushi chefs that rotate out of Japan every 6 months. Stick to something, ANYTHING, other than sushi Mango Tree.

Excellent hole in the wall kind of place. Rolls are tasty, fresh and large. You can call in to-go orders too. They don’t do ½ price sushi but its totally worth the money. The chicken satay is awesome, all of the rolls are great, anything spicy is SPICY! :-)

Some of the best sushi I have found in Cincinnati. You get what you pay for — the portions are perfect. The cuts of fish(for sashimi, nigiri, and rolls) are big, tender, and juicy. The sushi we ordered was fresh and delicious. They know how do it right — you simply cannot find sushi like this at one of the dozen half-price(half as good) restaurants in this area. The mango curry was amazing as well(can’t speak for any of the other Thai food). The service was great — the owner super friendly and stopped by our table on multiple occasions. The place is small, and from what I hear they do a lot of carry-out. You can’t go wrong either way! From now on, this will be my go-to for Thai/Sushi. P. S. No matter how full you are, you have to try their mango sticky rice for dessert(if you like coconut). So so so tasty.

The décor was much better than the food. I have a feeling that it will take me a few visits before they trust that I will not send the food back for being too spicy or whatever. The pad ki Mao wasn’t bad it just wasn’t great either. Tofu was not the best choice here. I will absolutely give it another show and think that the ranking must go up.
