Great little shop. Coffee is excellent and the guys are great. Wish it was a little closer to my path to work. One of the best in Cincy IMHO.

The phrases«hole in the wall» & «ma and PA shop» fit PERFRCTLY for this fun little coffee shop. They offer a great selection of drinks, as well as baked goods and sandwiches. They also have salads, quiche, oatmeal, and other coffee shop things. My GPS kept trying to take me to the Starbucks that shares the parking lot, but I was bound and determined. My almond milk latte was pretty tasty. I had both gluten free options, mostly because they’re tiny, and they were both good. The muffin was MUCH better, but the cinnamon bread wasn’t bad. There are plenty of seats and free Wi-Fi. The décor is pretty unique.

I love finding these great, newly discovered places that are close to my home! I was off on a weekday, and when that luxury arises I always love to troll for a new coffee spot. Although there are plenty of undiscovered coffee joints(for me), I decided to go with this place, which was only 5 minutes from my house in Mt Lookout. The minute I walked in there were some locals talking to the workers and a few people with their laptops doing work. I knew this place wouldn’t be pretentious and, as I did some research, I knew that this was a local and established spot. I ordered a medium cappuccino and was very delighted with my drink. I could taste the coffee, which was delicious, and they didn’t overcompensate the coffee with more milk like some places do when you order a medium. They also had an array of breakfast items, such as made-to-order breakfast sandwiches and homemade quiches. Wow. I got the spinach and goat cheese quiche, and YUM! The quiche part isn’t so hard to nail… Great ingredients, eggs, milk… But the crust was so flaky and delicious that I needed the recipe immediately! For a medium cappuccino and a delicious quiche, I only spent $ 8. This place is not overpriced and was a great find. My only problem is that it is 5 minutes from me in the opposite direction of my work! The other best thing is that they open at 5:30am Mon-Sat and 7am on Sunday. This is basically unheard of and for those of us who go into work early, which is a godsend. Come to Luckman’s for locally roasted coffee, a laid back atmosphere, and a great way to start your day!

Coffee is excellent. I’m a purist, so I like a simple dark roast — black. Staff is excellent and very nice. I ordered a quiche, which I loved. I will probably not come back as I came here at 1030 on a Monday, and the place is like a daycare. I guess there was some sort of playdate at the coffee shop. There are toys and toddlers scattered across the floor, right in the path of restroom and none of the parents seem all that bothered about moving their kids out of the way. There was an elderly lady who decided to forego the restroom and just left with her half filled coffee sitting on the table instead of trying to navigate getting through the toddler zone. I realize that is the attitude of the parents but maybe Luckman could move the ‘toy dept’ towards the back so that we don’t risk stepping on small fingers and toes. Again loved, loved the coffee… and the staff… and the treats… Still 4 stars.

We drive all the way for a coffee and something to eat… Just to discover new coffee shops. Unfortunately their web page says they close at 6:30pm monday-saturday and we got there on Wednesday at 5:20pm and they close at 5:30pm. I had a Mexican Mocka wich is a Mocka with cinnamon and cayenne pepper, was good and also we get a chai latte wich was a little spicy.

OMG I went here this morning for coffee. Like I totally would’ve overslept, because I set my alarm for PM instead of AM. Luckily, they’re rebuilding my street and I woke up. I never even have to go to work anymore because I work at home. Sorry for bragging. Like I got up late, but not too late. I didn’t really have time to stop for coffee, but I had a meeting at 9 and so I was like whatever and I stopped. So then I was barely late for work, but the meeting ended up being cancelled. Like I got on the phone and the one other person never showed up. I mean, one person DID show up, but not the person we were going to talk to. That’s fine with me. I have my name on this project, but I hardly even answer questions about it. I’m still putting it on my performance plan, though. Like I don’t even care. Now, I’m not big on drinking coffee. It kind of sends me through the roof and then I can’t even be quiet. Sometimes I like it, though. And when it’s a coffee day, like today is, I like to have this coffee from Luckman’s. It’s good and that’s why I like it. There’s one coffee place I like better, but it’s in Price Hill and like I’m not even going to drive there to get coffee. That’s ridiculous. I used to go there because it was right on my way to work. It turned out to be really good, which was fortunate because I drank about 4 shots of espresso for breakfast every morning. Luckman’s is probably just as good, though. Like I would’ve said it’s second or third best in the city, but now I might say it’s tied for first place. It’s hard for me to tell. It’s really good coffee, though. I would totally go here if you’re going to drive by. If you like coffee, you might even make a special trip. Like this coffee is really good and doesn’t leave you with a bad jittery feeling. Like I’m totally going nuts with energy, but not in a bad way. I’d probably be getting tons of work done right now if I weren’t writing this review. I have another meeting from 1:30 until 4:30, though, and it’s going to be exhausting, so I don’t even care. I need to clear my mind and they took all the games off our computers. As if. But they also have tea here, if you don’t even like coffee. I would normally get tea. Not today, though. My only issue with this place, and it’s a MAJOR issue, is that I don’t know if Yetta can come in. I think she isn’t allowed. I know Yetta would like to sit on the comfortable chairs, but she would totally stay on the floor if I told her to. Yetta likes to go into shops and has the best manners. Like I also have decent manners, but not as nice as hers. You wouldn’t even believe it. She actually used to go to every bar with me, but I never go to bars anymore due to alcoholism. A few months ago, and I can’t even believe it’s been that long, we walked past a bar, on our way to get ice-cream. She tried to pull my arm off to go inside the bar because the door was open and the bar smell was coming out to the sidewalk. A lady was also stumbling out and stopped to pet Yetta, but that doesn’t have anything to do with this. And don’t worry that Yetta is an alcoholic! She only drinks water. She likes going into bars because people pet her. And once there was a bartender who always gave her meat, before I was permanently banned from that place. Like drunk people are extra outgoing and you should’ve seen the way they’d even sit on the bar floor to be near Yetta. Except the mean drunks, but even some of them. Well, like any of it even matters to me anymore. I just think that Yetta would like going to a coffee shop. Okay, well, I know she would because there are some that she’s been to and she liked it every time. Well, maybe you can’t even understand why a water drinker would want to go to a coffee shop! Yetta will never drink coffee, or even tea, but there are other things at Luckman’s that Yetta would like. For example, I know for a fact that she likes muffins. Yetta also probably likes quiche. I don’t know for sure, as I’ve never given her quiche. Like quiche is a food I’ll never eat. I’m fairly certain Yetta would LOVE it, though. I might even get her a quiche next time we go here. We’ll probably have to sit outside and I think that sucks, but it’s what we expect in this dump town.

Great coffee, good pastries to go with; smallish place, so seating can be tight. The guys are friendly, the menu is diverse, and the place itself is fun and comfortable. All in all a great, locally owned coffee house.

Came to Luckman Coffee to meet up with a friend. If it weren’t for my friend living so far away, I probably would never have stepped foot into this little coffee shop. Immediately upon entry, you can tell that this is a place for regular’s in the area. The décor is sparse, but what décor there is, it’s all about coffee. Old espresso presses and other little trinkets. They sell local Grateful Grahams and single-serving quiches, but I gotta say, their coffee is really great! And like I’ve mentioned in all my other reviews of coffee shops, I suck at coffee, but I actually really enjoyed it here! I ordered an espresso con panna and it was so well done, I, for once, didn’t gag from drinking it! Well done! The one thing I wish they had were homemade biscotti, as it would have made the perfect pairing. They do have packaged biscotti, but they didn’t look very appetizing. Too bad!

Owner Steve Luckman moved back to the coast and handed over the Beechmont business to these guys and they are amazing! The _BEST_Mocha Breve in all of Cincinnati. Free WiFi and it’s relatively quite for those who work remotely on occasion. They use *real* chocolate chips and melt them into the mocha.

Delicious coffee drinks with a nice local feel. I also love the breakfast sandwich. The line tends to move a little slow on the weekends so know that you may have a little wait.

I was hoping to really love this place so I could stop giving Starbucks money but I feel it fell short. I got and iced mocha and really just thought that it was a bit too sweet. Also I never even knew it was a coffee place, the sign makes it look like a law firm or something. I don’t know, I’m not in love but it also wasn’t terrible. Meh. Meh is the best word to describe it I feel.

Great place and EXCELLENT coffee. I just hosted a free coffee hand out here for daylight savings for my communities, Sutton Place and Copper Hill. Zack and all the staff were more that accommodating to help. All the customers that came in while I was there were all greeted by name and left with a big smile knowing they had the right fuel to start their day. Another great reason to shop local.

Hands down the best coffee in Cincinnati. The Peg Leg brew is the absolute best, but anything you get will be fantastic. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and there have been multiple occasions when I got in line at the drive thru(at the 8 mile location) when Steve, the owner, has come out to my car and taken my order. I was only the second car in line. I’m moving to Columbus, and I will definitely miss my Luckman coffee.

The service has good. The coffee is great and the specialty drinks are my reason for going there. The place is comfortable for sitting and relaxing with a friend or doing work. The food is good and I love the bagels. :)

Voted Cincinnati’s Best Coffee by Cincinnati Magazine for a reason. A much better coffee, espresso, service and atmosphere than any national brand. Friends don’t let friends drink the Starbucks next door. They tend to hurt people’s feelings over there. This place is doing great business.

I had a meeting in the area and we were trying to pick a place. «How about the Starbucks on Beechmont,» he said. «Ummmmm,» I said. I try so hard not to have meetings at Starbucks, since I’m actively pushing supporting local businesses and going out and trying something new. And so, I pulled up Unilocal, typed in Coffee Shop on Beechmont. «How about Luckman?» Luckman it was! This coffee shop is in the middle of a shopping plaza on Beechmont. You’d drive right by it if you didn’t know it was there. Luckily, people do, as there were three or four people at tables working by themselves when I stopped in. This is a little coffee shop with basically everything you’d want from a little coffee shop. Free WIFI, a few tables to sit at, crazy watercolor murals of Columbian coffee fields painted on the walls … ok, maybe you didn’t want that, but I liked it anyway. I went up to the counter. There was one guy working there and he greeted me in that off-hand bored kind of way that only baristas seem to master. «I’m kind of hungry. What do you recommend for a sandwich,» I said. «The melted ham and cheese Panini,» he said. «I’ll take it.» So I went to my meeting and started chatting when the worker guy comes over a bit later. «Um, actually we’re all out of ham,» he said. Ha, what? Ok, I’ll take a BLT then. So he goes back to make it and when he comes with my sandwich, it’s on a tiny plastic plate. The plate is in fact so small that he has stacked the two halves of the sandwich on top of each other. He drops it on the table with a bag of chips and walks away. Very strange. The food was fine. Nothing to write home about but not terrible either. And so, the three stars, for a place that would normally have gotten four. I hear the coffee is amazing and Cincy Magazine voted it best coffee in the city last year, but I didn’t get any. Maybe if I come back, I’ll grab a cup … not sure if I’ll get another sandwich though.

My sister introduced me to Luckman Coffee during my recent visit from Austin, TX. Prior to our arrival at Luckman, she provided terrific reviews of both their drinks and their staff. I was not disappointed. I ordered an Americano AND a sugar-free vanilla Italian soda and both had the perfect amount of flavor. I enjoyed my drinks so much, I insisted on returning everyday during my visit to Cincinnati. I didn’t really have to insist since my sister fully intended on going anyway but I did feel like a great start to a great day with my sister would be totally enhanced by drinks from Luckman. I also enjoyed watching my 2 and a half year old nephew select his cookie of the day, or enjoy his Luckman meal of oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins or yogurt cup with strawberries. From now on, Luckman will be a regular stop when I travel to Cincinnati.
