Amazing market!!! I waked in and saw all the beautiful sweetbreads in the bakery case. They were 85 cents each for big rolls of soft bread, some with a custard filling, others with a light sugary coating. There was big variety and all very fresh. I also bought some chorizo and al pastor to cook up this weekend. The marinated meats all looked tempting. I will def have to come back to stock up!

This place is legit. Been here more than a few times and whenever I’m in the area you better know I’m picking up some asada tacos, a quesadilla, a torta… And of course on the way out I’m grabbing some elote. That’s right, elote.(Not sure what that is, don’t fret, it’s corn, mayo, cheese, chile and a little butter. It’s so bad it’s good.) By the time I leave, I squeeze through the door and I’m carrying a million bags full of delicious Mexican fare. Side note: This place has a whole section of Traditional Mexican baked goods that are made fresh daily. Walk over by the bakery showcase and get a nose full of fresh baked goodness.

HOLYCOW! This place is awesome. As someone who loves grocery shopping, I am always interested in markets and seeing all that is offered. The fresh veg section was well stocked and had really good prices(50 cents for a bunch of cilantro and 50 cents for a bag of carrots) I also bought some of the highly recommended Mexican Chorizo(turns out all chorizo is not the same!) Everything was super fresh and DELISH! I made the chorizo for breakfast this morning. Not only does my house still smell amazing, but it was the best breakfast I have ever made! It is true that not many workers(or customers for that matter) speak English, but if you know how to communicate, you will get out of there with what you need. I saw the sweet breads, but that will have to wait for a cheat day from my diet :) I can’t wait to frequent this place more often!

My husband and I have been on the search for authentic Mexican food in Cincinnati for many years now. Fortunately our search ended when a friend recommended we check out this Mexican grocery store. The first sign of authenticity for me was the fact that the employees seem to know very little English. We now make regular trips to stock up on their meats and sweet bread. Their mexican chorizo is honestly the best I’ve had in Cincinnati — with the right flavor and not swimming in grease when fried. Their al pastor is seasoned perfectly and has the right mixture of pork, pineapple and onions. And their sweet breads are often baked fresh that day. Check this place out — you won’t be disappointed!

just so you know, the map is incorrect as of this writing, but the address is correct. This is a small market tucked into a small shopping center, but you will find inside one of the best collections of south american imports under one roof. The real star is the deli, home to the most authentic cuts of meat I’ve found in the city, take a crack at the chorizo, al pastor, carnitas and chicharron, all awesome, and pair nicely with the tortillas you can find here, seriously, try the blue corn. It’s muy bueno!
