I called to order something, the person on the phone almost shouted at me and cut the call on my face. Such a pathetic place this is. I will never ever visit this place again in my life. Horrible and arrogant customer service

The food is mediocre but what really made me stop eating here ever are the rude people that stands behind the counter. I never had the experience of a delivery person yelled at me at the phone(since he could not find the place where I had the food delivered) and had a rant when I paid using my cc instead of cash. When i ordered they didn’t ask me if I will pay cash or card so I assumed they accept both. When he arrived and didn’t bring the tool for paying with a cc, he acted as if it was the customer’s fault. I’ll never be back in this place as long as I live. Better go to Delhi Palace, the food is way better and the staff is very friendly.

I had a rare Indian food craving while on a business trip and decided to take out from Krishna’s… and well, this falls on my list of Indian food to absolutely avoid. I called in and the man taking my order hung up on me the first time half way in. My stomach was eating itself and I didn’t consider a backup so I decided to give it another try. — I ordered paneer pakoras but they gave me chicken pakoras instead. While it sounds gross on its own, I tried one anyway and almost vom’ed. — Dal Makhni was mostly butter and less lentils. — Chicken Vindaloo was so watery and not even close to the spice level I ordered. Disappointing experience overall. I see there are many other Indian food options in the area so if I ever do get another craving on the next trip, I’ll clearly be trying something else instead.

I have been here quite a few times, and the food has always been delicious! It’s the only indian restaurant I’ve been to so far where I don’t get sick afterwards! I always want to try something new when I go. The actual dining area is very very small, so its hard to go with a large party… If you do, you’ll most likely sit at two different tables. If given the chance, they should definitely expand. You’re expected to serve yourself water which, although threw me off when I first went(I thought it was very rude and unprofessional), isn’t that bad. You don’t have to bother the workers, or wait for them to come over, or constantly have the feeling of being interrupted. Their one big flaw is that the workers are very intimidating and slightly rude to newcomers. If you’re a regular, they’ll eventually warm up to you(haven’t reached that point yet). Otherwise, they basically give you attitude and talk to you like you’re the last person they want to see(bit I’m giving you money!?). Makes it very hard to want to go back. I’ve only been treated kindly by whoever is handing me my food, b/c they always want to make sure I don’t spill it on myself.

Love this place! Parking can be a pain because of the busy area but it’s well worth it. I stopped by for lunch and they where pretty busy. The man who took my order was very nice. I ordered 3 different lunch specials all with different spice levels. I also forgot to order something and had to order it a few minutes after everything else. He made sure to let the cooks know so they made sure to put it in my bag. Everyone was very pleasant. The food was delicious and perfectly spiced. It came to just under $ 30. Will definitely be coming back!

Food is OK but one of the old guy who looks like the owner is very rude. We bought samosas and had paid for it. As we left, he runs outside the restaurant and shouts at us saying that we din pay. Later when we go back, his people inform him that we have paid. Doesn’t even come back to apologize for his disgusting behavior. Will never go back because of the way he has treated us. Later I found, he has treated few other friends of mine like we are getting stuff for free. Terrible experience. Have been in cincy for 3 years.

Krishna may be a hole-in-the-wall with staff that’s kind of rude, but it’s still the best Indian food in the area. It’s reasonably priced, but the portions have gotten smaller than before. However, after many years, it’s still a favorite amongst many University of Cincinnati students.

Finally got to try Krishna for carry out lunch. I generally trek over to Deep India for Indian but I was really hungry and craving Indian and didn’t feel like waiting an hour for Deep India. Krishna is reasonably fast(I waited ten minutes for mine), and well-priced for college students. The folks there really keep the line moving, and there are a couple of tables inside to sit and wait. I got the goat curry because I saw the reviews about the chicken and asked for spice level 3. I’ll probably kick it up a couple of notches next time because it wasn’t as spicy as I expected it to be. There was a LOT of food, with rice, naan and all. I do have to agree though, the goat doesn’t fall apart or melt in your mouth like it does with Deep India. tl;dr Relatively fast indian food but not to the quality of Deep India. Go here if you want value and pretty decent grub.

The naan is free during lunch time. The Chicken Tikka Masala is the only thing I’ve tried here so far. For $ 10 plus a tip they give you a good amount of food compared to other places.

If you are hungry and on a budget, I can see how this place would fit your needs. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, roti and salty lassi. The chicken tikka masala was ok. I appreciated that the food was piping hot, but the chicken was dry and rubbery and the flavor was not to my liking(I felt too much cilantro was added). The quality of the roti was also lacking and the consistency of the lassi was off. The lassi mixture was not homogenous and it seemed that they mostly used the whey of the yogurt. It was extremely sour, diluted and chunky. I couldn’t take more than two sips and would not purchase this again.

So delicious. So, so delicious, but if you’re doing so well, Krishna, would you please put some money back into your restaurant’s environment, so that I don’t feel like I’m eating in a third world country? Thank you. With that said, their chicken tika masala and garlic naan are the truth.

Krishna is convienent for a college campus. Easy to go food and the quality is great. I just don’t prefer the styrofoam that each meal is served in. I realize that’s their choice and its a small operation. I don’t have to eat there. I still occasionally come in though because there’s something authentic about the taste that other indian places in Cincinnati don’t have. Their heat is a little spicy if you’re not into that. So a 1 is usually about a 3 in most restaurants. But that’s okay!

I have never had any problems here(except with the samosa chole and navratan korma which are not good to taste). Good comfort food to eat once in a while. They use a new pan for every dish(plus point) and you basically have the same gravy dish Indian menu as any«punjabi» place. One time I went to order and the large man behind the counter was really angry and asked me thrice why I was there. I was stumped but I told him I wanted to order food, is that OK? Bit ridiculous but anyway. Sometimes they do not have delivery based on van driver availability. Minimum 20 – 25 $ order for delivery. They sometimes stare a lot so try to call ahead for your take-out.

Krishna carry out is my version of comfort food– definitely my favorite Indian restaurants in the area. Coming from an Indian background, I had Indian food 3 – 4 times a week growing up, and grew to become fairly critical of any Indian food other than my mother’s. Most«fast» Indian food(compared to sit-down restaurants) tend to have the same underlying spice flavors with a mix of different ingredients. However, each of Krishna’s menu items has a distinct, authentic taste, comparable to my own my mother’s cooking. It’s delicious and feels like home. If you’re new to Indian food, I’d recommend getting familiar with some terms. Makhni’s are cream-based sauces, masala’s are tomato-based sauces, and saag is a spinach-based sauce. A fair amount of menu items are a variation of one of these 3 sauces. I’ve tried atleast 10 different menu items, ranging from chicken makhni to a saag choley, and have enjoyed them all equally. In terms of spice level, you can choose a level between 1 – 10. The nice thing about Krishna is that even if you order an item on the lower end of the spice spectrum, you don’t have to worry about losing any flavor. In fact, though I can handle a fair amount of spice, I often go for the 2 or 3 because the flavor’s great to start. All meals come with a large helping of rice– plenty to pair with your meal. I definitely recommend getting a naan(bread) along with your meal to dip in the sauce. If you order lunch, naan comes with your meal! It’s primarily a to-go place so they haven’t spent much on the interior. If you chose to dine in, there are a few table and benches within Krishna. The service is always quick, but I recommend calling in ahead of time as they do get busy. Try this place if you’re around! But I must warn you… Schedule in time for a nap after a Krishna because it tends to cause food comas.

Krishna! This place rocks, especially with their stellar lunch deals. You can dine in, but expect seating to fill up quickly. There are only a few spaces to sit anyway. Food arrives quickly and steaming hot! It’s always too much for me to eat in one sitting, so I consider buying Krishna a 2-meal investment. I love the curry here and generally order that with naan. My #1 pick whenever I eat Indian food is saag paneer. It’s pretty good at Krishna — everyone has their own taste preferences, but I actually enjoy the saag paneer down the street more than here(cough*Deep India* cough). Great place around campus for your Indian fix. As always, don’t wear anything you don’t mind strong food smells to seep into ;)

Easily my favorite indian restaurant in the city. Krishna doesn’t have the best location, nor service or dining but that’s totally all part of the experience. I think for me it’s the nostalgia of college, but I Krishna and have tried others but this little dicey gem will always reign supreme for me. The menu is simple, the workers keep ordering simple, simply by some limited English but it’s all good. I’ve personally had any issues. I always dine in which can be hit or miss, like others have mentioned they only have 3 booths. When you dine in there are pitchers of water in the fridge and a carousel of sauces to help yourself. During lunch hours they do give free Nan which is my favorite and saves $ 2 – 3, and with their portions are easily two meals and at $ 7 – 9 a dish this is a steal. My favorites are the vegetable jalfrezi, or sag paneer. Spicy level is 1 – 6 and I go for 4 – 5 which definitely has a spicy kick but isn’t unenjoyable if you know what I mean. I love this place, and will always love this place. The fact that clifton has torn down and put up so many franchises triple the size of this place and it’s still surviving is all the proof you need.

This is my favorite Indian spot. Tiki Masala or curry with vegetables are delectable. Careful with the heat, they can light you up. Be sure to try their Naan bread as well. Yum!

This place is authentic. The menu is vast with many offerings and breads. The place is small and hard to sometimes find seating. Prices are not bad. I always get the tikka masala with chicken. Its hot fresh and delicious. Water in pitchers are provided which is nice. Large portions too. Sharable for sure.
