There’s something fishy about this place… Mostly that more people don’t know about it! This is one of the stores on the outskirts of Findlay Market(so not a stand in the market but a store next to it.) First of all, it smells like fish, which is a good thing! Fresh fish reminds me of growing up in New Englad and to walk in here and get taken back to those memories means they are doing something right. They have all kinds of fish in both glass cases in front of you(fresh) and in freezers behind you(frozen). Everytime I’ve needed something, they have it. Even if you’re looking for something strange, it’s worth it to check in here. It’s a little store and when there is a run on fish, it can get crowded as heck, but wait your turn and they’ll be with you soon enough. And then, my friends, it’s time for fish.

I’ve been to Findlay mostly in the cooler months, so today was my first time to wander through the outdoor booths. When I did, I noticed a couple of stores that are permanent fixtures that I hadn’t seen before. One such place is this fish and poultry market. They sell many varieties of fresh seafood: tilapia, salmon, catfish, etc. and also Amish chicken breasts, party wings, even chicken feet! There is a frozen case with plenty more, including frozen chicken, potatoes and fish. We bought a bag of frozen shrimp today. On the meat counters are various seasonings, marinades, etc. for your fish or poultry purchase. As many of the Findlay Market shops, this business has been handed down through the generations. The employees were helpful and friendly.
