I am lactose intolerant, and have been looking for a long time to find a bakery to satisfy my sweet tooth. Happy Chicks has wonderful pastries! Also wonderful lunch options! I recently got a graduation cake there, it was delicious!

I’m slowly exploring Northside and all the vegan spots it has to offer. Today, I satisfied a cupcake craving with Happy Chicks Bakery. They had a surprisingly large shop; more like a small restaurant than just a bakery. I was pleasantly surprised! Their décor is my style. Lots of plants and bright, mix-matched furniture. There’s a big window that lets in natural light and gives you a good street view. I walked past the lunch menu(yes, they do offer lunch) and went straight to the cupcakes on display. I decided upon the lemon rose cupcake, and green tea to drink. The cupcake itself was delicate and perfectly warm. The only complaint I have is how expensive my tiny cupcake was. I think it was $ 3.50…which for the size seems pricey. But it’s a local business, so I say support them. Good service, good décor, and great cupcakes. Happy Chicks is a must-try for vegans and cupcake lovers alike in Cincinnati! And I’ll be back to try their lunch menu.

While visiting my daughter who has a dairy allergy she took us to this bakery knowing I have a sweet tooth. The cupcakes were awesome! I enjoyed the Mojito and Black Velvet! Wish we lived closer so I could visit all the time! The staff was VERY pleasant and accommodating by writing the flavors of the cupcakes on the box. Thank you for convincing me that vegan baked goods ARE delicious!

Great little stop on our day in Northside. I had a tea and a donut. It was misleading to call it a «donut» because it was more like a fried croissant. Unexpected, but delicious. For being high quality, it was a lot less expensive than I thought.

I got a smash cake for my son’s birthday and a dozen cupcakes from this bakery. The description of the smash cake online stated that they do not decorate the smash cake other than putting a number 1 on it. Much too my surprise when I opened the cake it was decorated in our nautical theme! The cake tasted great and our son loved it! The cupcakes were light and fluffy and full of flavor! I will definitely be going back to this bakery!

Absolutely fantastic selection of a wide range of dietary needs. They have gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and within those, the variety is fantastic. Follow them on social media, too. They post special items they’re making from time to time. I’ve had the Snowball cupcake twice now. I’m hooked. It is gluten free, not overly sweet, and a great texture. Their Nut Butter and Jelly Sandwich was amazing, but a little pricey for the size. It was a gluten free biscuit, and I had almond butter and jam with figs. Absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend people checking it out!

Three cheers for yummy vegan bakeries! I love going somewhere where I know I’m going to be able to eat everything on the menu. That doesn’t happen very often, so in that respect alone I feel like Happy Chicks is a great asset to Northside. The décor is rather twee and IKEA eclectic. The storefront floods most of the space with a decent amount of lighting, and overall the bakery has a cute, though mildly forced, atmosphere. There’s a long counter facing the kitchen, though I’ve never seen anyone sit there. The menu is on a chalkboard near the register, which is where you place your order when you walk in. A small case is filled with cupcakes and other assorted vegan goodies, and metal shelves display packaged cookies(that even have ingredient labels on them). Their non-dessert menu includes croissants, quiche, empanadas, soups, salad, and various chickpea-based pancakes and nuggets. Yummy! Today I had their daily quiche offering which was full of daiya cheese and tempeh bacon, along with a small side salad. I was pretty pleased with how everything tasted, though having a dressing that wasn’t purely oil would have been nice. I ordered a ginger chai birthday cake for my father from here over the summer when I was living out of town, and had no issue coordinating anything. Rumor has it the cake was pretty good, but I cannot personally attest. I have had killer orange basil chocolate chip cookies and I’ve never disliked a cupcake from here. I’d argue their prices are pretty average, save their croissants which do seem expensive. I’ll probably be headed back for some more of their non-dessert offerings, though I know I can always depend on them for some high-quality vegan baked goods.

Wife and I tried the coffee, tea, empanadas, salad, chick nuggets, croissant, and took some cupcakes to go. Everything was very good but my wife said the croissant is a must have!!! Great store front and ambiance as well.

I went to Happy Chicks Bakery for the first time yesterday and purchased three cupcakes– chocolate stout, harvest spice, and sweet and tart. All three were delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The employee who helped me suggested the harvest spice cupcake, which wound up being my favorite of the three! I will definitely be returning to Happy Chicks Bakery!

What a cute bakery/café in the heart of Northside! I had passed it many times & decided to take a peep(pun intended)! When you walk in you’re greeted with charming décor & ambiance! There’s plenty of seating that’s different and eclectic. I decided to sit on the row of bar stools against the window. Great view of the neighborhood. I decided to get a drunken pumpkin donut and it was a great choice! I typically don’t spend $ 2.50 on one donut but YOLO, right?!? The donut was light and fluffy and honestly was more reminiscent of a croissant than a donut but it was delicious! The pumpkin flavor was in the icing and was subtle, which I appreciated as I’m not a huge pumpkin fan. The service was great. The woman waiting on me was patient as I made my selection and they even said goodbye when I left. Looks like they serve lunch items as well and it feels more like a café than a bakery. They also have free wifi! I’d definitely go back!

Great storefront view & décor. Be sure to dine in for full experience. Just like in grandmas kitchen when I was a little girl. I almost asked to lick the batter spoon. ;) Will def be back

I was rooting for this place and it failed to deliver today. The house salad was so so bland. $ 7 dollars and it’s a side salad portion with carrots and cucumber and smidge of some seed(pumpkin or something similar) The vinaigrette dressing was not balanced. Too much vinegar. The spicy tomato soup was meh. Progresso makes a much better one compared to this. I bought a OTR chocolate which had a nice flavor profile. Only drawback was it was refrigerated. She offered to warm it up and I declined. I won’t make that mistake again. I’ll give it another try but this was good at all. Soup, salad and cupcake NO drink was $ 14. Too pricey for what you get.

I am so happy Happy Chicks Bakery is in Cincinnati!!! I’ve gotten two birthday cakes before they opened their storefront and got to try all their goodies at Park+Vine as well. But now that they have lunch I wanted to say that it is delicious! My favorites are the quiches, empanadas and chick nuggets. The prices for the lunch items are very good. After I eat lunch I like to buy a cupcake. My favorite desserts are the cupcakes. Seriously. They are fresh and leave you satisfied. I plan to get my wedding cake here, too.

This place is esssspensive! I felt like I needed to really stare at the cookie I bought and nibble it to savor every crunch, every chocolate chip, every aroma it had to offer because it was an expensive tiny cookie! (But maybe that’s how you should eat every sweet treat? And you’re also supporting a «local business». –that’s what I had to tell myself to defend my purchase.) Great vegan options(although I’m not vegan), and they have very unique flavors for cupcake and cookie assortments. Definitely worth trying!

My fiancé wants a vegan wedding cake, so this morning we did a cake tasting here. I’m not vegan, and had no real desire for vegan anything, but holy cow, this place is amazing! I am so glad I went out of my usual comfort zone on this one. We tried 4 of their favors, and each one was rich, decadent, and so incredibly good. I loved the blueberry lemon and the carrot cake they have, as well as the vanilla almond and the chunky monkey. There really was no wrong choice here among flavors. The owners are super friendly, helpful, and just excited about what they do, which I loved. They had everything ready when we arrived, and were really great! So happy with this place, and can’t wait to have their treats at our wedding!

It’s so great having a vegan bakery in Cincinnati. I ordered a vegan quiche for a brunch party I was hosting and it was absolutely amazing. I’ve had a few of there desserts too which are good, but I think their savory items are really where they shine.

We stopped in to pick up a weekend’s worth of goodies, mostly cupcakes with a small tart and some empanadas thrown into the mix. The woman that helped us was super nice, and even wrote down on the box all the different types of cupcakes we had picked out so we would know what we were eating later. Everything we tried was good, with the ginger chai being my favorite. Pretty pricy for vegan cupcakes.

Very excited that there is a vegan bakery in Cincinnati. This is great! I’m very supportive of Happy Chicks and hope that they have a long and successful history! I’ve been a few times and have had two different kinds of brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. (I do have to say I feel the recipes or stock needs a little attention — they often taste a little old and dry, and in some cases, very hard. Sometimes the flavors(like lemon) are very over-pronounced, too.)
