Hancock Fabrics is, not surprisingly, a fabric store, but it is also a small craft store. Besides fabric and sewing products, they also have a small yarn section, a home goods area that sells mostly seasonal decorations, and a rug section. I don’t go to this store a lot because the section that would interest me most is the yarn section, and it doesn’t have the variety as someplace like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I’m not huge into sewing, but the few times I’ve bought fabric or patterns I’ve been able to get good prices on them because of sales and promotions they’ve been running. Most recently I was able to take advantage of a sale they were running to get rid of their left over seasonal christmas stuff. I picked up ten packs of lighted branches(that don’t look christmasy at all) for decorations at my wedding. Overall, this store has the basics. There’s a standard selection of different types of fabrics, buttons, thread, zippers, and patterns, as well as some crafts and homegoods. It’s just not that exciting.
