One of best dim sum in Cincinnati. We always come on Sunday, service is fast and good. The owner is really nice to our kids. You can’t go wrong here.

Grand Oriental is now the favorite for my wife and I for oriental food in the Cincinnati area. We went on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. Between us we had hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, orange shrimp, and sweet and sour chicken. It was all very delicious. The food and sauces were prepared to perfection. After one visit, I am not ready to say this was on par with my favorite oriental restaurant(House of Hunan in Akron) but it is well worth many more visits.

I was looking frwd to trying this place out because the pictures looked pretty good and reviews was mixed with some good/some ok. I would say the food is ok. I’ve had better dim sum at other cincy restaurants. The siu man and shrimp dumplings were just ok. It didn’t taste fresh at all.

To be honest this is a decent place for dim sum — not the best if you had dim sum before either in other places in Cincy or out of state. I will continue my search for good food!

I know I probably can’t expect that much of dim sum in Cincinnati, but this place just wasn’t very good. That being said, I am Chinese, and from California. First of all, I have never experienced dim sum in English– made it hard to figure out what they had. The cart service wasn’t great– they were soft spoken, didn’t approach the table that much, but did bring stuff when we asked for it. Most of the dishes were«medium» sized, which is not typical. They had most of my favorite dishes; sui mai, shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, bbq pork buns. I liked the pineapple buns but they were filled with egg custard. Fried red bean sesame balls were okay, and egg custard tarts were okay as well. The soup dumplings had no soup– so disappointing. they must have over-steamed them. A server told me they have a changing table in the bathroom– but they actually didn’t. Anyway I’m glad they have dim sum, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

One of the best Chinese places around, the food is true quality and is delicious every time I come. I’m personally a fan of the general tso’s chicken, which might not be the most original dish choice, but is nonetheless very well battered and the sauce is really well balanced, whereas typically I find it way too sweet and not spicy as advertised. I’ve also had their Mongolian beef which is another home run. Perhaps the biggest draw to this restaurant is their offering of Dim Sum. So far I’ve only had the steamed dumplings(like potstickers but steamed instead of fried) and steamed BBQ pork buns which were incredible, never had enough better. I only give 4 stars because it’s nearly impossible for a restaurant to be 100% perfect.

Good dim sum, if a tad expensive. Popular among both Chinese and non-Chinese people. Manager is Chinese and speaks both English and Chinese, but wait staff speaks only English. They push the carts on Sunday but you can order specific items as well(some of them aren’t served from the carts). Overall I’m glad I discovered this place on a visit to Kings Island, will recommend it to others as well.

Very good. We had the pot stickers, egg roll, wonton soup and chicken fried rice. $ 40 Service was great. The place was very clean. There were people in there from Dayton and Lexington for the Dim Sum that looked great. Overall, very good food, very good service, but a tad pricey for what we had.

Came on a Saturday for dim sum. It was very good. Some reviews said it was pricey, but I felt that the price was fair.

Ok. I decided to come here because of the reviews and boy were they accurate. Actually a little humble in my opinion because they should get 5 stars. I sat down and ordered the twice cooked pork and fried rice. Waitress took excellent care of me and kept my rice bowl full as so as the water which never went below half a cup. After I ate they kept bringing complimentary extremely delicious desserts. Not sure if they do that with everyone but it made me feel like a friend. The owner talks to you and explains everything. He seems very enthusiastic about keeping customers happy. And the food is to die for. Crisp fresh veggies and excellent taste. Best pot stickers I ever had. I recommend this oriental gem in Cincinnati. Don’t miss it.

The dim sum is legit. If you go here on Sunday for brunch, you only need to order off the carts. Try something new. I’m appalled by all of the folks around us who ordered American Chinese food when there is actual Chinese food in abundance here. Everything is delicious. Try it all. And the service was awesome, too. We’ll be back.

This is by far the fastest meal I’ve had! Everyone is complaining about the prices, but the Dim Sum is of great quality!(We had plenty of food, 8 dim sum dishes, for 2 people for $ 36) The chef and owner and managers walk around making sure everyone is okay with the food! That’s a sign of pride if you ask me! I’m not savvy with Dim Sum menus/the chinese language. It was great to go during cart service(Sat and Sun 10am-2:30) and have the cart girls show you everything before they put it on your table and add it to your bill. I was so happy with all of our selections, but sadly I couldn’t tell you the name of most of them. By the way it was the fastest meal I have ever had. We walked in and immediately got food, it was probably 20 minutes from our first bite to paying the bill since we inhaled our food. I loved it. My favorites were the rolled bean curd in beef gravy, BBQ pork buns, crystal shrimp dumplings, and fried shrimp balls. My least favorites were the shrimp and chive and the soup dumpling. My only complaint is that all of the food is not steaming hot. And if you order all your dishes at once, the ones that were once hot get cold/lukewarm.

This is one of our favorite places in town. We’ve been regular guests for Saturday and Sunday Dim Sum for 25 years. Dim Sum is served on the weekends from 10AM until 2:00PM. Our favorite Dim Sum dishes are shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings(shumai), shrimp balls, sticky rice, spring rolls, pork porridge, sesame balls and coconut pudding. Kenny, Henry and Sunny do a fantastic job!

Came here for my brother’s wedding reception. The space was… tight. We had a small reception of about 100. Guests were split into two big rooms. We didn’t have the restaurant to ourselves(there were a few tables near the back still eating dim sum). The food was mediocre. Portions were for ten per table, but it definitely wasn’t enough food. Had about eight courses ranging from fried rice to sweet and sour pork. The owner wasn’t the friendliest. We had to move a lot of our own tables and he also didn’t accommodate when we said we needed another table. Only note-worthy thing about this place was the interior. Very ornate and traditional wood carvings. I’m now sitting here. waiting to pay the bill. Apparently the owner is out delivering take out. He rushed us to finished so we could leave so since he has a business to run… Do not come here for a wedding reception. Ever. Oy.

We have been there twice for dim sum. Very yummy and fresh! Much better than uncle yip’s dim sum. The only issue is the price… more expensive. On average, expect to pay $ 50 for two people with tips and taxes already included. Will definitely come back though. Great service! Not too many options for vegans. Also, they need to carry Tabasco sauce!

Went with a group for dim sum. It was very crowded with a mix of families and small groups. The service was fantastic– we were introduced to the owners– and then pampered for the rest of our visit! Had a huge range of dumplings, buns, cakes and treats. Everything was delicious especially the duck. It is very tricky to locate off the street– just be on the look out as you approach the address. Mike’s car Wash is blocking their store front– so just go behind.

Catered in a nice assembly of morsels for lunch in celebration of Chinese New Year(Sheep/Goat). Everything was delicious and the temperature was warm to hot! We have a fair amount of vegetarians on staff and regret to say the egg rolls had pork in them. We still had rice, noodles and even fortune cookies for them to enjoy. Hopefully Grand Oriental can make them just as delicious without the pork next time. I wonder if we could get chopsticks next time, also! :)

I stopped in to have Dim Sum, which I had not had in several years. As soon as I walked in, the service was impeccable. Every part of the staff was on it and attentive. The food is amazing. Dumpling after dumpling was great and reminded me of Chinatown. Sticky rice was very good too. I definitely will be coming back.
