Cookie dough chocolate chip means perfection here! I cannot believe that after coming almost every summer to Cincinnati since 2009, this year was my first visit to Graeter’s. The single dish portion is quite satisfying and it costs under $ 5. Great location at Fountain Square.

Driving through Cincinnati I looked up what’s good or most popular. A lot of places said Greater’s was the place to go. After having what one review said to have(banana foster/toffee on waffle cone) I have to agree it was extremely tasty and slightly messy. As I type this my fingers are sticky. My fiancé had the mango gelato and Carmel truffle. The Carmel truffle was really good too but the mango gelato not so much. Decently priced and well worth going into. By the way this place is located in the fountain square area so park close to it.

If you have people visiting from out of town, and you’re going to take them to one Graeter’s it should probably be this one! Enjoying your black raspberry chip outside on Fountain Square just makes it taste better.

Great ice cream at reasonable prices! I tried this dessert place for the first time during a business trip and I loved the ice cream there. It is located at the Fountain Square at downtown Cincinnati next to many restaurants and Macy’s department store. The dessert place has wide selection of chocolates, candies, shakes, donuts, cakes, ice cream, gelatos and sorbet. I got the two scoops in a cup ice cream and it costs $ 4.5. The ice cream tasted yummy and there are lots of flavors available. Great finishing after dinner.

If you are in Cincinnati don’t miss this. It was SO good. It goes. above and beyond regular ice cream. And the prices were not bad at all.

Ice cream is my weakness. It’s a dessert I always have room for. I meannnnnn… it just slides down so easy! When it comes to ice cream in Ohio, Graeters sets the bar high. With locations all over Cincinnati, we went to the location right at Fountain Square in downtown. They had a good number of flavors to pick from so I was faced with a hard choice. However once I saw Buckeye ice on the menu, it was a no-brainer. I was in the Buckeye state and it had to be done! Their Buckeye ice cream was creamy, not too rich chocolate with big ol’ round chunks of peanut butter to satisfy my sweet tooth. Loved it and could have eaten a gallon easily if someone had placed it in front of me. The ‘traditional’ aka small bowls ran us $ 4 each which isn’t bad at all for such quality and taste. They had some basic tables for us basic bitches to get our grub on and stare out the big windows and interesting happenings on the square. Aside from just the ice cream, this location is full of bagged candies, fun chocolates, nuts and seasonal items. I ended up buying a few boxes of chocolates with a great Cincinnati photo on them to take to friends & family as gifts.

They have an ice cream called Cheese Crown and it tastes like horchata. What more could you ask for?

We were looking for a place to grab a coffee where we could actually speak and so we popped into this shop. It was freezing cold that day so we didn’t actually get to enjoy the ice cream here, which I’ve heard is amazing. I did however get to enjoy some coffee which was good and some of their cookies which were delicious. I wish this place had been better, it seems like it’s got a lot of potential, but the service was not good and the prices were a bit high for what it was.

I’m not sure how it’s possible that I haven’t reviewed Graeters yet. I head to Cincinnati every summer to visit with family and Graeters is a MUST. I try to visit as many new places as possible each time I go, but if I had to choose between going somewhere new and going to Graeters, the choice would be simple. It always takes me a long time to order because there’s just so much to choose from. Last time I was there, I told them I was visiting from Canada and everyone started making suggestions of things I had to try. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, and the ice cream is so creamy and delicious… I just can’t stay away. Can’t wait to be back!

One of My favorite ice cream brands in the nation. Perfectly creamy! Wish they would bring the«Chocolate Coconut Almond Chip» back but my top flavors of: MCC and BRC will do. Go Graeters!

Graeters is a very popular and locally renowned ice cream in the Cincinnati area. They have lots of different flavors and all of them are very good but my favorite is the black cherry chocolate chip, which is one of the best ice creams that I’ve had.

I wrote a rather negative review of Graeter’s, and I would like to retract some of my declarations. Their chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches may be the best ice cream sandwich in the world. I do apologize for my negativity and I do love Graeter’s ice cream. It’s just the proclamations I hear in Cincinnati and Louisville about everything being the best or the biggest drive me nuts! I grew up in NYC, which often demands the best, but rarely do folks declare things the«absolutely finest in the world.» People along the Ohio River are quite insular and often have the need to smack folks in the face with why they don’t need to experience anything different because what they have is the greatest. I find this attitude so limiting and I took on their opinions of Graeter’s ice cream. That is my fault and I apologize.

Graeters Ice Cream is a popular chain of ice cream shops across Ohio and parts of the Midwest. This location in particular is right by Fountain State Park in Cincinnati and my first experience. The place is rather large and not only carries ice cream, but pastries, cakes, and other desserts as well. There was a long line when we got there, but lots of people at the parlour working, so the line went quick. They had so many different flavors that I was unsure of what to get. They divided it into sections such as chocolate chip specials, classic flavors, blends, etc. The flavors recommended on the Unilocal highlights were raspberry chocolate chip and the other, Buckeye, was something I thought I should try being in Ohio and all. The raspberry chocolate chip was good as was the buckeye, but I’m not the biggest fan of chocolate and the nice chunks of dark chocolate would make any chocolate lover melt. The ice cream was real creamy and velvety and held firm without melting too quickly. Despite the flavors not being my favorite, I really liked the ice cream and definitely wanted to go back inside and get some more. I’m disappointed I didn’t get to try the other flavors like bourbon pecan and cookies and cream. Hopefully won’t be my last visit.

Graeter’s has caught a lot of hype and media attention, which is what drew me to this place, especially when visiting from out of town. The location seems prime and the service was adequate. But I never felt the over-the-top service others commented on here nor did I feel that the milkshake was something unreal. Dare I say it, but I’ve had a better milkshake. The ice cream itself is very rich, a testament to their small batch, French pot process. The key distinction from other ice cream places is the quantity and quality of added ingredients. I went for the toffee chocolate chip ice cream– the toffee was rich and generous in portion. Similarly the milk chocolate chips weren’t the usual hard over-frozen crunch bits but soft, melt in your mouth type. That won me over. But the milkshake was a slightly overpriced, too thin mix. It seemed like they skimped on the ice cream and added far too much milk, making it rather disappointing. For a random ice cream place, I would go back, mainly for the ice cream than milkshake, but I didn’t feel it stacked up to it’s inflated reputation.

I’m just realizing that I’ve never written a review for this place! Probably because I’ve been coming here for years and it just seems like a given — like, doesn’t everyone know that when you’re in Cincinnati, Graeter’s is the place to get your ice cream? This is the closest location to my home, so this is the one I frequently go to. But I also love this location because there are benches outside and tables across the street that are perfect for the summer. Two important reasons why Graeter’s is one of the best in the country: 1. Their chocolate chips can be as big as your palm! Also, have you noticed how a lot of chocolate chips taste waxy and hard? Not these! They have a nice chew to them and a super rich flavor. 2. All of their flavors are awesome. Usually, I find a favorite flavor at each ice cream shop and I stick to that one and never try anything else because I know that it won’t satisfy me the way my favorite does. But at Graeter’s, I get a new combo every time! Basically any flavor with their ginormous chocolate chips are a win, but I also like to consider the season flavor as well!

I feel like this is a place any Cincinnati native would recommend. I’m not a HUGE ice cream fan which I know is about to turn many heads… yes I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I’d still reco this place to anyone. I’m all for trying places that have reviewers claiming it’s the best in the world. I wanted to try the raspberry chip that everyone raves about but they had run out(whaaaaat). so I settled for half hazelnut and half vanilla bean to explore the hype. It is in fact thick, creamy and fresh… but as a person who’s not the biggest ice cream supporter, all my stars are really for the friendly customer service. Allowed to sample as many flavors as wanted, gave generous servings, and were really prompt. Go for the food come back for the great service!

My Grandma is from the Buckeye state. When she is craving Buckeyes, I order them for her through Graeters. They sell Graeters ice cream in Kroger here! It’s pretty good ice cream. It’s the Blue Bell of Ohio.

The ice cream is delicious. It is creamy and thick, and melts in your mouth in a unique way that you have to discover for yourself to make sense. The counter staff was extremely helpful, and let me be my indecisive self while I got samples of a few different flavors until I found the one for me. Their famous black raspberry chocolate chip is actually FABULOUS! The mint chocolate chip wasn’t the best I’ve tasted — I prefer more mint.

I was staying in the area, at the 21C hotel and my husband had late night craving for some ice cream. Thanks to Unilocal,we found this place a short walk from the hotel. I think all of the late night partiers had the same craving. It was a good place to people watch that night. The ice cream is always excellent at Graeters. I’m glad they made their way back to Lexington, where the FroJo is the craze. They also had a seasonal selection of gourmet candy. What’s not to love about this place?
