I used to frequent this buffet regularly for a Friday lunch. The food was always fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Although the lady who seats you can come across as a bit curt, she is very efficient. The servers, though, have always been very attentive and nice. I recently had a chance to go back on a Thursday night. I have to admit– I was a little disappointed. Most of the food did not taste as fresh as I expected it to, with a lot of the saucy chickens kind of hard, instead of chewy. The old favorites were there, but none were as amazing as I remembered. There was shrimp on the buffet, but no crab. I absolutely will go again, but I think I would prefer lunch.

Every time we are in the mood for«CHEAP Chinese» we go to the Golden Dragon Buffet. We love the Hot and Sour soup. .our favorite. Good selection for the price. especially for lunch and we always use a coupon from the reach magazine. The establishment could use a bit of sprucing up… they speak very little English. but very attentive… we keep going back when the urge for Chinese hits us.

Love the black pepper chicken and the grill is a nice addition if you want a little different then most Chinese buffets. Place is great except the run down establishment a little TLC and this could be one of the best places in cincy imo.

When i feel like eating everything in the world, i go here. The atmosphere is friendly, its never really that busy, and for once the employees actually understand a decent amount of English. I never ask for much when it comes to the English but i would at least like them to properly understand me and this place does. I always start with a salad. Its nothing to write home about but its good. Then i go for the chicken and rice, wonton, and some Chinese donuts. I love this combo. Only thing i would say is the rice is kind of dry(which can be fixed with some sauce from the chicken) and the fact that the place lacks chicken variants. Unfortunately the deserts here will make your stomach hurt. The banana putting is some of the worst Ive ever had and the cookies taste kind of stale. On a positive note the ice cream is good lol

The last few times we have been, including today, just weren’t that great. The restaurant has gotten pretty run down and dirty, and the food was just not as good as it used to be. The price is cheap for lunch but I think I’d rather get takeout from Dragon City for the price and KNOW that it’s good.

I read the reviews for this place when we woke up with a craving for Chinese. It’s not too far from home and the reviews seemed more positive than negative. Let me begin by saying I’m a fat girl. I like buffets like a fat girl likes buffets!!! I really don’t expect much from Chinese buffets, plentiful and flavorful food. Not looking for excellent. I didn’t even get so-so; this place is more so-BAD. First round was mostly bare trays in the steam table, what I did sample was cool and overcooked. How does that happen at noon on Sunday? Only exception was the salmon, moist and cooked nicely. The sushi was COMPLETELYFLAVORLESS. Next time around I went with a strategy; I followed the guy resupplying fresh food around the steam table! See, I’m smart, right? No, because it was all HOT, greasy, gross, and obviously it came to the buffet overcooked. I am still sitting at the table, my stomach is feeling queasy, and I am pissed that I offered to pay for lunch. $ 24.04 for two with only one drink. Should have gone to the IPH, or the Comet for brunch; what a waste. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

I’ve got to say the quality here is far and above the other Chinese buffets in the area. The salmon in particular, very buttery and well cooked. Lots of sushi choices, and I’m not a sushi guy. If that was imitation lobster I’d be surprised. All in all very tasty. 4 stars though, as it is pricier than the others. $ 32 for family of three.

Slightly above average for an Asian buffet, but not holding up over time. Each time I visit the food becomes a little more lackluster, and the service a little less attentive. They would have 2 stars, but in the past I have had some great meals here so they get a good history bonus, with the hope that it was just a couple bad trips that have jaded my perspective.

I’ve visited occasionally since the place opened a few years ago. The food’s always been just slightly above average for a Chinese buffet, until my experience picking up carryout last evening. On a Friday night at about 5:30 or 6 p.m. – the height of West Side dinner hour – the already fairly limited selection of items featured a bunch of empty trays. This may not be so much of a problem if you can sit around for hours making repeated trips to the buffet, but it made for a disappointing carryout experience. The quality of most items seemed to have gone downhill, too. Or maybe it was just that the foods available were the things nobody wants to eat and had been sitting on the steam table for a while. In any event, I probably won’t be back.

Not terrible as far as Chinese buffets go but certainly not the best I’ve had. Some things were actually quite tasty, but I don’t recommend the sushi.

I’ve definitely had better. I’ve given this place three tries, not even expecting or hoping to be impressed, just somewhat pleased. Our first visit, just the boyfriend and myself, I thought was an unfortunate fluke. We arrived for a late lunch, having lost track of time while house hunting. It was 3 pm. The buffet was cold, half empty, eck. We asked for a few items to be replaced, and they never were. The«sushi guy» did make an appearance. Now, I LOVE sushi, and have a few well-known favorite restaurants on the East Coast. I would equate this sushi with what you woud find at a supermarket, and NOT Whole Foods, because WF supermarket sushi is a cut above. It was passable, and I appreciated that the gentleman made an effort to please me. Our second and third visits here were during lunch and dinner, respectively. During normal meal times, I can at least report that the buffet offerings are kept hot and fresh. Otherwise, the taste did not improve much with the increased attention. Can’t say I won’t ever go here again, but not on purpose. I am on the hunt for a GOOD Chinese restaurant, either on the west or northside, and wouldn’t mind replies with suggestions.

I’ve been here a few times and each time, I think I’m going to discover something new, but I don’t. I just wind up having the same things, which is okay, because they’re pretty tasty. As far as American Chinese buffets goes, this one is pretty good. One thing I have to mention is the service. They are all very attentive, very polite, and very friendly. I really appreciate that, because it seems like that’s the exception in buffet style restaurants. The food is fairly standard American Chinese food, but they do have some curve balls like the salad bar, sometimes there’s pizza, chicken nuggets, and french fries. A few of my favorites are the honey chicken, mei fun, the pot stickers, and the sauteed green beans. I don’t eat crab legs much, but they have them on the dinner buffet. WORDTOTHEWISE: be prepared to throw a few ‘bows to to get at them! The crab legs go fast, and the regulars don’t mess around! I would definitely say this place is a good value. Included with the price of your buffet are the hibachi grill and the sushi bar. I’ve sampled both and the thing I’d say about the hibachi is that I wish there was more variety. The sushi was okay, and I like that the guy is making it right in front of you. That way you don’t have to wonder if it’s been sitting out. It’s not 5-star sushi, but it’s okay. My family seems to really like this place, so I’m sure I’ll be back again soon.

I went here last week with my mom and sister. I have been here before with others, but this day I was disappointed. We were there at dinner time and you would think that the staff would be on top of keeping the buffet pans full and hot. Well, they didn’t! Then when we and other asked when they were bringing out more food we recieved no response. The women handling the food walked right past us. Just sad. I mean there are some of my favs there that I can’t or don’t find at other places, so every now and then when I get in the mood for Chinese food this is sometimes where I go. As for the bathroom I would give them a 4. It is clean and well kept!

I kind of love this place. This is a 4 star for a Chinese Buffet, not for fine dining. You know what I’m talking about. Big selection, lots of space, and some good selections. Not a fan of the sushi bar, because the sushi rice is not so good, but I love the variety of stir frys and I know others enjoy the hibachi. Some of my favorites: green beans, honey chicken, honey shrimp, hot and sour soup. Added bonuses are the little clams and other seafood options. Sometimes they have the steam buns I love, and their potstickers are better than a lot that I’ve had a buffet. Pretty solid.

It’s a Chinese buffet so there’s not a whole lot to say, but I would claim that this is one of the best of the buffets in the area. They have a huge selection, with all the regular Chinese choices, along with a lot of things most buffets don’t have. They have a salad bar, a sushi bar, dessert bar, and the best thing is probably the hibachi grill. They have a chef there to take your order and make it right in front of you. It’s included in the price of the buffet so you don’t have to pay a huge price like you would at a regular hibachi place. The building used to be Olive Garden, so it’s pretty big and has plenty of space to fit groups. Everything I’ve had there always tasted pretty fresh and I see them replenish everything frequently. They also just added beer and wine to their menu, which is another thing that sets them apart from other Chinese buffets. Even though there are lots of good points to boast about Golden Dragon, it’s still a buffet place, so it’s nothing fancy. But if you are in the mood for classic cheap Chinese, this might be a good place to try.
