Fabulous Frames & Art

I am an artist /​color consultant and this is where I take all my artwork to be framed and where send all my clients. I find they are quite knowledgeable about working with original artwork, how to handle it, etc. The selection of frames and mats is great, and the folks (I work with Dwight and Susan) are very helpful and creative and my pieces always turn out beautifully. I did some of my Christmas shopping there too as the selection of Charley Harper artwork and items, and Rookwood things is really nice. I would recommend them to anyone.

I did not get any framing done during my visit to Fabulous Frames, so this review is focusing on the art part of the store. There are several branches of this store around Cincinnati, but we chose this location because it has the largest selection of Charley Harper art. For those unfamiliar with Charley Harper, he was a famous artist who trained and did a lot of his work in the Cincinnati area. A lot of his work focused on wildlife and was done in a modernist style.
This location carried a wide variety of products in Charley Harper and the Harper Family art line. In addition to some beautiful prints, there were also items like puzzles, ornaments, stationary, and a lot more. We spent a lot of time just looking at everything. It wasn’t hard to locate — as soon as you walk through the door, there are floor to ceiling framed prints to check out. In addition to Charley Harper’s work, we also saw a number of Edie Harper (his wife)‘s work too.
This is a good place to go if you are a Charley Harper fan or if you are shopping for one. Service was satisfactory — the employees didn’t hover but were available if you had questions or needed help.
