First, I made an appointment and I still had to wait 30 minutes. Second, I asked for a $ 45 pink and white fill in and I was charged the price of a $ 55 full set. Third, the nail tech was rough as Heck! The Twitch was pulling on me like a wrestler and then she had the nerve to nip my finger. Poor manners, smh Needless to say I didn’t tip!

I went in on Monday around 4pm, there was no wait. She did a great job cleaning up my beat up nails and cuticles. I got a gel manicure and it looks very neat and well done! The shop is a very simple set up.

I’ve always said that two things New York City does really well are breakfast and mani/pedi’s. Sometimes, though, you need a mani/pedi on the road. I was staying at the Hilton in Cincinnati and needed a pedicure. Elite Nails was in the same building. My treat is a spa pedicure, particularly with a 10 minute leg and foot massage. So, I splurged on their Deluxe Pedicure($ 45) with a scub, mask and 10 minute massage advertised in their flyer. In NYC one gets a scrub, then a mask, then a 10 minute massage, with lotion(in NYC they set a timer when the massage begins). After Elite’s scrub, then mask, the attendant began to paint my toes and I asked about the 10 minute massage, she said she had«included it as she was going along». Don’t waste the $ 15 more it costs over the regular pedicure. Not only did she not do a real«massage» she didn’t clean under my nails when she did the cleaning and trimming. Hopefully, unlike Caitlin, mine will stay on when I get home.

I was happy with my pedicure here. It cost $ 32. It was a Saturday and there was really no wait when I got there at noon. I felt like the girl spent a decent amount of time working on me and wasn’t rushed. Too bad I didn’t realize my nails weren’t dry and ruined my polish when I got home and put my slippers on :(My Google Maps made it look like the place was on 4th St so I was kind of confused until I called and they told me it was in the mall(entrance I used was on 5th St).
