E+O Kitchen is my favorite restaurant in the Cincinnati area. From the food and cocktails, to the service, to the space and the music I can find nothing that compares. Both indoor and outdoor dining. Try the Manhattan and Mojito, the Brussels sprout salad, the ceviche, the sushi and the Pot de Crème. All are delicious. The owner is on site often and really cares. It makes all the difference. You won’t be disappointed.

Great ambience and great food. Brussel sprout and kale salad is an absolute must. Friend tried the Identity cocktail — a pear sake cocktail. It was delicious

First of all, I’m sure you’ve seen it from the outside, but it’s pretty cool. Walking up the stairs to E&O is like walking up on a bad ass deck that you can’t wait to have a drink on. The ambiance of this restaurant is pretty perfect for me. The floors are beautiful(can be slick!), the décor and lighting are perfect, there is a live growing plant wall in the back, etc. The music is fun– kind of techno/club music but on a dinner scale. Food– Brussel sprout salad– absolutely delicious! The brussel sprouts are shaved with crispy kale, red peppers and this dressing that I could have drank. Guac– this was pretty good for me but I don’t think I’d order it again. Their selling point is that they blend cream into to make it creamy so the texture is nice but it lacks in flavor. The chips were good though! Sushi– we just had a basic crab roll for my daughter. It was nicely presented and good, as expected! Octopus skewers– we love octopus so any place that has it, we get it. Sad to say that it was very over cooked and I wouldn’t order it again. Although the sauce that came on top was pretty tasty. Spicy shrimp– fried shrimp in a spicy creamy sauce over a bed of lettuce. Really good if you toss it all up. Really, you can’t go wrong with this dish. Loco Moco– this dish wasn’t the most eye appealing for me but it was amazing! Not sure what cut of beef this is but its was so tender, full of flavor and cooked perfectly, served over rice, gravy(no idea what type but so good) and an egg on top. I wasn’t 100% impressed with E&O but definitely be back for the good stuff!

This is our first time to dine here. We came in for brunch, expecting Japanese food, and were pleasantly surprised by their interesting menu. They have a brunch menu thus we ended up ordering a variety of entrees. My wife ordered the Brussel sprout salad which had kale, brussel spouts, chili and other ingredients. It was a decadent savory salad that was great with or without the salad dressing. We were a party of 4 and had a variety of bruch entrees. My son and I had the Loco Moco which had spam rice, grass fed beef, and eggs; and my wife had the Patatas bravas? which had chorizos, pork belly and eggs and potatoes; and my daughter had a variety of sushi. Their potatoes were scrumptious — crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. The rest of the entrees were spot on. We loved them. We also appreciate the fact that my daughter was able to make choices considering she has soy allergies, is sensitive to gluten and night-shade foods. We know we’re coming back because we want to try the rest of their menu.

E+O is a newer joint in the Hyde Park area known for its refreshing cocktails and Latin — Asian fusion menu. The inside is welcoming with white ceilings and wood, with a «living wall» covered in leaves /plants in the back. E+O might be trying to be a little too hip as the music was a little too«club» and a little too loud for my taste. I like to be able to hear the conversations happening at the table… Anyways, let’s talk food! This is a menu I could eat everything on and be happy and satisfied. They have a bunch of small plates representing the different cuisines like ceviches, tacos, rice bowls and kabobs. They also have Asian — Latin Fusian entrees. One of the best things I’ve eaten in a while was their Brussels sprouts. They were fried with crispy kale, cabbage and had a tangy Asian style vinegarette. Seriously incredible. Great to share or enjoy alone as more of an entrée(which is what I did). I also enjoyed the salmon ceviche. It was bright and refreshing – really loaded with flavor. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. They have a great selection of Sushi rolls the whole group seemed to enjoy. E+O has a really fun cocktail menu as well. Lots of really refreshing sounding drinks. They do some unique things too – like using egg whites in their margs. They also have Paloma’s on the menu(one of my fav cocktails) so I can’t wait to come back and sit on the patio this summer with a refreshing drink. I’ll say one thing here – if you like good, efficient and attentive service, don’t come here. The server often forgot about us and they took decades to bring our food and drinks out. I wanted more water and it must have taken 20 minutes. I enjoyed the food so much though I’ll forgive the service this time. Definitely check this place out! —– I think all the above is true with a small update– changed to 5 stars because I returned last night and had an amazing experience out on the patio. Service was attentive and informative. The manager was working the room and our server was clearly passionate about the dishes suggesting things to order and helping us navigate the drink menu. I was gonna give them one more try for service and they definitely delivered. Also, highly recommend the patio. The dining room often gets reserved up for parties who planned ahead but the patio had no wait and was quieter(easier to chat) and was very relaxing).

First time here … Really good. Hard to choose a drink. They all sound good. Picked the summer bliss. Just enough spice. Very refreshing. My date for the guava mojito. Was been than the pain killer that he originally ordered. Too sweet. We ordered sushi … Uno dos and dynamite bae. Both really good. So much to try … Will be back so we can try more of the menu.

Service was very sketchy. Our waitress was overworked and inexperienced. The food came out in bits and starts. Our party of 8 did not feel we were eating together. Management was of little assistance. The main dishes were either greasy and tasteless in addition to having hair as an added ingredient. Our evening was ruined. I doubt we will ever go back.

This place could be my heaven. A-freaking-mazing cocktails. Check. Sushi rolls that are creative and delish. Check. Craft nigiri!!! Check Check!!! Some of the freshest sashimi. Check. Ceviche to make you swoon. Check. What more could you want. Our first trip has left me yearning to return but the question when I do is how do I try different things on the menu and get everything that I want that I had last time. The Nigiri was so cool. They flavor each piece with some awesome subtle ingredients. Seriously one of the most awesome finds. Get the Waygu. Now! The salmon sashimi was like butter. Yum. It is pricy but oh so worth it. The quality was top notch. So much better than you will find at half price sushi places. Not that you won’t find me at those as well, but sometimes you need the good stuff. Cannot wait to return. Probably best that they are not downtown so that I don’t go there every night!

I was hoping for more from E+O but it was still a good experience. The menu goes a lot of different directions but was mostly items that were heavy and meat based, not as light/fresh as I expected from a asian/latin mix. We had a vegetarian with us too which made the menu hard as there are few vegetarian options on the menu and it was difficult to find menu items to adapt. I had the brussel sprout salad with shrimp. The sprouts are flash fried and the crunchy texture was great. They salad is a decent portion and can be shared or enjoyed as a meal. The dressing on the salad was probably the best part. I have also been here later in the evening for cocktails which were delicious. This menu here was diverse and offered a lot of lighter and fruit based cocktails that still weren’t too sweet. If would return for drinks and sushi and to enjoy the atmosphere/décor!

Oh, E+O. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. For starters, this is some of the best quality sushi I’ve ever had. The sashimi cut like butter and flavorful and fresh. The rolls are not only inventive and fun, but also unbelievably delicious. They also serve some of the best ceviche I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. I really loved the crispy seaweed chips they served them with, although I wish that the order came with more than two. Even though the sushi and raw menu items are a personal favorite of mine, nothing compares to the cocktail menu that E+O has gifted the city of Cincinnati. There is no wrong choice on that menu, but I can guarantee that there is a cocktail listed that you will swear was created just for you. The Strawberry Sling is a personal favorite of mine, but none of them disappoint. I recently tried some of their heavier menu items and was delighted when I found that they were on par with what I’ve come to expect from E+O. The Gaucho Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. It was served with crispy potatoes and aioli, which is a combination of naughty carbs and heaven. The only disappointing things I’ve run into is that the tacos, which are sold in sets of three, cannot me mixed and matched. Too bad, since I’m sure that they are all freaking amazing. The best part about E+O? It’ll take you some time to run through the whole menu, and each items is as delicious as the last. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving!

This sushi is off the hook!!! I loved pretty all of the cocktails we tried here(all 4)!! The fish was so incredibly fresh and delicious and the biggest surprise to me was how much I absolutely LOVED the wagu nagiri. The bill adds up quickly, but the flavours are amazing and definitely worthwhile. The Dragon’s Breath is my current favourite, but I will definitely be back to try a few more. Highly recommend this for a date night or a lunch with friends. The atmosphere is light and fresh, but definitely very versatile. Wish there was a 6 star rating option for this place!!!

I love what they’ve done with this place since taking over as E+O. The bar area is great, nice cocktail menu. The dinner menu is less impressive. We went here with a group of six and were recommended to try the appetizers and tacos. In theory, the items look good, but just wasn’t a lot to eat — some items were trying a bit too hard. All with the exception of the brussels sprout salad(fried kale, chilies, carrots, shrimp). Truly the best brussels sprout and kale salad I’ve had. Next time I will try the main courses. In general, a nice place to grab a drink and a snack.

Imagine a swanky fusion restaurant with a «chill» club-like vibe. Put in white walls, fashionable waitstaff and a «living wall» in the back room. This isn’t New York or downtown, this is E+O in Hyde Park. There was a lot of buzz about E+O’s opening after the close and remodel of Dancing Wasabi, a neighborhood favorite. And I don’t think the owners disappointed with the menu, décor and overall vibe of the place. However, there are a few elements that leave me wanting more. Let me start with the food. It’s good. Really good. Perhaps I might say«the brussels sprout salad changed my life» good. I’m also not implying you shouldn’t get the guac, it’s a unique twist on a heavily debated Mexican staple. The edamame in the dip makes it special. I also love the sushi, haven’t had a bad roll yet. I came on my birthday with my family and we ordered three of the Dragon’s Roll, Dynamite Bae and the Deal Closer. I wouldn’t say the prices are outrageous either, not«half off all the time» cheap but they make they special enough to make it worth it. My main recommendation for the restaurant is to improve the consistency in service. I came on my birthday as I said and we had a great time, if not on the slow side. My mom is notoriously slow at restaurants and our waitress was very accommodating and didn’t mind our scatterbrained ordering technique. I have also come in the middle of the afternoon with one person and received exemplary service. However on my last visit for another friend’s birthday(I’m in no way implying this is a celebration type spot, it’s not outrageously expensive), we had such slow service combined with a large party and it felt like the meal would never end. We were a large party(that 4 people didn’t show up for, kids these days amirite) and two waiters introduced themselves. Well we only had one waitress for the rest of the meal. She infrequently checked on us and our food came out sporadically. For example, my boyfriend and I ordered two rolls and they came out on two places, 15 minutes after each other. Another couple ordered two rolls and they came out on the same plate, as expected. We were in there for three hours and I hope it was worth her while, but at the end of the meal we were all anxious to get our checks and get out of there. So my overall review: Food: Five Stars. This food is out of this world. Go for the brussels spout salad and share some plates to try it all. Ambiance/Décor: Also Five Stars. They manage to transport you somewhere far swankier than Hyde Park. Service: Low Three. Being so hit or miss and terribly slow is almost expected for a new place, but needs to be improved now that they’ve been in business for a while. I’ll definitely be back. There’s still too much on the menu I haven’t tried yet.

E+O *Kitchen* should focus on being a restaurant and not a nightclub in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The first time we went, they were out of half the beers on their menu. Then, after multiple promises, the refund for my incorrect to-go order was never granted. Also, it would be nice if they’d stop blaring outdoor music outside of the hours they’re actually open.

Great intimate Fusion dining space. You’re drawn in immediately by the beautiful interior with light wood washes and clean lines. Our group of four went for brunch this past weekend and it was a delightful experience. Seated by the wide windows, the sun felt warm and provided great natural lighting, which made the food look even more incredible. Our waiter was prompt and provided great feedback on the menu items. We ended up ordering a slew of dishes but the one that stands out the most was the Brussel Sprout Salad. Maybe it’s a Cincinnati thing(there was another restaurant that committed the same faux-pas) but the majority of the brussel sprout strands were scorched and overly carbon. It did add a unique aroma, but I feel like it was a bit much. Other than that, the salad had tremendous texture and flavor hitting notes that were sweet, crunchy, spicy, salty, and smokey. Individually speaking, I love shrimp so it was enticing to see petite pieces of shrimp that were interwoven into the salad. Some other cooked items that were at our table, like the Loco Moco and the Potato Bravas, had a bit more salt content than expected but were still enjoyable. The Tempura Shrimp had an exquisite crackling crust but the sauce tasted like an exact dupe of Panda Express Honey Walnut Shrimp. The rolls – Dynamite Bae, Uno-Dos, and my favorite, Tango – were overall yummy, light in texture and not overwhelmingly saucy. Overall a great dining experience with decent food.

I live in the neighborhood, but have been waiting a bit to eat here as it sounded like the reviews were mixed. Our group of 4 made a reservation well in advance and dined mid-week. For some reason there were about 4 hostesses on duty, young girls, and they basically looked at me like I had 3 heads when I checked in. It was a very bizarre exchange. After that weirdness, things were great. The place was packed, so the bar service was pretty slow, however, the manager stopped by our table to apologize and ended up buying us a round of drinks. Super nice touch that we weren’t expecting. I’m not a giant fan of brussel sprouts, but after reading all the rave reviews, I knew we had to get it. This salad is a winner! We split it between three of us and it was plenty. We couldn’t taste the brussel spouts at all. Yum! We also had the tuna poke, which was fantastic. We split 2 sushi rolls and 2 kinds of sashimi as well. The forth person in our party had one of the rice bowls and thought it was just ok, she’s pretty picky though. I was very pleased with all of the seafood, very fresh. The service was great, even though they were packed. We’ll be back for sure!

Alright I finally made it here and I have decided that its all about what you order. Previous Unilocal reviews basically told me the hot plates were no good, but cocktail and sushi were worth a trip. So thats the theory I went with. We started with cocktails, I went with the Wild Manhattan. As a manhattan and bourbon lover, I really loved this cocktail. It wasn’t as strong as a normal manhattan, to my fiancé it wasnt strong enough, to my non-bourbon loving friends, it was still too strong; so this drink is somewhere in between a cocktail where you can’t taste the liquor and a glass of straight bourbon. I tried a sip of the Mindful Paloma and wow was that an interesting cocktail, my friend who ordered it didn’t like it at first but as the food came she began to like it more and more and actually ended up getting another. On to the food. The waitress explained to us that it is small plates style and suggested we share, which is exactly what we wanted to do. I absolutely loved everything we got, I was actually surprised at how happy I was with all of the food and drinks. I will detail the deliciousness below: 1. Brussels Sprout Salad — wow it really is good, I would definitely recommend ordering it. It was ok to share with 4, but I wouldn’t share it with any more than 4 people. 2. Ahi Tuna Poke, it was delicious cubes of ahi and goodies on top of a crispy seaweed chip — fantastic. 3. Sushi Rolls in order of favorite to least: –Tango — sweet and spicy with avocado on top –Number 4 — Escolar is an amazingly buttery smooth fish and I order it any time I see it on a menu — the roll was a little too soft overall but still great –Mas Sake — tomato jam on a sushi roll? Yes. Nice and spicy –Take a Breath — garlic on a sushi roll? Eh. I liked the garlic flavor but the rest of the roll just wasn’t as exciting as the other 3. We also each tried a piece of nigiri and we all loved our choices, I personally had the albacore and loved it.

I was very much looking forward to coming here for a while based on the aesthetics of the restaurant and menu online. After going on Unilocal and reading some recent reviews, I was a bit shocked at the poor reviews. Thankfully, my experience here was much better than the ones I read. I will start off by saying this restaurant is beautiful and makes you forget you are even in Cincinnati! Very simple yet chic décor, cool gray and white colors and good music that provided for a great ambiance with friends. So many things I wanted to order but because of the quite pricey menu, I had to contain myself. I got the octopus yakitori with Kimchi butter as a starter and the Poke Rice Bowl as my main course. The octopus yakitori was a bit tough and I felt a bit overcooked to what I am used to. Portion was extremely small but it was satisfying. The Poke bowl was delicious and honestly a way larger portion than what I expected. The Ahi tuna was very soft and flavorful and the cucumber salad with cabbage gave it a really subtle spicy tang. To drink I ordered the Samurai Punch– very refreshing and it left me wanting more! Don’t expect a full glass cocktail here… The table ordered some of the raved about Brussel sprout salad, and I can now see why so many people love it. So many flavors, lots of texture, huge portion and overall felt like a satisfying, healthy salad. While the prices are a bit high to what I am used to in the Cincinnati area, the quality of the food made up for it. Definitely a great place to come for special occasions.

We particularly loved the brussel sprout-fried kale salad. The chicken dumplings were very good, also. My husband had several sushi rolls and he thought they were excellent. The noise level was quite loud, but we would return, as the food was really great! Loved the décor… like a beach house, very modern. They had a sushi bar as well as a regular bar. We had a reservation at 5:45 and it wasn’t too crowded, but by the time we left, it was packed! Service was good. We were told that food would come to the table as it was ready. So we knew that not everything would come out at the same time. Our waitress was good and the manager came by to check on us. He suggested we try the ceviche next time. Said it’s his favorite item on the menu.

Walked in and was immediately impressed by the beautiful ambiance. Hostess had our reservation ready. Menu was creative, food delicious. Why 3-stars? Sadly, service was very disappointing. How does a restaurant invest so much into its food and look yet have such an unexperienced waitstaff? God love Jerami, he was trying his best, but he seemed clueless! We asked him about the menu, he said very little. He got our order wrong. He never refilled our water. He brought out 2 of the same orders of a glass of wine with one having only half a pour in it. Maybe he was intimidated by a table of 4 women with incredibly good looks? I hope so! This restaurant has potential with some waitstaff training.

Went here for the first time Friday to grab drinks. PROS: drinks were very good! They had a great assortment of alcohol and cocktails. They tasted wonderful. The whole table I was wish was impressed. The atmosphere was amazing. They did a great job at decorating the place. It is very modern with a clean white washed wood which is very bright and pleasing. They even have a living wall in the back which is very cool. The sushi bar is nice as well. The bar is awesome with a standing bar(similar to Bakersfield) — nice touch. We didn’t eat– but I glanced at the menu and they have Asian food as well as tacos. It’s an interesting mix… but I would give it a try. CONS: the service sucked. We weren’t greeted when we walked in. The two girls at the front were just standing at chatting. Then when we approached them they just stared at us until WE asked if we could get a drink at the bar. She proceeded to just point us in that direction. We approach the bar(which was packed) with no where to grab a drink. Finally a man came up to us(I assume the manager) and kindly told us to take a seat and a waitress would love to get our drinks for us! I wish we had known this from the start. We get our drinks and then it took forever to get our check. The waitress barely came back to check on us and YETAGAIN the manager came over and asked if we needed something and we said we had been waiting to check out for about 20 minutes. By this time we were ready to go. I am big on good service especially for a new restaurant and we didn’t receive it here. Also– as a vegetarian there is barely anything on the menu to eat. Most Asian restaurants have veg sushi to offer but this restaurant didn’t have one. The entrees all had meat or fish as well. They need a larger selection to cater to non meat eaters as well. Not sure if we’ll be back…

Went here last night with a party of nine with reservations. Our table was ready when we arrived. First of all, the décor was beautiful. The high beams and colors made for a very nice atmosphere. The music is a bit loud, but maybe that’s because we were in the alcove to the right as you enter. It has a speaker right above us in the corner. Plus we got the noise from the bar and the people waiting in the entry area. The server waited on use promptly and was friendly and efficient. The wait staff who filled our waters were definitely on top of it. Plus, one guy promptly got us the wifi password when asked. Drinks were ordered as each party arrived. These received mixed reviews. Two of us ordered mixed drinks and thought they were weak with not much alcohol and too much ice. One thought that it was good but had had better elsewhere. One thought it was very good. Next time I would stick to a glass of wine. I will say that when I was considering wine, the server was happy to bring me a sample. Addressing comments by past reviewers, the server explained before we ordered that everything is made fresh and served immediately. Because of this, dishes do not come out all together(i.e. all apps will not come out together). So she suggested ordering family style. We did this for the apps, but we did order individually for our entrees. For apps/first courses, I sampled the brussel sprout salad that reviewers raved about. Yes, it was very good and I might order it again, but do note that the veggies are flash-fried. This might not appeal to everyone. I also taste a ahi poke which was good, very fresh, and a guac app that was also good. The steam buns were a fav of mine with the cilantro and pork belly. The buns were the traditional Peking duck style shaped like a taco. The sauce was savory and delicious with just the right amount of crunch from the slaw. Also tried the Two Lil Piggies roll with pork belly and caramelized onions. This was okay to me and the roll was small(in diameter). I am a sushi traditionalist though. For entrees my hubby had the ramen and enjoyed it. He prefers a ramen at our favorite Japanese restaurant however. I ordered the hamachi and salmon sashimi with a bowl of rice on the side. The pieces of sashimi were thick, fresh, and delicious. It was served with a bed of daikon. I think they need to re-think their soy sauce dispensers. They us sake pitchers which made it hard to control the amount you dispense. Cute idea though. Four pieces of sashimi range from $ 8 – 12 dollars, a fair price. Some ordered dessert and raved about the house-made mochi. I ordered a coffee drink and it was good. Overall we had a good meal. Looking around, it seemed like the trendy place to be. It had a nice outside area in front with fire pits and warmers. It was fun to go to, and I might return for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. The menu was inventive and the atmosphere was nice. For sushi and Asian cuisine? I prefer more authentic restaurants if ordering sushi and sashimi. It was also on the pricey side.

I love the Cincinnati food scene and unfortunately I just left an awful experience. I was greeted by a hostess who couldn’t remember my name for the reservation after two attempts. She then proceeded to walk me half way to the table only to pawn me off on a wait staff member saying«I need help». I was seated with one menu while I waited on my friend for our party of two. We received our appetizer five minutes before our cocktails. We each ordered two sushi rolls and instead of coming out all at once we had one roll delivered and didn’t see the other three for greater than 12 minutes. We ordered a second round of cocktails, only to be told that they were out of the watermelon drink requested«because we had like 300 people last night». The drink consisted of rum, watermelon cubes, lime and ginger beer. The sushi was actually decent but the rolls were not uniformly cut, consistent with the preparation of a poor sushi chef. I love to frequent new places in town and I will never return. Good luck to all.

I was so excited to try E&O! My husband and I just moved here from Chicago and one of our favorite restaurants there was Sunda. When I found out that Chef Rodelio Aglibot was designing a menu for a restaurant here in town I knew it had to be good. He did not disappoint. You must try the brussel sprout salad and the guacamole. I know what you are thinking… why would I order guacamole at and Asian restaurant but just trust me. Could not be happier to have this gem in Cincinnati.

Wow, E+O Kitchen really impressed me with their inventive menu, beautiful décor, and delicious cocktails. My dinner last weekend was 4-stars, but I think there is strong 5-star potential at E+O if they up their service. This restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS. The clean and fresh décor, living wall in the back of the restaurant(Fun fact! It’s apparently the largest living wall in Ohio), beautiful lighting, modern artwork, and club music make this place just feel so cool. It would be perfect for a date, girls night out, or fun dinner with friends. We started with the kale and brussel sprout salad($ 12), which definitely lived up to the hype! Normally salads don’t excite me, but this one was crunchy and had great roasted flavor and was extremely satisfying. It was big enough to share, and everyone in our group loved it! A must order! For our meals, we ordered one pork steam bun($ 4, from the small plates menu), ahi tuna poke($ 13, small plate), three crispy chicken tacos($ 9), and the Loco Moco($ 16). We especially loved the Loco Moco and the poke. The Loco Moco is made up of white rice, gravy, beef, and a runny egg making this a very decadent dish, but its super creamy and rich flavors were absolutely to die for. The poke was also amazing! Fresh raw ahi tuna served on top of crispy fried seaweed, with avocado, veggies, and a yummy sauce, it was DELISH. The steam bun was also good, but not as memorable. The only thing we didn’t really enjoy that much were the chicken tacos because the chicken was more breading than actual chicken. The flavor was good, but I wanted more meat and less batter. Service was ok… The servers seemed to be confused about who was our waiter, because we had two different people come up to our table to try to take our drink orders. Also the brussel sprout salad came out very fast, but the rest of our meal was pretty slow. And my water ran dry a few times. Overall nothing appalling, but for these prices I think service should be flawless. Our meal was a little pricey, but I think the prices were fair considering what we got. The portion sizes were pretty good, and we all left very full. Overall, a great experience, and I can’t wait to come back!

Love it! That Kale Brussel Sprout slaw is on point!!! After that I got the fried chicken sliders because… Well… I’m a black dude. Those were real good. My friends had other taco and of course I tried those as well. My only only complaint would probably be the menu. It’s so many items on there. Which is usually a good thing but from a business standpoint and a customers it can be overwhelming. The steak tacos were meh which is a shame because steak is a pretty malleable meat in the flavoring sense. The steak was pretty bland. The service speed was normal but the place is the old dancing wasabi I think so it’s kind of small. Other than these super small things I think it’s excellent. Just condense the menu a little bit and make those dishes the best around

Nick Grammas is wonderful. He did a fantastic job renovating the space. It’s classy, clean and fun. Love the concept of E+O. The food was excellent. Very enjoyable night!

Prior to our meal, my boyfriend and I were very excited to try e+o kitchen. However, we had the worst experience we have had at a restaurant, ever. First off, the timing of the entire meal was terrible. We received our appetizers before our drinks, and were continually bombarded with food in a short amount of time. Our entrees came out while we were still having our appetizers and the entire meal felt very rushed. Now onto the quality of the food. I had a sushi roll and a ceviche, both were ok. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco. While eating it, he found a bone that was about an inch and a half long in his meal. He very politely told our waitress, who responded«wow, you are the first person that has ever happened to, so, CONGRATULATIONS?!» and did NOTHING else. No apology, no manager, no taking the item off our bill, nothing. At this point, we wanted to just get out of the restaurant. We couldn’t though because our waitress was too busy attempting to open a bottle of wine at a nearby table. We watched her struggle with the wine bottle for what must have been 10 minutes before she eventually handed it to one of the customers at the table to open for her. When we got our check, she apologized for the wait by saying«you know how wine bottles are». No, we don’t know — but you should, seeing it’s an essential function of your job. We were fuming after our meal, and contacted the restaurant via their ‘contact us’ page on the website. This was two weeks ago and we still have not gotten a response. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant and am shocked we never even got a reply email.

Food: Five star. Very high quality. Presentation was beautiful. We had 2 different types of tacos, 2 different types of the skewers and 2 sushi rolls, all were perfect! Atmosphere: Classy, beautiful and tasteful. Service: This is where they missed the mark. Hostess was really nice. Waitress was very unprofessional, you could see that she would look at our table and«remember» that she might have forgotten something. 1st drink took over 20 minutes and last drink never came. Mr. Hama however was very nice and offered to buy us a drink when he saw us looking around for a while, we were just over it and it kind of ruined the experience of the amazing food the beautiful place, sitting around the whole evening wondering when might our drinks come. At this price point and food quality I expect much better service. And experienced waitstaff. This kind of bad service does not take place at Boca or Forno. I hope the service improves because I would like to come back, because the food was truly great!

Atmosphere was very nice with a living plant wall along the back of the restaurant. Quiet with a wonderful aroma when walking in the door. We were greeted by two hosts that opened the door for us. Went on a Sunday evening for an early dinner. There were not many seated in the restaurant(maybe 4 couples,) but plenty of servers awaiting the dinner rush. We were seated in the back where there were no others seated, very quaint if you are on a date, but almost too quiet for a restaurant that opened nearly a week ago. Our server was quick to greet us, but for some reason she did not seem confident whatsoever. She fumbled her words a little and almost seemed intimidated. I almost expected her to ask if it was our first time there and explained a little about the menu. Instead she just continued on her normal service routine. She did warn us though that food would come out efficiently and at a rapid pace and she was correct. The food arrived in practically no time and we were very pleased with the presentation as well as the quality of the fish and food. We had plenty of a variety and were very satisfied at the end of the meal. The price point is reasonable for the quality and presentation and the atmosphere is very calm and inviting. I would recommend this restaurant over others for sushi in Hyde Park for a nice evening out.

Service: on their game A+ this team clearly knows service. I could not have felt more welcome. Atmosphere: I can see why it took so long to open. Beautiful!!! food: I came the day after thanksgiving. The food was fresh and unbelievably tasty. I was full, but not stuffed, meaning the food was great quality. It was the perfect choice and I will be back.

I want to love this restaurant. I was captivated by the exterior appearance long before it was ready to open. I eagerly anticipated it’s opening as I saw the interior space start to take shape. It is beautiful. It really is. Such an amazing space. The plants are wonderful! There are planters all over the place and on each table. There is a living mirror frame and the back room has an entire living wall of plants. They have a rather large and inventive menu. The plating, and dishware are very nice. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. The wine selections, while a touch pricey, are VERY good(and worth it) As a vegetarian, I didn’t find many options on the menu which was a little disappointing. They have a rather interesting sushi list, and I feel like it wouldn’t be such a stretch to offer even one veg option(or more than one — even just substitute fish with pickled gourd or something). I’ve been to a number of top notch sushi places in big cities that manage to bring the same level of inventiveness to vegetarian options. I get that Cincinnati isn’t big on this, but having the option on the menu doesn’t force them to stock anything extra, so they don’t lose out if no one orders it. Some of the other sides and appetizers came out tasting like fish sauce, so again, as a vegetarian, piecing a meal together may be a challenge. The seaweed salad was really just a raw kale salad with a little bit of seaweed on top. Having had amazing seaweed salad at some really nice Japanese restaurants, that’s the one item I had that I think could use a little bit more attention. It’s so beautiful and right around the corner from me, so I really wish there was something more to eat(and that didn’t have fish sauce on it).
