I paid 223.00 for a curved shaft trimmer from Dewar equip, the man that sold it to me said and believes to this day that it is a commercial grade trimmer. Please go to the stihl website, it will say a curved shaft is an occasional use trimmer, He lies to me. In all my years of buying cheaper trimmers I have never chips a spool. First thing out of the gate I chipped this stihl trimmers spool. its balky, it don’t hold much string at all, I took my unbalanced trimmer before knowing it had a chip in the spool that made it vibrate to don at Dewar. They said there was nothing w4rong with it. another dealer for stihl found the problem in ten minutes and fixed it in another ten minutes. I went and bought a cheap trimmer and im very happy. I guess you could say the cheaper bottom of the line trimmers at stihl, its not as good as the lowes level 100.00 trimmer. the lowes holds more string, its easier to restring, it has higher rpms, its lighter. and it don’t have two towers on the spool where the string comes out so it can chip off and get unbalanced like a stihl, before I bought my stihl I looked at this big balky spool and said I guess they know what they are doing. They don’t, Not on the cheap stihl trimmers. so I have a stihl that I have to baby or its a thirty dollar new spool fix. The service is bad here, they flatout lie to you hoping your stupid. the only thing that is top quality on this stihl trimmer is the motor, it starts up every time with very little effort.
