I found this place before a concert at Bogarts. I loved the place, even though I will say this is probably not a bar for everyone. Its old, and dark, and musty, and the bar stools have ripped seats — you could say this place is most defiantly a dive bar! However, I felt like the place was clean and well kept. The bartender was awesome, very personable and got our drinks out quick! I’m not sure if I would make a trip to the area just to go to Daniel’s, but you better bet the next time I go to a concert at Bogarts I will be revisiting!

Stumbled upon this bar after leaving a show at Bogart’s and I couldn’t have found a better place. While this place may be a «dive bar» it was well run and had a friendly enough bartender. We got service right away, were able to play a few other patrons on the pool table and the restrooms were clean. I would definitely recommend this place for a drink or two before/after a show or if you’re just in the area.

This place is fantastic if you like a real ****hole. I’m being serious here, it’s definitely a dive and half. It’s clean, just very old and smells like mildew since it’s kind of underground. I’ve been here a handful of times and there is always a different crowd hanging in there. One night it’s been full of punk rockers, another night full of cute girls and some nights just regulars. They have good cheap drinks and the people there are friendly. You’ll end up getting the buzz on here and talking with people you most likely wouldn’t otherwise. Always fun at Daniels, good experience, highly recommend!

Come here realizing it is the diviest of the dive bars. With this realization, it is the absolute best place ever. That is it. CHEAP and good alcohol selection with responsive staff. The bartender, Matt, catered to all of our needs and had some good advice drink-wise. A pool table is available, albeit with a slight lean.

Seriously never noticed til a friend suggested it as his go-to place. As divey as they come, Daniel’s Pub is a great place for cheeeaapp drinks($ 2 for a tequila sunrise?! just don’t cry about your hangover tomorrow) and rocking out to music on the jukebox as you dominate at a game of pool. It does have that musty basement smell, as it is literally basement level, so if you’re all frou-frou then don’t even think about it. But if you like cute, fluffy, little dogs then prepare to be delighted because the owner has two! I would consider coming back here to pre-game and then go out to a club or whatever final destination is planned for the evening. Also it tends to stay pretty quiet with a couple regulars throughout the night so you and your friends can have the place all to yourself: D

Stopped in here after tailgating and before heading to the UC-UConn football game. 14 $ for 2 PBRs and 2GIGANTIC shots of Jameson, I taste it. Talkative bartender, in a good way. I easily could have spent the entire afternoon in the bar watching the game that was going on a couple blocks away. Bathrooms were what I would expect on a U-Boat during Hitler’s last days. Fix that up and 5 stars are due.

Absolutely adore this place. There is nothing I love more than a good small bar where you can go with a couple friends and relax from the day. Some of my favorite times in Clifton have been made around Daniel’s pool table. Not to mention the excellent staff who always make you feel like you’re coming home. Cozy atmosphere and an amazing upstairs for partying. Well done Daniel’s.
