I implore anybody thinking of using the pharmacy at this location to stand at the counter and VERYCAREFULLY check the medications they are picking up. Do NOT leave the store until you have done so. In the space of less than 8 months they have managed to mis-dispense two of my prescriptions. The first time they did it, the pharmacist was extremely apologetic for first ordering, then supplying entirely the wrong drug prescribed by my doctor. Luckily I was vigilant enough when I got home to realize she had got it totally wrong. I was assured this kind of thing happens rarely, that I was very unlucky, and that systems had been tightened up to ensure it did not occur again. Well, it did, just 8 months. I can’t believe I am that unlucky. Which leads me to think their systems are incredibly, and potentially dangerously, sloppy. My more recent experience was the supply of what was supposed to be a SEALED90 days supply of one of my regular medications in a bottle. When I got it home and popped off the lid, not only was the seal missing but the quantity of pills inside was 29 short. To be honest, the pills could’ve been swapped out for anything and I _may_have ingested one, severely harming me… or worse. I am planning to report this particular pharmacist’s shortcomings to both CVS and anyone who could be interested. And I repeat my opening statement… if you are forced to use this particular pharmacy counter stand there and check your meds before you leave the store. Who knows what they may have given you?!!

I don’t like to review chains — I feel like if you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all — but I must make a stand against this CVS, since it is the worst CVS I’ve ever been to in my life! To begin with, the automatic doors barely work. There have been many times when I’ve had to push them open to get inside. Bad news number one. Then, this place is disgusting. I’m not sure if it’s the brighter-than-usual florescent lights that make everything look gross or the fact that things are just pulled off the shelf and left on the floor or that the shelves themselves are often messed up with no one walking around to fix them, but gah! Awful. Bad news number two! There is also nothing here! A month ago I went in for poster board and found their entire school section A) a mess(big surprise, right?) and B) full of nothing — no poster board, no glue, no nothing! I have no idea how long it’s been that way but I kind of doubt that downtowners had made a crazy rush on school supplies in the middle of a Wednesday. Bad news number three! ANDTHEY’RENEVEROPEN! This store closes at like 7pm, just when people are getting off of work. I’ve gone down there a few times to grab something only to find them closed and have to walk deeper into the heart of downtown to go to a Walgreens which does stay open, and that walk always sucks. BADNEWSNUMBERFOUR! The ONLY reason this isn’t getting one star is because it’s semi-close to my house and in the middle of downtown and when I really need something(not poster board mind you), I can run in and pray they have it. If they’re open. And not awful. Which is often times expecting a little too much from this place. Ugh.
