Even though the all-purpose giants like Lowe’s and Home Depot are great, so too are those smaller but very reliable neighborhood hardware stores. Cliff Hardware & Paint Supply at Depot Square in the heart of Sharonville is just that, family owned and operated and serving the community for more than six decades. It’s almost ironic that one of their specializations is in paint and paint supplies, seeing that they could use a little touch up of their own in the old shop. Looks aren’t everything though, seeing how well the shop is run despite its aged look. Cliff Hardware operates to meet the needs of both residential and commercial customers. One of their largest sections – in fact it has its own room just off the main area – is paint, carrying a lot of Porter Paints among other brands. The hardware store also has a big home and garden section, as well as electrical and plumbing supplies, hand and power tools, housewares, cleaning supplies, chains, and fasteners among other merchandise. They also offer special services as well, and those include making keys and doing window and screen repairs, while they even deliver the products(and maybe they’ll thrown in a Roc-A-Fella’s pizza while they are at it). Cliff’s isn’t the biggest, and I don’t think it’s the best either, but when it comes to hardware and paint it is a good and reliable place to shop. Any specialty neighborhood store that has been serving the community for as long as Cliff’s is always good, and along with their friendly and helpful staff, the store is very well organized and it’s easy to find just what you are looking for.
