I’ve been here a few times now and each time they did not have what I was looking for. This is no Listermans but it’s so close to me and so convenient that it’s impossible not to go now that I know it’s here. There are tons of things I like and want but what I need still eludes me. After a discussion with the new owner I think this will be resolved quickly. He couldn’t be a nicer guy and is extremely knowledgeable about home brewing. He made some recommendations for me that I am utilizing. Hopefully the outcome is a success. For now they get three stars just because they aren’t established yet. So far I’m really excited this place opened up on the west side! I’m almost 100% sure I will be in here on the weekly basis! They carry carboys, yeast, kits, chips, teas and tools and tubing along with dozens of other items that can aid you in your quest to make the best adult beverage!

Great hop and grain selection. Whether you are an experienced brewer or wine maker or are just getting into the hobby, Tabletop has you covered on the West side of Cincy. The people who typically run the store when they are open are avid homebrewers and can answer most any question you may have whether basic, or advanced. The prices seem to be fair and even low on some items, depending whether you are talking ingredients or equipment. If you are an all-grain brewer they have a great selection of grain for you to choose from, just take a whiff and taste of the Cherry Smoked Malt, mmmm. Where this Home Brew Supply shop shines, in my opinion, is the hop selection. They have a large variety of hops in stock most times and often some varieties that are more difficult to find. They seem to have a nice selection of ingredients and equipment for wine and tea, though I could not comment on the diversity and breadth, as I am not a brewer or maker of either. This is a great stop to grab the ingredients and equipment you need to make your net brew day a success.

Tucked away in a West Side strip mall, this is definitely a fairly nondescript storefront. Once inside, it is filled with lots of fun goodies for home brewers. Customer service is always great. I attended a brewing class and have been to the store a few times just to pick up some items, the staff being friendly and helpful has always been obvious. I haven’t dabbled much in the wine making and tea areas of the shop — but we have always found what we are looking for when it comes to beer brewing. Prices also seem pretty much on point. On our most recent trip we weren’t really paying attention to the time. We got out of the car and noticed the shop had closed a half hour ago. Heading back to the car, all of the sudden the door opened and we were welcomed in. Our items were quickly selected since we wanted to get in and out. Despite our self-induced guilt, the two gentlemen working told us to take our time and made sure that we had everything we came for. Seriously amazing customer service. This shop may not be in our neighborhood, but it is definitely worth the trip.

They sell a starter kit for home brewing that is only $ 13! What!?! Yes. $ 13.

Best Feature: Amazing selection of wine & beer kits/accessories and tea, good prices, and great service! Worst Feature: — A recent stop in to this place yielded some amazing and unbeatable discoveries — if you’re a wine, beer, or tea nut, you’ll love it. I’d never ventured into any kind of brewing store, but we had the fortunate to attend a Unilocal event here where they promised to teach us all about brewing your own beer — and deliver they did. They provided all kinds of samples of grains and ingredients and the two instructors were incredibly nice, giving us all kinds of crazy trivia about brewing beer, types of beer, etc. For example: I’m a fan of the banana bread beers. Turns out the banana flavor comes from a particular type of yeast reaction that yields a banana flavor — no bananas involved! Could’ve fooled me. They were very nice despite a packed room and a lot going on, and we were able to sample some of their beer(delicious!!) as well as take our own beer home to finish brewing ourselves. The store carries a lot of different kits and apparently they’ll even help you customize one to your liking! If you know you want something like a Blue Moon but want some other hints of flavor or styles, they’ll help customize your beer kit and help you get started. My fiancé is a huge fan of beer and wine and has always had an interest in brewing his own beer. We both had a blast learning more about beer and took home some supplies for ourself as they are reasonably(if not fantastically) priced and give you quite a lot for your money! I personally am a huge fan of brewing my own tea beverages from loose leaf tea. I was incredibly excited when I came upon their tea selection! They have all kinds of tea and the gentleman at the counter was sure to help me browse the teas to find what I want. He even gave me a container to store my tea in! All the guys there were incredibly nice and a blast to talk to. They definitely know their stuff and helped us learn a lot more about beer and the brewing process. They have a great selection of supplies for not just beer but also wine and tea! They even have books and extra supplies or references if you want to know more about various types of beverages. I was really impressed with their products and definitely their service. I also can say I tried out both the«Coco Starr» tea(hints of coconut + anise) as well as the Chocolate-Mint Rooibos teas and both were fantastic! Very strong but smooth and much better than the Lipton variety. They have fruity teas, green teas, bold teas, all kinds of teas and even some they had tucked away in cabinets! I will definitely be back in for my beverage needs and a huge thanks to those guys for their hard work and great attitude!

If you want to brew beer and wine, well step right up, you’ve hit the motherload. I had no idea this place existed and walking in had me in homebrew heaven. I have limited homebrewing experience and the workers know their stuff, perhaps a bit too well. The store is laid out logically and the shelves are stocked with darn near everything you could possibly need for brewing your next liquid masterpiece. In Ohio, at least one is able to homebrew 100 gallons or 200 if in a two person home. 200 gallons is 40 cases! That should last you a few weekends of serious binging. You have President Carter to thank for legalizing homebrewing in 1978. Use the Unilocal check in function to get 10% off your order!

I was recently able to learn how to make beer here with the knowledgeable instruction of the owners. It was a great class. I would have liked to be more involved in the process to learn better, but they really know there stuff! You can bring in any beer you want to try to make and if they aren’t familiar with it, they can figure out the recipe on taste alone. That’s pretty amazing! It seems expensive to start up, but if you are committed to making your own brew in the long run it’s much cheaper. It’s long process though. Table Top brewery has all the ingredients and supplies you need to make your favorite brew. And if they don’t, they can get it for you! If I choose to start brewing my own, I would definitely get my supplies here and talk with the guys here to pick their brain! Also there is a 10% discount for checking in on Unilocal

I’ve always wanted to make my own beer, but never knew how to get started. Part cooking, part science, the guys at Table Top will get you set up with all the necessities for homebrewing. In the back of the store, our group gathered around a long table as the owners explained the brewing process. Small containers of hops and barley were passed around for show. Two pots of ingredients boiled away as the process was demonstrated. Equipment was explained thoroughly, from siphons to thermometers. The sterilization process was covered as was proper storage of beer. Did you know that the darker brown bottles keep beer the most pure? Green bottled beers only give beer 4% protection from light rays. Clear bottles, nothing. The entire brewing process took about two hours and we each left with a growler of ale. The Brew-It-Yourself demonstration was a hit! We went home with packets and instructions on how to do more brewing ourselves. In addition to the demonstration, Table Top sells everything you would need to make your own beer: a perfect gift for the man(or ale-loving woman) in your life. Besides the equipment, the store stocks every flavor imaginable, including ciders and lambics. Ingredients for two gallons of beer costs only $ 13.00. That’s thirteen dollars for two whole gallons of beer! Even if beer isn’t your taste, there is something here for everyone. Table Top sells wine making kits as well as loose leaf teas. I’ll definitely be back to check those out! In their second year of business, the owners are proud to be leading the craft beer community in supplies and knowledge. These folks are super friendly and are a wealth of wisdom about brewing. Whether you’re a long-time homebrewer looking for something new to try, or someone just getting started, check out Table Top Brewing.
