Bourbon Street Bartending

As a guest at Kara C.‘s wedding, I was impressed with the grandiose bar Bourbon Street provided for her reception. I really liked their set up — they brought their own bar and it went with our green and wedding décor perfectly. The set up was fun and classy. These folks even went the extra mile to create themed drinks named after the bride’s cats (who, yes, were present in the wedding.)
I had several of the Meowdoris, a lime green, fruity cocktail made with Midori. This also matched the wedding décor. The Mancattan was a twist on the classic Manhattan, and a Mock MiMoses (named after her cat) was a non-​alcoholic mimosa for the sober drinkers. There was a little bit of something for everyone, plus the bar had everything else imaginable on tap too.
Creative, friendly, and delicious, Bourbon Street was a true joy to have at our celebration.

We hired Bourbon Street Bartending for our wedding in June ’12 and were very happy. We worked with John, the owner, and he made the process simple. I appreciated that he was flexible and was willing to switch out liquors/​beers in order to fit our signature drinks, preferences, etc. For example, most of my family doesn’t drink but they will occassionally drink a glass of moscato wine. He allowed us to switch out another white wine for moscato, despite it not being a choice. My family loved it! He also allowed us to have Moerlein OTR, yum!
There are several bar packages to choose from but we opted for the premium bar because we are drink snobs. This was perfect for us! There seems to be an option for every budget. Their prices were much more reasonable than most caterers that provide bar services. Each package starts at 4 hours but you can extend this if needed. Bourbon Street Bartending brings their own bar with them and it is nice looking. They will recommend the number of bartenders you will need and they all arrived dress professionally. I received several compliments from guests about the friendliness of the bartenders!
We wanted a couple signature drinks for our wedding named after our cats, because we’re crazy and all. John came up with some delicious drinks that impressed everyone. We had Bobby’s Mancattan (an interesting twist on a classic drink), Arlene’s Meowdori Madness (a sweet drink made with Midori in order to match our wedding color of lime green), and the Mock MiMoses (a non-​alcoholic Mimosa). I absolutely loved all of the drinks and have had friends ask what was in them so they can be recreated.
