Very professional, does a great job at a good price — perfect one stop shop for all locksmithing needs

Thanks to Avi and Leah, I was able to get home and am now typing this review.
I had an issue with my key not turning in the ignition, and I had to leave my car in Clifton overnight. I called their number, and Leah was really supportive and helpful. Instead of sending someone out and charging me extra, she offered the option of having the new key picked up at their office for $ 50. (Most car key copies are at least $ 100, if not more if you go through a dealership, which most people –including many locksmiths– insist that you do.)

We arrived and met Avi, who is also really nice and helpful. He made the key quickly, and told me to call back to let them know if it worked. I didn’t realize how incredibly worn down my old key was until he made me a new one. (I’m surprised my old key even worked for as long as it did!) I went back to Clifton, tried the key, and it didn’t work. I tried using WD-​40 and tapping the key, and it didn’t work. I became frustrated and worried that it would cost a lot to fix, but when I called back, Avi assured me that he’d come and look at it later on after he helped another customer.
Time went on and I became impatient and wanted to see if I could get someone else to come right then and see if the ignition was the problem. I called a place, and I received a base quote of $ 125 just for someone to come out and look at the car, but insinuating that it would become more costly if more parts were needed, etc. I called Avi and told him that I was thinking about going through another person, because I wanted it to be done before night so I could go home, and he convinced me to let him come out and look at it (which took him about 20 to 30 minutes out of his way to service my car).
I am SO HAPPY that I went through Avi! He worked on my car for 5 minutes or so, got it to work, and it wasn’t the ignition! And on top of that, he only charged me the service fee. This means that, for everything he provided, I was only paying the base amount I would have paid for someone to simply LOOK at the vehicle and tell me what they THOUGHT the problem was! On top of that, Avi and Leah are really cool people, they have fun personalities, and they’re very genuine. You can tell that they really care about what they do, and they understand when people are in unfortunate situations and try to help them as much as they can.

Excellent work! He repaired my Corolla’s ignition and made a spare key on the spot. He was fast and friendly. Avi knows exactly what he is doing and wastes no time, even while chatting. Lastly, he will save you money compared to dealers and others. In this case, you pay less and get quality service/​delightful company. He even guarantees his work!
I highly recommend him. Very cool guy!

My son lost his car keys at a rest stop while on a business trip in NY. He asked me to help him find a locksmith. I heard numerous horror stories about locksmiths ripping off customers and frankly didn’t trust anyone I called for quotes. I felt like I was getting a «runaround» from everyone I called. The quotes were either way over priced, or they would give me an «estimate» and tell me they had to see my car before they could give me a final price. (which meant that once they got there they would charge me an outrageous price) I had companies ask me for a credit card over the phone before they would even come out to my vehicle. I was getting very discouraged. Then I received a call from Automotive Key. I had called for a quote earlier and they said they would check with the technician. Leah (I think she was the business manager) was willing to listen to my concerns and fears of using a locksmith. She quoted me a flat rate, which was $ 20.00 under my lowest quote. I was still very skeptical about the whole experience of meeting a tech in a dark parking lot. My husband and son went with. The tech Avi called me about 15 mins before he was going to be there to confirm. He drove a van that clearly advertised who he worked for, so I felt a little better that it wasn’t a plain white van. Avi was very friendly and professional. He introduced himself and quickly got to work. He even had us laughing at some of his stories. When he was done he charged the exact amount I was quoted over the phone. No up charges, no games! I was so happy that there are good guys out there and that when I have a friend who needs a locksmith I will recommend this company. It is comforting to know that a company cares about the reputation of this industry to take the time a listen to my concerns. Thank you Automotive Key for your help! First, I took a shot by using Automotive Key because they had no reviews on Angie’s List. This was after doing all online research about how to replace keys and calling locksmiths on Angie’s List. The thing that got me is Avi specializes in automotive locksmithing, Boy, I could have not been more pleased from the initial call to the keys being made to me driving away in my car. Avi answered all my questions on the phone in a personable and professional manner where I could understand. Here’s the thing. I could tell from the conversation he really cared about providing me with great service whatever I needed and I could tell he had great passion and pride for his work. I actually got a cheaper quote from someone else but Avi told me he would match it because to him it was not about the money. Where do you ever here that these days? With that we scheduled to meet the following day. He called me when he was on his way and we meet at my vehicle. No towing your vehicle to the dealer Avi comes to you. He was waiting on me, very punctual! Greeting was very friendly. I was really impressed with what I saw. A clean organized work van. I mean everything had its place. I originally pictured in my mind a beat up work van with stuff every showing up. NOT the case here, He explained to me in detail how the process worked to make and program everything and then he got to work. First he made an access key to open the doors. We then choose what style key I wanted. No options like that offered from the dealer. Avi is the ONLY one in Cincinnati that has a «flip» key style key and remote in one for a Ford. In fact Ford doesn’t even make them. How cool is that. So I went from a plain key with a separate remote to the sweet all in one flip key. He then made the keys, programmed the transponders and remotes. Again he explained to me how everything was done. I watched him make the keys and program everything. At one point one of the new remotes was not working properly. Not a problem! Avi was not going to leave me with a problem. He took it all apart fixed it and test again, again and again to ensure no failures for me. Again, that’s how I know his passion and pride to do the job right. The funny thing is the local Hamilton township police department and the Morrow police department saw us and stopped by to have Avi cut keys for them at the same time for their cruisers. That’s trusted! I would use again and will not hesitate to recommended to anyone personally and professionally. Note: many options are much more costly. I got quotes anywhere from $ 50 to nearly $ 200 more from the dealer and other general locksmiths. I even got told a couple times that I must go to the dealer from various locksmiths. What? Not Avi! Big or small, difficult or not and even high security is not a problem. THANK YOU AVI. You made my day in a difficult and potentially overly costly situation.
