Cool place. Stumbled on it walking through the OTR. Cool hip joint. Loved the setup with the coffee bar up higher in the back. High ceilings, brick and wood. Nice vibe. And… the coffee was very good. They use Deeper Roots for their coffee(love those guys). Stop in.

Great place for a cute date night! We always stop in this place when we are waiting on a dinner reservations, the service is wonderful and the food/drinks are all reasonably priced. The buffalo mozzarella with pesto is delicious. We always get a couple flights of wine and they make it into a game having you guess which glass of wine is which. If you want a fun date night or need a place to kill a little time, this place is a great choice!

Nice little café along the strip with coffee, latte, wine and more to offer. Indoor and outdoor seating.

1215 has one-of-a-kind pour-over coffee options, coffee cocktails, and loose-leaf teas. Wine choices include sparkling, white, or red. Food menu offers simple small cheese plates, snacks, morning fare(available until 10 p. m), and desserts. The wood tables, chairs, and floor looks very organic, simple, and clean. I enjoyed spending time here and trying a pour-over decaf coffee, which tasted smooth, slightly rich and sweet. The atmosphere is mostly quiet but busy during the weekend evening, so finding a spot inside or the outdoor patio is great for a friend or two. I especially enjoyed sitting in this rectangular-shaped room filled with dark, wooden décor. Additionally, the location is stellar. I would visit again!

I like it here. If you are a coffee snob(like myself) they speak the language. If you are just a casual coffee drinker they got you covered too. That have some really interesting drinks which are fun, but also just unadulterated, good coffee. I am a fan of the kegged coffee. If you like cold brew for its smooth and caramel flavor you will love this! It’s brewed using a method called flash brewing and it’s basically an iced pour over that is then put in a keg to prevent oxidization(which causes bitterness). I get mine black to fully enjoy the depth of flavor(I’m usually a one cream, one sugar type girl).

I’ve only been here once before: two years ago, with a previous boyfriend and his friends for brunch. I was so nervous about getting carded that I didn’t really take in everything 1215 had to offer. Needless to say, I was carded and I did not get to enjoy a Bloody Mary. Fast forward to today– I came in, my new horizontal ID only a week old, and was ready to try some wine. The space is very beautiful. They have a wooden bar top, as well as tables both outside and inside. I sat at the bar, coming in by myself after working around 2:30. Jazz music plays lightly in the background, and customers were either quietly talking or on their laptops. Everything seemed to fit together smoothly and elegantly. The bartender/barista(bartendista?), Kasey, welcomed me with a wine and food menu. Their coffee offerings are written on a large chalkboard in the back of the restaurant. I asked her what she liked coffee-wise, and suggested a white chocolate latte with lavender syrup added in. I decided on that, and it was honestly the best latte I’ve ever had. The lavender wasn’t too strong, and it felt like the perfect spring coffee. I stayed for quite a while to read, and a little later I asked if they had any Malbec, which I didn’t see on the menu they gave me. Kasey asked another bartender and he found a bottle of french Malbec. He poured a sample first, to make sure I’d like it, then poured the rest. It was really good, but I should have asked for the price. When I received my check, the wine was $ 12. I’m sure that’s a pretty common price, but I think next time I’ll ask for a cheaper one. The latte, however, was only $ 4.80. What a steal. If i want wine, I think I’ll come back during Happy Hour(4 – 7), when glasses of wine are $ 2 off. But otherwise, I’ll be here quite frequently to read in their cute outside section and try more coffee.

Yes, Yes, and Yes. If you want to come and unwind after a long day and enjoy a hot coffee and cool glass of wine, this is the place to go. I ordered the cappuccino which was amazing. Their coffee truly hits the spot. We had just finished dinner at Bakersfield and I needed a pick me up! We then moved onto a nice cabernet sauvignon from Sonoma which was exactly what I needed after a long day of drinking cheap beer and eating chips and salsa! The lighting is low and the music is soothing. The staff is very kind and cheerful as well.

I consider 1215 to be a great«on the way to something else» stop. The drinks are good, the food is appetizer-y and the service ranges from above average to awesome. You will be disappointed if you come for dinner, it’s more of a wine flight and bread with olive oil stop, so come when you are waiting two hours for Bakersfield or after a scrumptious sidewalk binge turtle from Gomez. I highly recommend the wine flights. You get 3 generous pours and as a fun twist, they number the glasses and leave you with a card to first guess which wine is which and then check your taste buds with the answer sheet. A big bonus to this cozy café bar is that they often have live music, but it is always an enhancement to the atmosphere. The musicians perform jazz or classical tunes that send a clam vibe around the place, not a teeth grinding, butt vibrating rock concert that you have to shout over to converse. While this place quickly fills up on the weekends, a Working Woman’s Wednesday night or Thirsty Thursday will accommodate a group of four without much issue. Definitely worth a trip.

Very warm ambience at 1215. My friend got an espresso with Baileys and I ordered a glass of rosé. The reason we came here after dinner is because it was a recommendation for desert online. They only have 3 options on the menu. We ordered a crème brûlée and a chocolate crème. They arrived almost immediately after we ordered them confirming that they are pre-made. I wasn’t a huge fan of the chocolate crème. However, the crème brûlée was wonderful. The staff were laid back and friendly and there were other customers there with their laptops doing work while enjoying spiked coffee. I choose privately owned coffee shops over a chain any day. My only request is that they offer a few more things on the menu in regards to food/snacks.

Perfect little slice of European café heaven. I come here for day time meet ups and their Tuesday/Thursday Jazz nights to just spend some time out by myself. Super classy and endearing, I just can’t get enough. The only reason I choose other coffee shops on occasion is if I need to spread out more or want more privacy than the cozy seating here can provide.

A wine bar with a coffee lab, need I say more? I can’t comment on the wines, it was early and I was in the mood for caffeine. No wine for me. I know you’re shocked, right? I ordered a reasonably priced, iced Losantiville and sat at the bar. It was a strong coffee, so I was happy when I learned that the sugars and cream were along the bar, across from the bar. I didn’t see any sort of mocha options on the menu board… mainly expresso and coffee. This gem is locationed in the Over The Rhine area, nestled amongst several other restaurants and bars. One of the restaurants nearby was on a 3 hour wait, so we were happy to discover a few seats available at the bar, here at 1215. We were only there long enough to finish our coffees and it had already started to get crowded and people were waiting behind us, for an available seat… no rush though. It was a Saturday in February that reached over 70 degrees, so people were coming out of the woodwork.

I have been here a few times in the past couple of weeks and I am really loving it. The wine by the glass is reasonably priced and their flights(haven’t ordered one myself) seem like the best deal. The servers are courteous and respectful — even when I had to take a phone call right before I ordered. I like that you can seat yourself but their is also service. I wish I would have found this little spot sooner! I am dying to sit outside but it’s a popular place. The front of the space is all windows, so there is nice natural light and good people watching opportunities. But you can also hide away at the bar. The wine by the bottle is reasonable — especially on Mondays when they don’t have a corking fee! That’s definitely the way to go if you can split a bottle with someone. The coffee is great too — many choices and well prepared. I recently ordered the bread and oil — the bread was great but I loved the truffle oil the most, yum! It was perfect. What a great little spot to grab a drink while you wait for your table at one of the overly crowded restaurants, or even to spend an hour in the afternoon.

What a cool concept! I love that you can get wine and coffee in the same place! They also have whiskey and liquors that you can add to your coffee. I came here on a very cold Sunday and bought a Peppermint Latte and it was fantastic! Not overly sweet or powerful. The barista(or bartender) was awesome and super friendly. This would be a great place to bring a laptop and work for the day.

I always pop into 1215 Wine Bar & Coffee Lab when I need a low key place. As the name suggests they do both wine and coffee. And they do both well! I typically get wine when I visit, and I’m always able to find something to my taste, even though the flights change frequently. My one complaint is that when they have a live musician(which have always been amazing artists), it is a bit loud for the small space.

Daytime review: great space, killer service, and tasty food and drink(mostly). Good for writing as well! As part of my summer weekly writing tour of Cincinnati, a friend and I decided to try this place. She had been there for an evening drink so she knew its inviting nature. I personally loved the wood work inside. I love older buildings and furniture because they make you feel connected to a history of experiences in a place. This space definitely had that effect. I also liked how they were dog friendly. Several folks brought them up to the outdoor seating space or even inside. I even took a picture of one who was too cute! I got a peach blend iced coffee. I didn’t care for the taste plain so I(unsuccessfully) added(too much) simple syrup. My friend mentioned my mishap to one of the staff and she brought over more coffee to try to help. Unfortunately it turned out that I just didn’t care for the coffee. I didn’t end up drinking much in total. My friend on the other hand went full out blueberry themed for her tea and a scone. Both were amazing. Real blueberries(which is crucial to someone from Maine like me). The scone was nice and buttery too. Next time: going to go more conventional with my drink.

We stopped in here for a pre-dinner drink and appetizer while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. They offer by-the-glass pours of wine plus 3 wine tasting flights and bottles. The bottles are sold at state minimum + $ 10 corkage so a good deal. I tried a flight of sparkling wines and really enjoyed it. My husband got a single glass of red and the pour was disappointingly small. We also shared an order of burrata, which was served with toasted bread and pesto. The cheese was more firm than I expected, very close to a mozzarella vs. a little more creamy. The pesto was nice, but I think a sweet accompaniment would have worked better(e.g. local honey, grilled fruit, etc). The server was hard to track down when we were ready to leave, but when we grabbed her, she quickly rang us out and we were able to head right to our next destination. It’s a nice place to wait out an OTR restaurant table, but I think I would stick to just having a drink. Our bill for one glass of wine, 1 wine flight and one simple appetizer was around $ 45, which I didn’t feel was worth it.

A very cute and chic chill outs spot in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle of OTR. They have a pretty good selection of wines, I wasn’t a huge fan of the menu items so I asked for something else and she informed me that there was a full selection outside of the menu. The pours were nice but next time I think I will just buy the bottle($ 20ish) vs spending $ 10 on one glass. Then I can have all I want! Not a wine drinker? No worries they have a large selection of coffee, tea and beer as well. They even have a small pastry/lunch selection so you don’t go drinking on an empty stomach. Grab a seat at the bar or my personal fav by the window and sip and people watch the day/night away!

How have I not ventured into this place until now? Came here after dinner at Bakersfield and finding out that Holtman’s closes at 2 on Monday(wtf?!?). It was quiet and not very crowded when we entered but we opted to sit at the bar. I am by no means into wine and far from a wine snob so I cast glanced at that menu while the bartender(is that the title for a person that pours wine and has a plethora of knowledge on the subject?) chatted us up. I opted for a dark chocolate latte which was great, one of the best I’ve ever had. The barista and bartender were so friendly and helpful which really helped this place feel much less intimidating. They even talked to us about the origins of some of the wines they carry. I will definitely be back for a flight and maybe a cheese plate.

We ran into 1215 Wine Bar & Coffee Lab because it was raining when we were walking around OTR, and I needed somewhere to hang out until it stopped. I’m so glad we did! We loved the atmosphere inside, and even though the tables are pretty tight together it wasn’t too crowded. We decided to sit up at the bar which I think was a good choice because we seemed to get a lot more attention than the people sitting at the tables. We ordered pour over coffees, just the house brew($ 2 a cup), because I didn’t really want to spend $ 3 or more on a cup of coffee. The roast was amazing, and because they do a pour over it was super fresh. I would come back again! To be fair… I still like Coffee Emporium coffee better. But this place is great.
