I have had the opportunity to have been here twice and both times my expectations were exceeded both by the food and the service. The menu has plenty to choose from and they go an extra step in their GF offerings. Highly recommend as a destination restaurant in OKC.

A good spot! The food is consistently good, and they are always trying cool flavor and preparation styles for their specials. Last night I got the beef pad Thai which was not the brussel sprout salad I went in thinking I was ordering(which is also so good). And I really enjoyed it, a bit spicy for me but good combo of flavor. Plus I like the raised booth seating around the perimeter. Don’t like the parking overflow make you think it’s full… there really just isn’t any parking next to the building, go up the ramp and make your way back to a great table.

Food: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 5⁄5 Great addition to the North Western/Classen Curve area. My favorite so far is the«Jumbo Lump Crab, English muffin, poached egg, jumbo lump crab, topped with Hollandaise sauce» AKA their version of crab cakes. I also tried the West club sandwich with Onion Rings and it was delicious as well, however not as good as the crab cakes. Great environment, outdoor seating, modern décor, 5⁄5 overall.

The bar is always a good experience. Lots of locals. The pizza flatbread changes daily. Good wine by the glass choices.

My original review was deleted by Unilocal – anyway sticking to the food – you can make it at home and it’ll be just as good. You can get better brunch pretty much anywhere in OKC. The service is blah. The food is blah.

The food was promising. But that’s all it was … No service for so long. We got a little fed up and decided to go somewhere else … Maybe next time… But, they made for it big time. They saw the problem, fixed it and dinner turned out great

I’m not normally indecisive but I am when I visit West for dinner. They have developed a menu that pushes me to a last minute decision because the choices are all tempting. This starts with an interesting cocktail, beer and wine menu. Their old fashion is one of my favorites in OKC. The West dips are a great way to start the meal and don’t pass up the freshly baked bread. They will deliver it piping hot to your table. I tried to talk my fifteen year old son into going back to the kitchen to ask for the recipe so we could make it at home. He thought I was nuts. The salads are excellent. The brussel sprout salad is a favorite of mine while my wife leans toward the house salad. Both with interesting twists such as dried apricots with the brussel sprouts and fried chick peas in the house salad. The entrees are all very good. I’ve had the Ahi, Redfish, Meatloaf and Stuff Portobello. All are excellent but my favorite is the redfish… moist, mild, tender and seasoned with cancun spices. The meatloaf is a delicious mix of beef and pork but could use a little more seasoning for my taste. No big deal. For dessert, don’t miss the deconstructed key lime pie. I’ll go back just for that. The service has gone from a little clumsy at our first visit to seamless and professional. My only suggestion is that the entrees follow too closely on the heels of the salad. Our meals there have felt just a little rushed. The décor is hip, warm and welcoming. The parking can seem like a major challenge at first glance but don’t miss the two large lots up the hill to the east of the restaurant.

Came here for dinner. 1st impression: classical music, calm waiting staff, darker lighting, classier feel, draws in local business men/women. Food served hot, looks delicious, comfortable atmosphere. Lots of gf options on the menu!!!

Had a very good brunch at West on a Sunday morning. I was expecting good food, but to be honest, I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. I arrived at West with some friends around 11 on a Sunday. They were doing a brisk business, but it was never close to full. We sat in a comfortable booth with a great view of a large TV. The patio looked good as well, but it was raining off and on, so that wasn’t an option. We were approached immediately by our server for our drink orders, which was great. After that, service wasn’t spectacular. Our server was very friendly, but at one point he forgot a beer for one in our party, and it took around 10 minutes to finally flag him down and remind me. Also, it took a little while longer than it should to get the check. But, these are nitpicky things, overall, he was friendly, we were given our food promptly, and he was mostly on top of things. To eat, I went with the chicken fried steak breakfast. West uses tenderloin for their chicken fries, which I’ve not had before. The breakfast comes with a good size biscuit, 2 eggs, gravy, and their potato cake. The potato cake is a thin layer of shredded potatoes that is bound together, seasoned, and crisped on the griddle. And, it’s fantastic. It’s basically a patty of hash browns, but they get a textbook crispy exterior and fluffy potatoes on the interior. Fantastic. Likewise, the biscuit was strong. It was warm, easily came apart, and was fluffy but not so airy that it felt like nothing. The gravy was standard pepper cream gravy. Seasoned very well, which I find is an issue with gravy. You get a nice portion of gravy, easily enough to cover the biscuit and steak and have some leftover. The steak was exactly what is advertised. It is clearly hand breaded, and while the breading did not adhere well to the meat, it had a nice crunchy exterior and was also seasoned well. The steak was fork tender, they pound the meat flat but you still get a good sized steak. It went fantastic with the gravy. Some people may balk at playing $ 22 for a chicken fried steak breakfast, but this is a large breakfast, made with quality ingredients, and served hot and fresh. Highly recommended, and I will be making the drive from Norman to eat this meal again.

Had a business lunch there today. First time visitor and looking to eat light. We had everything at the table from chicken fried steak dinner to spinach salad. Great comments from all parties and my salad Wes excellent. Don’t forget to check out the specials. Had a chilled gazpacho soup that was exceptional. Plenty to choose from on the menu with very good service to back it up.

We frequent West almost weekly now and have always had a good experience. Their menu has a good range of options, including gluten-free & vegetarian/vegan selections that are delicious. My favorite is the Kale Salad — absolutely divine — and the bf likes getting their Airline Chicken or their Filet. We usually sit at the bar — the bartenders are friendly, take good care of you & make good drinks.

The service at West is the reason for the 3 stars. The food deserves 4 stars but the service felt rushed and clumsy. That said I enjoyed the meal. The food was good and I liked the combination of flavors in the dishes. I will definitely dine at West again, but hope they can improve their service.

I must start coming here more often! Every time I come it’s great and I always recommend it, but I myself don’t come enough. I came on Sunday for a bridal shower hosted for my sister. We had a big long table out on the patio and enjoyed a great lunch and beautiful weather. I have a soft spot for patio dining! We started with zucca chips for the table(amazing and kind of healthy) and some bellini martinis! The martini was a little sweet and had rum in it which I’m not really a fan of. I had order envy for the mojitos that other guests got! I went with the brussel sprout salad for my main. Shaved brussels, dried apricots, slivered almonds and parmesan. It was highly recommend but a bit of a let down. Great components but it needed a little zing or something in the dressing. It was lacking flavor! Service was great, the bar is beautiful. I can’t wait to be a full time OKC resident so I can come more often!

Mmm, love me some West! Everything about this place is great — food, service, atmosphere… let me explain: The food is fabulous — the zuccha chips(super thinly sliced zucchini fried and served with a creamy dipping sauce) are to die for! The risotto and steak is fantastic, and my personal absolute favorite is the chicken pot pie. Warm, filling, hearty and delicious, it just doesn’t get any better than this. They also have cotton candy or warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert :) The service has always been great, and when we’ve had birthdays or something was wrong, they might just give you dessert on the house! The atmosphere is nice — a little more dressy than some places in OKC, but you can still get away with nice jeans. They have a nice long booth where they can accommodate large groups(up to 14 probably) and they have a patio that would be excellent when it’s nice outside. Parking is a little limited, but there’s an overflow lot that’s up a ramp but not too far away. In summary, this is one of the first places I recommend — you really need to try it out!

I’ve been to West a couple times, and the food is good. The zucchini noodles keep me coming back! I typically eat gluten-free, and it is amazing to see a restaurant offer a healthy alternative to pasta. While I really like West’s dinner, the star is the brunch! I ordered the classic eggs benedict sans english muffin, and it was absolutely delicious!

I wish I could give West 4.5 stars. We had a really great experience there and will probably be back, but had just a few bumps off the rating. First of all, I LOVE the décor and feel of this place. I want to decorate my house like this. It’s gorgeous. The bar display is really pretty, and it’s just all around a really nice atmosphere. Some people mentioned the clientele here seems snobby — well, you are in Nichols Hills, so you can’t be too surprised. No one around us seemed rude and our server was very friendly, so we were happy. We had a bottle of wine and started with the crab cakes, which came with a really nice sauce. I started with a house salad with the basil vinaigrette(really different from anything I’ve had but really good… I could eat basil by itself though), and my boyfriend had the potato leek soup. Having worked in these restaurants for years, we are pretty biased to Charleston’s baked potato soup. He liked this better, which I didn’t think was possible. It was better in that it had more potato flavor than butter and cream flavor.(I am NOT dogging on Charleston’s baked potato soup here. But you know it has so much unhealthy stuff in it to make it taste that good! Haha) It was very very good and I was wishing I’d gotten some. I had the 5 oz. tenderloin with the bleu cheese and red wine topping, and my boyfriend had the NY strip. This is kind of where the half a star got knocked off… my food was very good; the steak was slightly overcooked, but still a tender piece of meat so I still really enjoyed it. We just felt like it was a bit overpriced. $ 36 for a 5 oz. tenderloin, and I think the 14 oz. strip was $ 32… I understand a tenderloin is a nicer cut of meat, and I was nowhere near hungry afterward, but it just seemed pricey for such a small amount of meat compared to something almost three times the size. Having said that, the bleu cheese crust was delicious and the red wine gastrique… amazing. I soaked up every bit of it with my steak and potatoes. We finished with the salted caramel brownie, which was to die for. Also topped with a homemade Crunch bar(I didn’t know such things were possible) which was REALLY good, but also really rich with the brownie, caramel and ice cream, and kind of frozen from the ice cream so hard to break up and eat. The caramel was absolutely delicious though. I’m so down with the salted caramel trend, and this dessert was fabulous. They also bring out a complimentary spool(if that’s the right word?) of cotton candy, which we thought was a really nice touch. It’s so different, unique and memorable. And it tasted good! I was pretty full from eating most of the brownie by myself(don’t judge me), but my boyfriend really liked the cotton candy. We were really impressed with West overall! I think we can add this to our list of splurge-worthy restaurants and come back sometime.

The patrons here sure do have sticks up their butts. Service is friendly, but our server was practically whispering to us when she spoke. The food was decent, but as most reviews have mentioned, it’s overpriced for what they offer. I had the salmon salad with their chilled tomato soup. I think my favorite part of the meal was the bread. It was super buttery, but it tasted great when dipped into the soup. The grapefruit juice tasted really fresh, but it was extremely sour. I had a bite of my friend’s brussel sprouts salad and corn chowder soup, and I wish I had just gotten that instead! Though both soups were good, the brussel sprouts tasted a lot better than the salad that came with my salmon. I didn’t feel very comfortable dining here because the people who eat here have a staring problem, but I would give it another shot because at least soup & salad are good here, and those aren’t too expensive.

West was a great spot in Oklahoma City. I was there in my soccer jersey and jeans sitting at the bar next to what appeared to be a bunch of oil tycoons… either that or it was just a bunch of old men in suits drinking and loudly talking about how much the price per barrel was… boring. Anyway, the food at West was great. I had the vegan nachos which I ordered off the menu… they were once on there, but I guess in OKC, saying the word Vegan is a turn off. They were incredible and interesting. I had never had vegan nachos made int he traditional 6 chips on a plate method. And they were also kindof sweet with the caramelized onions on it. Unique and great. I also had brussels sprouts salad, which I have to tell you was surprisingly the best I’ve ever had. The sprouts weren’t deep fried as far as I could tell. I think they were blanched and tossed with lighter fruit, etc to make a nice, not-heavy salad. Usually brussels sprouts are grossly over fried and spicy. This was not. I would absolutely recommend that salad to anyone. It was great! The service was awesome. The bartender was super informed and chill… just a cool guy who knew where to go in town to get great coffee. If you live in Oklahoma City and haven’t been here yet, you need to go.

This place took a few times to grow on us due to their eclectic menu, but now that’s one thing I love about it – we are loyal fans! The brussel sprout salad and vegan nachos are so freaking delicious. They also have Johnny’s hamburgers, since they share the same ownership. You can ask for the burger/sandwich menu for dinner, if that’s a craving. We’ve always had excellent service. Very helpful, attentive, and timely. Our food has consistently been good, I cant’ think of a disappointment, and we’ve been here a lot. Their patio is awesome – they have a small fire pit surrounded by tables, they also have umbrellas for a super sunny day. Their large back room can accommodate events and parties, just book in advance. The dining rooms are designed with a modern, clean and simple feel, which creates a nice feel. West can get a bit more crowded later in the evening, but if you go for a 5:30/6:00p dinner, we have never encountered a wait. And Chef Eric often features unique dinner specials and desserts, he has kept us coming back!
