This was a bit of a random stop but we decided to check out the College Softball World Series while it was in town. They really go all out for it — there are tons of people tailgating, in RVs, etc. in the parking lot, and things were so crowded we parked over in the casino lot, which was free with shuttles running over. There is a big setup outside with exhibits. The tickets situation seemed confusing but we just walked up to the guard and they pointed us to a small trailer where we bought standing room only tickets to the evening session, for $ 20. We wound up being able to sit down though, and were in a great spot behind home plate. I think there is only a small reserved area. There was a pretty good crowd though, mostly full even if it thinned out at the very end. There were a pretty good amount of people from the different schools, who get very into it, which adds a lot of atmosphere. I don’t know a whole lot about the rules of softball but it is definitely a little different. Maybe a little expensive but free parking at the casino and very reasonable concessions helped on the price. Don’t think there was any beer, though.
