I walked in wearing my jeans and a T-Shirt. I guess they figured I was going to rob the place. I walked into the humidor and was followed by the owner. No offer of help or a hello or anything. he just stood there and stared at me. I asked if they had any Alec Bradley Cigars. he very abruptly said«NO!!!» I thanked him and left. I’ve been buying my cigars online and thought I might change that. Not with service like that. I’ll tell everyone… If you’re not in a suit beware!!!

I had a similar experience to Jeff B., though it was lunchtime during the week and as I work downtown, I was dressed in business attire. I don’t think it matters. The owner still followed me into the humidor and watched my every move. He asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. As I worked in a cigar store for a couple of years during college, I like a variety of sticks and have some idea what I’m doing(though I don’t really smoke that often anymore). I really just wanted to take a look at all he had, but he basically rushed me by just standing there the whole time and it just seemed like he wanted me to leave. Maybe since I’m under 50 he thinks I’m just going to steal whatever I can or something. It was all very uncomfortable and weird. Things didn’t get any better when I paid with a credit card. The mean-mugging only intensified. It is convenient to be able to go grab a stick or two downtown over your lunch break, but after multiple chances for redemption, I’m afraid through with this place. There are nicer people in town to deal with(R&K, Tobacco Exchange), if somewhat less convenient for the downtowner.

The central and south sides of OKC are lacking a quality tobacco shop. Really, it’s not their faults. These places need to make money to survive and it appears that in this part of town you have to be half cigar shop and half something else. At least this place chose to be half convenience store and not half head shop. The selection isn’t amazing, but it’s not terrible. Get a list of about ten cigars you’d be happy with and they’ll have a couple. Sure, it’s more expensive than the online shops, but I can’t walk in and buy one stick online either. The hours open aren’t great. Unfortunately, the slim hours are to be expected for a shop in downtown OKC.

Closed on Saturday?! No schedule on the door?! This is absolutely not acceptable!
