Therapy a Paint and Sip Boutique

I won a gift card for a painting class for two at Therapy from an event last summer but didn’t use it until this past Friday night. This is partially due to the fact that I kept forgetting about it, but also I am not a fan of most of their painting selections. When I remembered about it back in January, I decided to check it out for February for something my boyfriend and I could do together. The only choice I liked was a couples painting on the day before Valentine’s Day, so I knew I had to register for that one!
The boutique is super cute, if you enjoy that kind of place. They had a sale going on but their prices are exactly what you expect for a boutique: super over-​priced. Needless to say, I didn’t purchase anything.
For the class itself, we enjoyed ourselves. The instructor, however, wasn’t all that helpful. We were doing a pretty simple painting but when I’ve taken a class like this before, the instructor was very hands on. I suppose I had higher expectations. I liked that Therapy is BYOB, but it is only that. They do not sell alcohol on premise, so come prepared!

I bought an Amazon Local voucher for this. I called to schedule my appointment. I drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there. When my son and I showed up for our 7 pm class the lady at the counter apologized and said the webiste had the wrong time and the class didn’t start until 7:30 She said they were a party group and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said no because we were already there and drove a long way. She told me the group coming in that evening was going to be a really rowdy group. I asked why they didn’t tell me that sooner. She apoliogized and gave me a gift card for two free passes but I sensed she was trying to rush me out the door and I did not feel welcome at this point. I took the gift card and we left. I’m not sure if I will go back and redeem my voucher now or not.
