The Warwick

This apartment was not at all what I thought it was going to be. I am very disappointed/​furious with the maintenance staff, the leasing agents, and the apartments themselves. My boyfriend and I moved in December 2015. From the day of our move in until now there have been multiple problems. Not knowing beforehand the washer and dryer wasn’t working, we moved in thinking everything was good to go. That was a lie. The washer and dryer didn’t work for a good TWO weeks after we moved in. When they finally got that fixed, they messed up the electrical wiring to our dishwasher and garbage disposal. That took another week and a half to have fixed. Also, we were told the staircase was in the process of being updated and fixed because It is wobbly and pieces of it are coming apart. That still has not happened. There have been multiple occasions where I have come inches from falling down the entire stair case and I am 3 months pregnant!!! Also, my boyfriends truck was broken into along with 15 others in the complex. When we told the office their response was «We know». They haven’t taken any extra precautions to prevent another event like that from happening. LASTLY– they have been tacking on an extra $ 65 dollars in water bills plus an extra $ 20 for «City» water onto our monthly rent. That’s an extra $ 85 every month when they stated all water fees etc. were included in the Monthly Rent. When my boyfriend asked the office why we were being charged these extra fees he was told they divide the water up between all the residents. THEY DON’T HAVE METERS. How do they know how much water I use compared to my neighbor? They don’t. I am fed up and done with this complex. I hope anyone that’s thinking about moving here will rethink after seeing this. I am not exaggerating when I say it is an unsafe place to live, and a rip off for what you pay monthly.

My husband and I moved into The Warwick in July 2014 and are currently still living here. Since the summer of 2015 the management has changed hands twice. We decided to renew our lease in the hopes for some better changes. There are a lot of problems, but the big ones for me are our tub dripping, bugs, and feral cats. We are currently looking for a better place.
When we did the initial move in check I noticed that the tub has a pretty good drip and was told that they would have someone fix it. Its been about 1 ½ years and it has not been fixed. We put in multiple requests to the office about it. We pay for water, the drip keeps my bathroom wet and moldy (allergies!), and the tub and shower curtains are stained red! There are so many different kinds of bugs that I find in my apartment. I have actually gotten used to it because I find them so often. I got to know the pest control guys since I put in so many requests. They told me its nothing to worry about and its fine and normal, but I don’t know about that. The main ones are HUGE @** asian roaches that are black and shiny… gag. Big pill bugs, red ants, spiders, and beetles. My biggest disgust with this place is the F-​ing CATS!!! I officially hate cats right now because of living in this place! We have seen multiple generations of cats. There are so many cats that I open my door and I can smell their feces. They like to defecate in the dirt next to my A/​C unit so that I stop breathing when I pass it and at night its a whole different story! The bugs feast on the pile of s**t so all I see is a mound of black shiny stuff moving! Just this week we picked up a huge, wet, pile of s**t next to our car from a cat who used the pot hole filled with gravel as a litter box! Another reason why I HATE cats right now is because they gave us fleas! We live on the ground floor and when we first moved in here we had no furniture and were sitting on the ground — its not pleasant getting flea bites in your pants! The office asked us if we had pets… NO! Then they told us that the pest control guys spray wont kill fleas and that we’d have to pay to have a special treatment done! We ended up taking care of it ourselves, but these are just a few of the reasons why I HATE CATS right now! Done vent…
