My gf brought me here after we had dinner. For a Sunday night, it’s packed! They only serve import beer(love!) and mixed drinks. She had a couple margaritas, and I had cherry carrera. So. Much. Yum. The music is great! Loud, but great! The drinks are strong and a decent price. The owner was there working and he couldn’t be nicer. It does get loud, so be prepared. Oh, and there’s only one bathroom. One tiny bathroom. Overall, this place is really great, and I can’t wait to come again!(People watching is the BEST here!)

I literally have Sunday brunch here every weekend. The service is great, it’s a great place to come have mimosas with your breakfast. The cream cheese crepes with the brunch potatoes are the most amazing thing. It would have to be to eat it religiously once a week. The Sunrise Sandwich is also amazing. The cibatta bread with the particular kind of sausage they use is great. They have gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. I love their ‘hippie juice’ drink. Southern comfort, with malibu, pineapple juice, and a few other ingredients compliment anything you eat. My friends always get the biscuits debris and the breakfast burritos and love them so much! The wait staff is incredible. The bartenders are great. There isn’t one person that walks by without making sure all of your needs are taken care of. I love and cherish this as my all time favorite breakfast spot in the Paseo area.

How is it that I’m just now writing a review for The Other Room? It’s divey and small, save for the back porch which is perfect for a group event. In fact, it’s my coworkers favorite meeting spot when we all want to get together. The Jack and Coke is well mixed and my personal fave while I’m here. Space inside is extremely limited, so if you’re with a small group or more, expect to be on the patio(which is admittedly a great patio!)

TOR is one of my go-to brunch spots. There was a bit of a wait for food today but it was tasty as usual. Mimosa set up is a must. Staff was friendly and attentive even though they were busy. I look forward to eating here again soon.

I have not dined at this location, however the cocktails and staff are delightful. I have enjoyed several different spirits at The Other Room, but always find myself yearning for a Pimm’s Cup. It is a refreshing old world cocktail, perfect for a summer evening or spring brunch.

Good music. Good food. Nice staff. The Other Room is a smoky little bar that’s tied to the Picasso Café. I wanted brunch so I arrived at Picasso at about 11:30. The place was packed. I like a little elbow room when having brunch so I went next door to The Other Room. I don’t mind the smoke. And it really wasn’t all that smoky. The bar top was a bit high for my taste so I sat at a table. I could tell one of the bartenders was new and he was a bit of a mute. There was another bartender there who was friendly-ish. Since it was my first time there and I let them know this fact, I assumed they’d be a bit MORE friendly. But it was fine. Maybe they were just hungover from the night before that they were all talking about. The food was pretty good. Can’t really judge too much from one dish. The Mimosa was very good. The coffee was very good as well. I also enjoyed the music choice and the movies that were playing on the tv. That movie with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah was on. It made me LOL some. Not sure if this will be my brunch stop from now on or anything, but I did enjoy myself.

Had the Country Breakfast for Brunch. Scrambled eggs were really runny. White gravy is ok. Biscuits were good. Potatoes were good. Bacon was good. Bloody Mary’s were excellent & recommend trying if you like them. Staff was very friendly to me. Also were very accommodating.

Some people like it for its ambience. Some like it for its amazing and super dedicated staff. Some like it for its patio or for the food from next door. Most like it because their friends like it and they want to drink at a bar where they are going to run into like minded individuals on any given night. If you don’t like TOR then we’re probably not friends. I read a lot of the other reviews before I decided to write mine. I saw more than one that hated The Other Room but then praised the Hilo in an odd and unexpected twist. But the more I thought about it the more I realized, I’m not that surprised. I’ve never felt that comfortable walking into the Hilo. It seems to have a slightly older crowd of regulars, many of whom have clearly been drinking and hanging out together in the same room for 10 or 20 years. I didn’t move to Oklahoma City until 2007 and didn’t really go to bars until a few years after that. I guess I missed out on some of that. But when I walk into TOR I get a good feeling. I know people there. They know and like me. Yes it’s a smoking bar and it’s tiny so you’re going to smell like smoke. But I smoke and so do most of my friends so I’m in good company. Yes there’s only one bathroom. But I’ve met a lot of nice people and had some decent conversation waiting in line for that bathroom. And to the girl who had a problem with the lock … Maybe you had a few too many and forgot how to work a door. I’ve never had a problem locking the door and I’ve frequented for years. On a side note, most of the time if I have to go really bad and can’t wait forever I will just pop over to Picasso’s and use their bathroom. It’s the same people. So technically TOR has three bathrooms to choose from most of the time. The music is … Whatever. I don’t care so much about that I’m not there to dance. The only complaint I have is the heat in the warm months. I am a hot blooded guy and sometimes I’m alone in my temperature comfort zone. Most people seem to be pretty ok with the temp. Ok one more teeny tiny thing, I would love a tall can of cider like a strongbow or a crispen. The hornsbys baby bottle and the angry orchard elderflower don’t really satiate my cider needs. I love absolutely everything else about this place though. If we’re friends then I’ll see you there. And if we’re not then go f*** yourself. Love you TOR.

I absolutely HATE this place. Worst bar I have ever been to with(is it even possible?) even WORSE staff. I never post reviews because I’ve worked in the food industry and know it can be stressful and people can be idiots to deal with serving, but this definitely calls for review. I grew up in Oklahoma but am now living in Los Angeles. My boyfriend lives in OKC and is a regular here several nights a week. Keep in mind, this bar is everyone’s favorite bar to go to in my group of OKC friends because it’s in the Paseo, it’s close, and they like the vibe. I had high hopes when we got there to experience this great bar my friends have been raving about. Around 1:30am they start screaming at everyone to(and I quote), «GETTHEFUCKOUT.» Um… it’s 1:30. I believe your line should be «last call» and wait, why are you spitting on my face screaming at me so violently? As everyone is herded outside there are people trying to chug their beers at the bar prior to being kicked to the street before the bar is even closed(can you blame them? Spend $ 7 on a beer to have it taken away at 1:40am? No thanks). I was one of these people trying to finish my beer ASAP. As my boyfriend is waiting, all of the bartenders are conversing and joking with him. He then goes out front to have a smoke while I finish up and another bartender behind the counter walks over to me and says, «You’ve had plenty of time, bitch, get the fuck out» before she slams her hand up under the beer I AMCURRENTLYDRINKING and spills it all over me busting my lip before ripping the can from my hand. I can’t believe this place is even still open with that kind of treatment. It pisses me off even more to think that had she known I was there with one of her favorite regulars she might have treated me like a human being. I have been to a lot of bars all over OKCAND Los Angeles and have never experienced anything as disgusting as this place as far as the bartender’s attitudes go. There is some pretty horrendous service in LA County and this place ranks #1 in the absolute worst service I have ever been unlucky enough to come across. Now when I visit OKC I refuse to go to The Other Room with my friends, we find somewhere else to go. NOTE: The rude ones were girls(didn’t have a bad experience with any male bartenders).

I’m only giving this place 3 stars because of the sometimes decent food that comes from Picasso’s. When it gets busier, and Security(see: reject jailors) shows up, it’s one giant douche-pile. The place becomes a zoo, they haven’t played decent music in years, and you’re wishing you were someplace else, like the Hi-Lo, instead of being stuck in a cesspool of smelly bearded hipsters. Sure, Wayne Coyne might show up with his town-bike of a girlfriend, so feel free to revel in all that bag of suck. However, despite the repugnant hipsters and Security, I’ll be damned if Carrie doesn’t make good drinks. If you do have to, go in early and ask for a Vesper.

All we wanted to do was come here and celebrate the fact that its Friday! We’re teachers and little did we know the bartender would have the same attitude as our apathetic students. Other than that the drinks are great and the atmosphere reminds me of home!

The Other Room is a place I end up a lot. I have«mad check-ins» here and I don’t even remember checking in most the time. ;) Why do I come here? Because my friends are here mostly, the patio in the back is great when you can find a seat, I can order pizza from Picasso’s or anything else for that matter. The drinks are either really tasty or really strong and sometimes both. The music is usually pretty good and they play the Thunder games on the TV here.(Once I even ran into a Thunder, player it was funny to see someone who is like 7 feet tall try to blend into a crowd.) What I wish could change? I wish it was like 3 times the size it is, especially the patio area. I quit smoking about 2 years ago and I’m totally over bars with smoking, unfortunately like 80% of my friends(including my husband) aren’t and 90% of the bars I like have smoking in them still so I just deal with it all the time. However, I totally understand it when people don’t want to so I feel that I should mention it my review.

They might as well call this bar Assholes because that’s who works there and that is also who goes there. I’ve been to this bar many times over the years basically it is the other bar to go to when your stuck in the paseo area and sauced has sucked long enough so you decide to check out the other room to see what’s going on. You have to stand outside for a while cause the place is at capacity cause Nick Collison is inside or Wayne is there or someone oklahoma famous. Then after you get in you have to deal with pushy security guards who look you up and down and make dumb talk with you. Then your finally inside! You can enjoy bartenders that aren’t in any hurry to help you or tell you about any beers that they have or specials or anything rather they glare at you for your incompetence for not knowing anything and it makes it worse because the platform behind the bar is elevated so high that they are always looking down on you. And when you have a seat at the bar you are at perfect eye to penis level so you crank you head way up to look at the tv screen so you don’t have to glare at crotch and try to pretend to find new meaning in Family Guy through subtitles as 90s radio hip hop booms. So you get a hamms and a shot of whiskey which is usually 5 bucks in every other bar but is 7 at the other room. It used to be old style beer and was better but I guess hamms is cheaper so they can get more profit but it tastes like buttered shit. I used to tip all the time in this place(even when a group I was with got thrown out) but now I never will because I heard they added a bell above the bar called the asshole bell so the bartenders can ring it when someone doesn’t tip therefore announcing to the entire bar who the asshole is. This place is for trust fund babies who spend all their money on their wardrobe and coke and alcohol looking for other babes to sleeze they night away with. There are hot women that come here but they will not talk to you. Oh yeah. The music is controlled by one of the bartenders iPods and none of them have any musical taste at all. Any good music you might hear is pure accident from pandora or spotify. Rich white kids party on with sunglasses at night, skinny jeans and they rolled up tight, let the ankles breathe, cause my skins so white, with Jay-Z pumpin you up 4-Eva. I’ll be at the Hilo.

One of my favorite bars around, fo sho! I’ve shown my face in The Other Room for 5 years now, and each time I’m reminded why I enjoy having some drinks here. Just a quick adult beverage overview… They don’t have PBR, but they have Hamm’s! And I love Hamm’s! They also have all of your standard liquors and a small selection of beer. But, the small beer selection doesn’t bother me, because I’m not coming to TOR to drink some Roughtail IPA… I’m coming to enjoy the activity of weekend drinking. The atmosphere of TOR is second to none. The crowd is laidback and everyone seems to be in the best of spirits. There are a coupla TV’s in the place, but it’s obvious that the focus of TOR is maximizing social interaction and not TV watching. It’s just a wonderful experience, honestly. TOR in the summertime is fantastic, as well. They have a secluded patio where you can enjoy some good drinks and great conversation. If you’re looking for a place to have a good time, this is definitely worth a visit. *The only real negative about this place, which doesn’t really bother me, is their«one in, one out» policy. When it’s busy, they will only allow one person in for every person that is leaving. If you come with some friends on a weekend night, this could be an issue.*

Well, there’s a cocktail that I enjoy that can only be created magnificently at The Other Room. This cocktail is the Bee’s Knees. Basically, it’s gin, honey, and fresh citrus. It’s wonderful. I’ve tried ordering it all over town. The Lobby Bar came close but The Other Room took home the prize. The Other Room may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Smoking is allowed and it can get rather hazy on a busy night. Seating is wonderful on a slow night but this is a shotgun style bar, meaning, it can be a bit cramped when it’s crowded. What’s nice, is that they serve food from the neighboring, Picasso’s Café. Drinks are fairly priced and they have a nice selection of cheap beer for the hipsters. Speaking of hipsters, there are a lot of them here. Consider them a permanent fixture of the natural habitat. I mean, this is located in the Paseo District after all. Avoid this place on a frigid night, between the patio and front door an arctic vortex develops. It’s impossible to avoid the draft.

Pros: great cocktail selection, big booths for large parties, patio and pretty quick service Cons: one bathroom that doesn’t properly lock(made me nervous!) and the smoke… Ugh, I’m sorry, smoking bars are really not my thing. Would love it otherwise.

The back patio here is stellar. I ate brunch here a couple sundays ago and stayed practically all day and made some new friends. I got the eggs benedict with no ham and added lobster because it was a day to celebrate! You can even bring your dog; as long as they are friendly and leashed! This is a great place to chill with friends and have great food and cocktails.

As I am sitting here thinking whether The Other Room should get 4 or 5 stars I asked myself«what would I change about The Other Room?». The answer is nothing so it deserves 5 stars. The Other Room is great as it is and some of the things that I don’t like about it, such as the limited seating or smelling like an ashtray when I leave, are things that I wouldn’t change about TOR. The drinks here are strong and the patio is great. You have Picasso Café next door for a late night pizza. The music is always great and the crowd never disappoints. Don’t change, The Other Room, don’t change. I love you as you are.

Dive Bar but Nice Bar I love the fact that this is a dive bar and yet has old fashioned beverages(stuff your mom and dad would drink). This bar has character, yet is truly just an old fashioned wood trimmed bar. Private tables in the back and a nice patio way in the back. The front of the house is small so if someone is smoking, so are you… but that is all part of a bar right? The drinks are good and strong. Overall it is a great experience, and the staff is fantastic. Please try the pretzels, you will not be disappointed…
