My boyfriend and I did dinner here for my birthday and it was wonderful. We had the cheddar, which is made with a little beer, I am not a beer fan but this was pretty good. Then we had our main entrees. The steak, lobster tail, and shrimp were very delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate bliss with almonds and coconut. The server was amazing and my birthday dinner even better by giving me candles to blow out before our chocolate was ready.

Went and had a bad experience with our server. He was out of line and totally inappropriate. However, the manager has handled the situation with a lot of class. He apologized, listened to our concerns like it was very important to him, and made changes for us to keep us coming back to his restaurant. I love that it was never our fault and that excuses weren’t made for bad behavior. I love when a business treats you like your business matters.

Wonderful. Our waiter was named Ty and he was the bees knees. Really knew his stuff and was able to help my family make the right choices about what we were ordering. The food was delicious – no complaints at all. The only drawback is that the leisurely, laid back experience is slightly«ruined» because you’re sitting so close to their tables.

We went here to celebrate a birthday me and my husband we both got 4 course dinners. Our first time here we heard lots of good things but honestly did not think its was very good. Salad was bland cheeses were ok I got cheddar husband got the bacon and Brie which he liked. But the breads they served to go with the cheese just weren’t that good. For the amount of money you spend here to not only cook your own food but served very little aswell it’s just not worth it. If we were to come back here again it would only be for dessert! That’s the only good thing out of our experience. And our server was just a lil too in your face and sarcastic and seemed overwhelmed with other tables he kept neglecting to refill drinks.

«Cook your own damn food» it’s like a European type of Korean bbq/hot pot/hot pan. Everyone I’ve ever spoken to have all loved this place, I personally don’t see the appeal. The food was great though, the dipping sauces were all good, the meats, desserts, the staff, all good. My wife started with the cream sickle drink, tasted just like one. We got the cheddar dip, had bread fruits/veggies with it. Ordered a salad, I just went with the house. Their dressing was a bit sweet. Then I ordered the meat portion, pacific rim with their european cooking style. I felt it was a good mix, beer, garlic, wine, onions/shallots. Ended it with the turtle, got to dip marshmallows, fruits, brownies, good mixture. Overall good experience, the staff were all very friendly, not sure if I dig it that much though. And it was super expensive for my taste.

For many this place would be a 5 star review I’m sure. It’s certainly very good, but I don’t feel the need to return, given the prices and overall experience. We had the opportunity to go here as a gift and so we splurged a little on menu choices. We got one of the big in lucid dining options, and got the extra meat tray with our cheese appetizer(which was quite tasty), the citrus flavoring with our meat entrée(not my favorite but my wife liked it), and the desert extras with the chocolate dip(good, but honestly unnecessary, there was plenty already). Their teriyaki steak is excellent, and I can see why it’s one of their starred items. Really, the whole menu was high quality and delicious and we left full. For the dollar, I would choose another establishment but it was fun and worth going to once.

As most know, the melting pot is pricey, but interactive, tasty, and worth it. My friends and I were visiting OKC and made sure to plan to eat here. Unfortunately, we made our reservation that afternoon and were stuck with a 9pm reservation. We picked the classic alpine cheese, complimentary broth, and flaming turtles chocolate. One of my friends got the 4 course experience, but the other 3 of us got individual entrees(one got the ahi tuna, one had the sirloin, and I got ravioli). The cheese starter was the perfect size for us four and very tasty. And we were all pleased with our entrees and the standard stock that we cooked with. The dessert was definitely everyone’s favorite course and was had the waitress bring extra pound cake and strawberries — YUM! I would have given this place a 5 star rating, but our waitress messed up our individual bills. She first split our table’s entire bill into four. We politely corrected her to change it to what each person ordered(because the entrees varied greatly in price if you didn’t get the 4 course experience). She then charged my one friend correctly for the 4 course, then the other three of us for the same price(making mine overpriced and my friend’s underpriced). We all just paid it out bc it took forever to get it changed in the first place. Not cool.

Service was slow — the Waiter worked very hard, but it was still a long time between topping off our drinks. The fondue Delite and lobster was fantastic. We would definitely have that again. The chocolate dessert was fabulous but they should provide you with more dippers. The strawberry salad and spinach bacon salad both had tremendous flavor. The roasted red pepper fondue was good but not near as good as the Wisconsin trio. Overall a good experience.

I’ve been here twice now. Both times I’ve had absolutely impeccable service. I love how thorough the servers are and the fact that they seem to genuinely care that you understand the process and menu. I like that there are so many options available and that I didn’t walk away feeling like there was a brick in my stomach. The food from beginning to end was flavorful and delicious. There were no complaints from our party of five. We will definitely be back again!

Love at first sight. I mean bite, love at first bite. In short, The Melting Pot is a fun, yet very intimate fondue restaurant perfect for date night or to celebrate a special occasion. I have been to several Melting Pot locations in the United States and Canada. However, I find their location in Bricktown-OKC is by far the best. Our waiter, who was Caleb most recently, made the experience a wonderful one. He was very friendly, helpful when it came time to choosing our cooking style and very patient even after we asked him a million questions. Now to get down to my favorite part. The food. I haven’t tried everything on their menu but I have definitely found my favorites. First, the loaded baked potato cheese fondue. It goes perfectly with the apples, bread and vegetables that come with it. This cheese fondue is what I crave every time because they add their green goddess sauce to it. This sauce has a cream cheese base and is AMAZING with just about everything. The Caesar salad follows. Be sure to ask for it without nuts if you aren’t a fan. I personally think it’s the pine nuts that make this salad stand out. For your entrée, you have to choose a cooking style and I highly recommend the coq au vin but the mojo is great, too. If you’re doing the four course experience, the classic plate is perfect if you want to try a variety of meats. You’ll likely be stuffed by now but it’s time for chocolate. Wild berries, flaming turtles, s’mores, you can’t go wrong.(No turtles were harmed in the making of this fondue .) Ask for the snickers chocolate fondue, it’s not on the menu but out waiter recommended we try it next time. The Melting Pot had a gluten free menu as well as a kids menu. If you want a more romantic date, look on their website for information on the Lover’s Lane or ask for this table when you make reservations. Be aware that they do not do this during Valentine’s Day!

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary here tonight and had absolutely great service by Tracy. We had dinner elsewhere, but on a whim decided to jump on Open Table and reserve a table. Luckily, they had open tables on a Friday night and we were able to get in within 15 minutes. We were greeted by the nice hostess and then sat almost immediately. We were taken to a small room towards the back, which Tracy called«Lover’s Lane» so it was quite fitting! We shared the SMORES fondue and loved everything about it. We never had to ask for refills or more goodies because Tracy was prompt and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this for date night!

I have so wanted to try the Melting pot but finances never worked out. It is quite pricy. However, this month(September 2015) they have a special for those that teach or work in education(4 course meal for two half price), so my husband and I(both work for schools) decided this would be the perfect time to go. That I just got a paycheck helped as well. Grin. The Melting Pot is located in the Bricktown area just past the overpass wall. Parking is difficult to find and costs a bit in this area. With my health issues, walking to and from parking was not an option my husband was happy with, so we arranged an Über ride to and from our night out. The building is a narrow tall construction remodeled to be a tiny romantic place to eat. They have it so you feel very isolated and not crammed all together. It is narrow, but I liked how it had room to be comfortable as we ate, and intimate as well, allowing for quiet conversation and enjoyment of your companion’s company. Gabe was our waiter, and he did an outstanding job. I forgot to write down the name of the lady he was training, but we want to give a shout out to her too. We really enjoyed our evening. They were very attentive and when they had other tables that needed them, they sent someone to make sure we had refills before we even got to the bottom of the glass. That takes talent with us, as we always seem to need ask for refills. Here that was not the case. Great job on that one!!! The first thing we had to do, was come to an agreement on the cheese, cooking stock, and later we had to agree on a chocolate. Knowing that my husband likes very spicy food, the stock was the hardest one to get a consensus on. There were so many choices of cheese sauces that it was hard to narrow it down to just one. We finally decided on the Classic Alpine and along with the variety of items that came with it, we added a premium dipper variety of meats to dip into the cheese. It was worth it, trust me. Not saying what it came with wasn’t good, oh it was. However, the meats in that cheese were fantastic. And who knew that dipping green apples in cheese would be so good? Not me. After that, we each got our own choice of salad courses. I had the caesar and my husband had the California. Both were very fresh and the candied nuts added a little surprise that I wasn’t expecting. A nice highlight to make any salad something special. The main course was again individual choice, but we had to agree, as I stated before on the stock it was cooked in. We went with Mojo(I think that was the name of it). A Mediterranean style stock with orange juice squeezed into it as it cooked. Paul, my husband, got a spicy rub selection of meats called the French Quarter. I tried a bite and not my thing at all, but he really liked it. I had the Fondue Delight(it had lobster and shrimp… mmmmm goodness). This came along with potatoes, broccoli, and mushroom caps to cook in the stock as well. Then added to that there were various little bowls of dipping sauces to add to the tantalizing of the taste buds. We tried it all, cutting the meats up and trying a bit of this and a bit of that. I don’t remember the name of it, but one of the white ones was really good in the mushroom caps. We had fun timing the meats just right and playing with the fondue forks too. Romantic dinner for two was just amazing fun. We were like young people on a date. Grin. The last course, of course, was the chocolate. We had to agree on this and the selection was quite difficult to make. They all sounded divine. We finally narrowed it down to the two that were flambé(I think I spelled that right… set on fire for those of us that had to ask… grin). We wanted the whole show for this night out. We picked the Bananas Foster only substituted the white chocolate for the dark chocolate. Very good decision, I might add. OOOOOH my goodness. After the fire, which had sparks thanks to the cinnamon Gabe sprinkled over it generously, we started dipping the variety of sweets and fruit into the pot. Such a lovely end to a grand meal. Again, it is very pricy. On teacher salaries, not something that can be a regular thing. However, this is something worth saving up to do, at least once. We hope to do it at least once a year, especially if they do this deal each September. It is a good way to celebrate surviving the first month of the new school year. Thank you Melting Pot for having this special for educators.

When I went I had never been and the waiter was very helpful and explained everything without getting frustrated that we had no idea what was going on. food was amazing. in my opinion the seafood was better just because you boil the meat you choose and the steak was a little weird boiled but still delicious. overall a great experience and already have another trip planned.

Had a great time for a special occasion. Would highly recommend if you have never been, it’s a great experience. It’s pricey but worth it for special occasions. We got the 4 course and started with spinach and artichoke dip — which was on point! We got the mojo oil to cook our meat in, and finished with the smore’s chocolate fondue — which topped off the meal nicely. Highly recommend making reservations to avoid any wait time, and expect an hour or two to eat because of prep time for the meals. Or waitress was lacking a little and didn’t fill us in on all the menu options properly(which we realized when we overheard another waitress at another table). She did get it drinks on time and food out in a timely manner, so I can’t mark her down to much. Overall, great time.

You have to come here knowing you’re going to spend some money. Don’t feel the need that you have to each get a 4 course meal. There are certain things you can get refills on for the cheese and dessert fondue. I usually come here splitting the 4 course with my boyfriend, and we both leave full. So, I can’t get too upset about the price. I signed up for their email list so I plan on coming out when there’s incentives like ladies’ night, Thunder Happy Hour, holiday specials, murder mystery dinners, teacher appreciation, military appreciation. The meals go down significantly or you can get cheese and dessert at half price during certain times. Seeing as I don’t live here anymore, I miss the local events. I’ve enjoyed my visits here, it can just be hit or miss. The last time I went they overcharged me rather than the 4 course included. So, CHECK your CHECKS! They refunded me the difference, but still just make sure the numbers add up. This is one of those places you’re not ok with overpaying when it should’ve been included in the package deal.

I was super disappointed in my experience at The Melting Pot tonight. We came in as a group of nine just for dessert. We did not have a reservation and the hostess told us there would be a 20 – 30 minute wait. She was less than kind when we asked if we could sit in the vacant front room, saying that is was already reserved. Ten minutes later, we were sat in the front room. And we waited… And waited… It took nearly an hour to get our three pots of chocolate that was decent at best. We did not have a complicated order, and it just seemed to take a very long time to get our coffees, our chocolates, and our checks. The food was good, not great, but the service was underwhelming tonight. Next time I come here I’ll be sure to budget 2 hours of my night for dessert.

We went for a birthday dinner with six friends and the staff was amazing the whole night. From getting there and having an extra person, to waiting on us and serving. Very friendly and welcoming. It smells funny in there and I really just think it was all the cheeses in the pots. The food is mediocre. You are really going for the experience. The cheese is the shredded stuff you would get from the grocery store, and it’s just mixed beer or wine and a couple of spices. You can taste the graininess of it in every bite. The salads were nothing special, something you can make at home. I agree with other posts and would say the dessert is the best part! You get refills on toppings as long as you have dip and the banana’s foster(no longer on the menu, but you can order it) was really good!!! I would return but only for happy hour when the dessert was half price.

I’ve always been a little intimidated by The Melting Pot. I wasn’t sure exactly how it worked and I knew it was very expensive, so I never made an effort to visit until Downtown Restaurant Week this January. At a modest $ 35/person, this was my opportunity to try their dinner and not break the bank. Our four course meal began with the fiesta fondue with veggies, tortilla chips and bread for dipping. It was essentially queso, but felt so fancy! Next we had the strawberry almond salad. It was good but we wanted to save room for the main course! We had the fondue fusion which came with duck, pork, steak and lobster tail. It was really fun to skewer the meats and cook them yourself. The steak was my favorite! Lastly, we had the bananas foster dessert. It was basically a cinnamon white chocolate with different fruits and cookies/cakes for dipping. Although we were really full from the meal, I couldn’t resist trying the different dessert options. I was very impressed with the service and would be happy to come back again. I think it’d be fun with a larger group as well.

Well this melting pot experience was a mediocre one unfortunately. We were a party of four and we were seated in a booth. Our waitress greeted us and asked us if we have ever been to one and we replied yes. She had a waiter in training explain to us the menus. My co worker ordered the 4 course experience that included the chocolate fondue. My other two co workers and I opted for the fondue by you with a pick of three individual entrees and option of a salad that was extra. The menu was confusing and the fondue by you was explained by our waiter in training, but it still did not seem to execute the concept of it being a meal entrée or if it was small meats being cooked. We sat around for a good five minutes asking each other if we understood it or not. We were dumbfounded lol. Any-who we ordered salads and I found my caprese drowning in sweet balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Not that great. Since my coworker ordered the 4 course meal the cheese fondue was included, so we all decided upon the classic cheddar. We were not impressed. The cheese was more beer flavored and congealed. It did not coat the veggies or bread well at all. It was as if water was thrown in and melted cheese and the oil separated it all. Needless to say after two bites each we left it on the table to be taken away. Our meats were then brought out to us and we excitedly took our color coordinated forks to stab and cook it in the bourganaise. I did enjoy my choice of meats, but the buffalo shrimp lacked flavor once it went cooking in the sauce. Then came the turtle chocolate fondue which everyone enjoyed. Overall experience it was ok not great. I don’t think I’ll be back.

We love melting pot but this New Year’s Eve was a horrible experience. The food was wonderful but our server was lacking. We ordered the wine tasting and our server, Amanda didn’t bring our wine until the second was done course. The wine tasting was a different wine for all 4 courses. She was unable to tell us anything about the wine except that it was Chardonnay. I asked her to check the brand and we waited 10 minutes before I finally complained to management. She never dame back to tell us the brand or type of wine. We didn’t know the type of wine or anything about the cooking style for our meat course of our food. The server was better after we complained but our bill increased after the server charged our credit card: we once again had to ask. We also had to ask for a picture which is part of the package. Once it arrived I had to ask for my 2015 picture frame. I don’t know if it’s new management or just bad luck but we were extremely disappointed. The diamond wine tasting was good and Coppola was a brand I had not tried. The banana cream pie chocolate was also amazing.
