The Samwise is hands down the best slice of pizza I’ve had in OKC. I also tried the Saturday night and it was great. To top it off, the family is so so friendly. Can’t beat that.

My husband and I recently ate here again. We love love love their pizza! We literally waited in line four 45 minutes at the first h&8 night if the year just to get their pizza. The pieces are always more than generous and now I know that we can get parmesan added on top which is an extra bonus. I don’t remember what the slice is that we both got but it was basically a supreme. We will definitely be back.

I love their pizza. Prob the best pizza I have ever had. Why am I giving them only three stars? Because I’ve only had their pizza once and they disappeared. They are never at a continent location. And it seems like they are only out and about 4 times a month. I didn’t know that the best pizza I’ve ever had would be the last time as well. They best location they have been to is Blue Seven on May Ave. That’s close to me. If they start coming regularly I’ll give them more stars.

This is the only pizza that i will eat the crust and finish it satisfyingly. I have tried other pizza places and their crust taste like cardboard. I reccomned the vegetarian pizza! Its refreshing and savory. I will always check in here whenever i get the chance.

Always a long line at H&8th, and for good reason! I got a chance to try out this pizza truck during a 5K at Lake Hefner — a much shorter line! I had the Beat the Heat, which I believe was a special around the NBA playoffs. I want to say it had some meat, jalapenos and Sriracha sauce on it. I’m a sucker for anything Sriracha! It was spicy but so delicious, and the brick oven/smokey flavor on the crust is awesome, especially for being made in a food truck! I also find this to be pretty well priced… it’s around $ 3 – 4 per slice, but the slices are big! One is enough, especially if you’re surrounded by tons of other trucks to try at something like H&8th. Definitely give it a try if you get the chance!

Man, I hate, hate, hate not being overwhelmingly positive when the folks running a joint are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. These are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and they’re fast at getting you your pizza. Why not better, than? I’m simply not sold on the pizza itself. The very good quality ingredients didn’t seem to hold up as you’d hope, or at least the slices I had died a little waiting for someone to grab them … so I’m afraid it loses some of the awesomeness by the time it gets to your mouth. Just good, not great, pizza. And while the slices are a decent size, the pizza is very expensive as well. Too much for me to pay on a regular basis. So what we have here is high-priced pizza that is of slightly but definitely lower quality than what I’d expect from higher-end pizza joints in town. I’d say go ahead and give them a shot, because with staff this nice, if you think I’m totally wrong about the pizza itself(or just have a fresher bite than I did), you’ll absolutely fall in love. And I’ll give them another try, with updates as warranted.

I love pizza. I love food trucks. Combine these two together and you have The Hall’s Pizza Kitchen! This is one of those food trucks I see on facebook or twitter and I plan my day around finding a way to get to them. I’ve seen their truck on the road and I’ll pull over and check twitface to see if they’re heading someone or maybe just follow them around for awhile and pray to the pizza gods that they’re about to setup shop somewhere. 3.50 for a slice of pizza may seem a bit pricey but the size is HUGE and the flavor is worth every penny. Seriously, make an effort to visit these folks. You will not regret it one bit. Favorite pizzas are The Saturday Night and The Company. Both are meaty and delicious and make my mouth water just thinking of them right now. I’m happy the holidays are over so they will hopefully be back on the streets soon.

Wood fire pizza can be really really good or really really meh. If someone told me that I’d actually enjoy this style of pizza out of a food truck… I’d til them to get outta town. Man oh man. The Hall’s surprised me a bit! While I do have to agree with Michael on the temperature of the pizza, the story(family owned business created through a Saturday night pizza tradition) and ingredients kind of made up for it. To me this experience would be more of a 3.5. I ordered the Unilocal check in special because it was the Unilocaly thing to do. For 8 bucks I received a drink, slice of pizza and salad. Yes, I opted for the salad verses an extra slice. Joy needed greens! The Saturday Night was very tasty(I gobbled it right up) and the dressing for the salad was right up my alley. The actual salad itself was okay. Those crunchy walnut pieces surprised me. I think my only problem with the meal was not the portion, but the temperature and sauce. Granted, I did eat outdoors at night on a cold December day, I just would have liked the food to be warmer than bath water. Normally, I prefer a dry pizza with little sauce, but my slice seemed a little off. This forced me to pay more attention to the pizza dough, which was different(in a good way). I guess you could say that the lack of sauce was a blessing in disguise. The pros+ Pizza is not soaked in grease. Yummy toppings. The cons– Premium pizza comes at a price! $ 3.50/slice and portions might seem small to some.

I’m definitely a fan of Hall’s! I’ve heard their story and after meeting them in person they are the type of people that make Oklahoma great. Hall’s Pizza Truck was parked in front of Grandad’s when I got to try it. It was a magical savior since I had been rushing to a friends birthday and hadn’t had a chance to eat. They had a few specials that night, but I couldn’t take my eyes off The Company(slab bacon, italian sausage, pepperoni, canadian bacon, mozzarella, basil, parmigiano reggiano, Hall’s special sauce). They had just sold their last slice, but were currently making more that would be done in 7 minutes. I went ahead and purchased 2 pieces since I was starving, which I’m glad I did since all of my friends wanted bites. I went back inside and was going to come back out in 7 minutes, but before I could, one of the sweet daughters was bringing my slices inside! I know they probably don’t usually do that, but I thought it was so sweet. I’m pretty sure after everyone tried my pizza they were busy making many more, it was so delicious and fresh. I love the special touch they add to their pizza and I can’t wait to try it again soon.

I am still trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Good pizza yes. Great pizza no. I have eaten at Hall’s twice now so this review is a combo review of both. Hall’s staff are very friendly which is a nice thing if you are going to be at an event where you have to wait for the pizza. From what I understand is the usual. This time however we didn’t have to wait long. Okay so the Pizza. I will give you this Hall’s puts better toppings on their pizza then almost anyone I have eaten in the area. This is Hall’s calling card I would say. The taste from those topping is what makes this pizza. The second best thing about the pizza is the crust. This crust is pretty pretty good. Now to the lack luster sauce. Just don’t really taste it. Yes it’s there but it doesn’t pop. The last thing I have to review is the temperature. If you are at a bigger event that Hall’s is at prepare for cold pizza. Yes fresh cold pizza. Doesn’t make much sense. The first time I had Hall’s that was my biggest complaint. The second time the pizza was warmer. Overall this is just average pizza. Is it better than Pizza Hut or Little Ceasers. Of course it is. Why would you even open your doors if you couldn’t serve better pizza than the chains. But for higher end pizza it just doesn’t do it for me. Will I eat at Hall’s again? More than likely yes, I am sure they will be at an event and I will give them another shot.

I was excited to try Hall’s Pizza Kitchen because I’m basically obsessed with pizza. It’s a little bit of a problem. Give me pizza and I’m happy. I ordered the Matt, which is the veggie pizza with pesto, caramelized onions, artichokes, etc. and the daily special salad. First of all, the salad was a little disappointing. Whenever I order a salad anywhere, I expect something fancy(ish); something that I couldn’t easily throw together in my kitchen. This salad, however, was just too simple and boring for me… not incredibly impressed. But who cares about salad really? I came to Hall’s for pizza. I’m not going to lie, I ordered one slice of pizza and then went back for another slice fifteen minutes later but please do not forget about the fact that I’m obsessed with pizza and I wouldn’t put it past me to eat pizza that’s been sitting unrefrigerated for three days. Just kidding(kinda)! For $ 3.50 a slice, I expected the slice to be a little larger, but it would’ve been plenty had I not been such a glutton. The pizza was good but the caramelized onions gave it a little bit of a sweet taste, which just seemed kinda off to me for pizza. The service was super friendly but I really just had incredibly high expectations for the pizza and I was a little bit disappointed in it and sadly I can think of quite a few pizza places around OKC that I prefer over Hall’s but I’m sure I’ll give it another try in the future!

I’ve tried Hall’s twice and both times I was impressed that such a good slice of pizza came from a food truck. They’ve done a great job of appearing at well-populated areas. I attended Creativity Forum last week where they were parked outside. I convinced my co-workers to try them out after we saw they had a two slice + drink special for $ 8. Get the Saturday Night, trust me.

I got to check out The Hall’s for the first time this week. First of all, it was nice to finally meet a few of the Hall’s family. I’d heard so much about this tight-knit family and their story, so I was pleased to meet the folks behind the truck. I got to try the Company: Bacon, sausage, whole milk mozza, Canadian bacon, and the Saturday Night: sausage, pepperoni, whole milk mozza, and the Hall’s yummy sauce. I also got to try a bite of Marshall’s Samwise(rosemary potatoes, cream cheese, caramelized onions and bacon with balsamic), which turned out to be my favorite although I doubted the effectiveness of potatoes on pizza. I was wrong — it is delicious. I look forward to trying the salads and the sweet stuff at my next Hall’s stopover. I also give the Hall’s props for an excellent website, with their story, recent press, and most importantly, a list of upcoming locations and their menu. The design work is tops and this food truck probably does the best job in the city of regularly tweeting their location while also having a comprehensive list of upcoming dates on their website, as well plenty of ways to contact them. Kudos to them for getting this key feature right.

Let’s knock this one out. Amazing pizza. My favorite thus far is The Matt — their pesto, artichoke hearts, caramelized onions and red peppers, mozzarella, basil, and their sauce. I am very pro-MEAT. But this is absolutely fantastic. I could go on and on about why you will/should like their pizza, but all I can say is that if it’s a topping you like, it’ll be amazing. Super friendly staff, as well. At first I was going to give them 4⁄5 because I think $ 3.50 for a slice of pizza is outrageous. I took a few minutes to think about it, though: 1.) The slices are fairly respectable in size. I’ve had bigger slices for less at other places, but 2.) The ingredients are so, so fresh. Quality is a factor in price, so if you’re going to sell such good quality pizza, it’s going to be more than your average chain.

Hall’s: I would eat you in the street, I would eat you with my feet. I would eat you from a plate, I would eat you on a date. «Look over there» I’d say«you see?», as I steal the last bite of your Company. «Did you just steal my last bite?», you ask as I devour my Saturday Night. And this is where the date ends, there’s just no way to make amends. So you see — Hall’s is great, just don’t expect a second date. Yeah, Hall’s is really friggin’ good. I’ve come to the conclusion that the best tasting pizza comes from wood burning ovens — hardly a bold statement, but worth mentioning nonetheless. The quick cooking time at such a high heat creates the perfect char to crisp the exterior of the crust while the interior remains a beautiful little dough pillow of chewiness. Mmmmm, dough pillows. Those wouldn’t last very long in my house. What was I saying? So yeah, fitting a wood burning oven inside of a truck is quite an amazing feat. Not dying of heat exhaustion… well that’s even more impressive. Working in such close proximity with your family — *head explodes*. Yeah, it’s all very impressive, to say the least. I’ve already tried Hall’s many more times than I’d care to admit, but it’s been great every time. The most important factor for me — the crust, has been cooked to perfection each time. Their ingredients are high quality and fresh, and it becomes apparent when you try their food. My favorite thus far — The Pear & Prosciutto: heavenly. You might think that the honeyed prosciutto would be too sweet when joined with the slight sweetness of the pairs, but it really balances perfectly with the blue cheese, fresh mozzarella and crunch of the walnuts. A close second goes to The Company — a meat lover’s dream. With slab bacon, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon and pepperoni you would think it might be slightly overwhelming, but again — they don’t overdue it at all and the flavors mesh perfectly. Their signature red sauce really brings it all together — sweet and tangy, finger licking good, some of the better pizza sauce I’ve had. The Matt is a great option for vegetarians — the pesto was a tad salty last time, but the caramelized onions are really something when paired with their sauce and the gooey mozzarella. The Sweetness is their play on Hawaiian pizza — also a good option. If you need some more veggies in your life, they offer some tasty salads as well. It’s Hall good.(See what I did there?) So yes, Hall’s is yet another great addition to OKC’s ever growing food truck scene. It’s a great little family run operation(literally, the whole family is inside the truck) — and their pizza can certainly compete with any big name brick and mortar pizza place, no problem. Overall Grade: A–

Standing in line at «H &8th» was worth it: the Halls make a fabulously nuanced dough and turned out some of the best pizza I have ever had! I loved the melted onion base on «the Matt». The salted caramel chocolate chip cookies were top notch too. Can’t wait to bump into this truck again!

That Hall’s Kitchen. They’re so hot right now. There is almost an art to pizza, and there are a lot of places in Oklahoma City that nail it. Pizza 23. The Wedge. Hideaway. Now, there is a new member to the family, and it’s a wood fire pizza truck. Wood fire? The oven fits in the truck? Yes! Indeed it does! If you don’t believe me, you need to see it for yourself. I almost feel bad for them because I can’t imagine the heat they’re enduring through these summer months, and it doesn’t help that they’re such a popular truck at H &8 either. The line is long and the wait is worth it! When I walked up to the truck for the first time, it was hard to decide which pizza slice looked best. The vegetarian pizza«The Matt» or should I go for a meat lovers like«Saturday Night» or «The Company?» Hold the phone! There’s a combo where you get 2 slices and a drink for a special deal? Let me get 20! I guess I should toss one of their salads in there to be a little healthy, right? This truck is one of the newest additions to not only the great pizza joints in Oklahoma City, but it’s a great addition to the long list of food trucks we have as options. Meals on wheels just keep getting better and better in our growing town! Make sure to check their twitter page(@thehallspizza) to see where they’ll go next. At this rate, it looks like nothing is going to stop this truck from getting to your newest favorite place JUST because they’ll be parked right in front!
