The Cottages at Hefner Road

This apartment complex doesn’t even deserve one star… So not only is this a terrible place to live because of the area, but the management couldn’t give a care about their tenants. They are only out to get money and do whatever is best for them. Then when we finally got out we waited months for the deposit we were supposed to get back. Finally we called was told we would get a call back… Never got a call back. Then we call again 2 weeks later and were put on hold for 10 minutes and then told us we might get our deposit. They tried to charge us for late rent payment multiple times only because they lost our check. As soon as we put in our 30 day notice, they came and tried to take our washer and dryer to use for another apartment. We asked them in person twice for what we needed to do in order to put in our notice of moving, and both times they told us all we needed to do was bring in a money order for our last months rent and we would be «good to go». So we did, and the following Monday they charged us $ 130 because we didn’t «sign the exit papers» that they failed to tell us about both times we spoke in person. The best advice I have is just don’t even look here… This is the most unprofessional, scheming, and horribly managed apartment complex I’ve ever seen. Yeah the rent is cheap, but it’s cheap for a reason.
