Spudology Potato Bar

This place is awesome!!! Their food is so gooood!!!
You will not be disappointed. The bbq is juicy and flavorful. I like the variety of baked potato choices. The staff was super nice and went out of their way to make our experience perfect.

AMAZING! Great place to get a baked potato with some good BBQ! The oceanography spud had the smoked brisket, the signature BBQ sauce had lots of flavor and I would recommend this place to anyone! We will be back!

Great food, but probably won’t survive unless they learn to operate their business.
I walked in a few minutes before noon and was the first one in line. The smoke from the smoker was so thick it burned my eyes and nearly caused me to choke. There was one other couple already seated at a table. It took just over 10 minutes to get my order taken and pay. It was another 10 minutes before they brought my food, with chives which I had requested to be left off. 5 minutes later, they brought my iced tea. I had to go back to the front and ask for sugar. Finally, over half an hour after coming in, they brought my delicious baked potato with butter, cheese, sour cream, and smoked brisket. It was excellent.
The other reviews are correct — the menu is confusing and without much explanation. The Spudology concept is based upon a science theme, with a periodic table on the wall, and other references throughout the décor. It would be clever if they could find a clear way to explain all their science-​themed names so every customer doesn’t have to ask so many questions. As other customers came in, not one was able to order without asking several questions, which seemed to annoy the lady taking orders. She may have been new, because she had to ask the man from the back — who was preparing the food — to come out and help with placing the orders and taking payment, often more than once for each customer. Clearly, this slowed down nearly every part of the process.
This particular day, I had a very limited time for lunch, which made the slow service a little more stressful than usual. My drink was never refilled, my order was wrong initially, and I can still smell the smoke on my clothes about an hour later as I write this review. The food was quite tasty, though! If you have the time and can stand the smoke, you should hurry on down before they decide they can’t afford to keep this place open.
Who knows, maybe they’ll read this review, install better ventilation, train the lady who works out front, and all will be well in the land of Spudology!

Amazing food. I love the Geology (potato soup) and the Biology (baked potato with chicken). Spudology is a must try especially if you love potatoes.

Great concept and customer service. I love to go for a quick warm lunch. Hope the join the Keep It Local OK. Program. The biology potato is one of my favorite. The sweet potato pie is delicious, but the cake is supper fresh and moist.

This place is a rising star! Although it is newer and could use some building improvements, the concept is very clever and the ingredients were fresh. The service was excellent: the waitress came over to fill our water glasses several times and was delightful to chat with about the business.
The prices are great too. They use an ipad for all cards, so it would be easy to get in and out quickly if one was on the go. All of the potatoes can be made into wraps or sandwiches if desired.
Honestly, if they get more people in the door, Spudology could be a big hit!

First time trying Spudology. The inside of the potato was absolutely delicious, but there is way too much salt for me on the outside. I love eating the skin and it was tough to do. Also I ordered two potatoes and the soup for delivery, and they ran out of the soup so instead of calling me and letting me know they just substituted a pie. I’m not a huge fan of pie, and just wish they would have called me to let me know prior.

This place is amazing! I stopped in because I really enjoy eating at and supporting our local restaurants and I just have to say this place is sooooo good! They make their BBQ sauce from scratch every morning and all their ingredients are fresh! Do yourself a favor and stop by and say hi to Marcus (the owner), it will be the best potato you’ve EVER had!

Great food! Only complaints was small portion for the price and the family bbq sauce is great, spicy, over powers the meat but yummy!
I recommend the Anatomy & Physiology which is a sweet potato with butter and cinnamon.
Also the meat in a Hawaiian roll is good. I can’t say it’s average but portions are small is the only reason I didn’t give em’ 5 stars!

I thought this place was great. Super friendly and food was ready super fast.
I got the baked potato with special sauce and brisket.
It was sooooo good. Desserts were amazing !
I hope they get the support needed to stay open.

They put heart into their décor, menu and food. You can tell this place is a loanor of love, and it’s not just your average diner in a shopping center experience. There’s one vegetarian choice, and I would their 37 sauce to it. I really enjoyed the food and ate most of the delicious skin (I don’t typically choose to eat the skin, but this was salty and crispy). No fountain drinks, but they had pink lemonade kool aid and canned coke.

Just went for the sweet potato pie. I must say it had a good taste, though I’m biased if my own because it’s my favorite dessert. I plan to go back and try the spud. The place was in a small setting but a decent location. The person that waited on me, I assumed was an owner, but I’m not sure. He was relatively friendly but was quite busy because of the customers wanting to place orders. Again, like I said before, I plan to go back. I’m quite curious about this Memphis bbq flair they are supposed to bring. :-)

Outstanding food if you love potatoes. Great service too. I get their Physics with no sour cream on a regular basis for lunch. Definitely try their sweet potato mini pies too.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I found them on Eat24. My favorite so far is the Anatomy & Physiology. It is just sweet enough and so comforting. It is like getting a hug from the inside. The Environmental Science and the Earth Science are also amazing. My only critique is that they use too much salt on the skins. It is a little overpowering at times.

I love the science theme! That’s very unique! The business is fairly new you can tell by the inside but it just needs time to develop and I support small businesses. the owner seems nice and said they opened 1÷31÷15 in the area. I think this place would’ve been GREAT as a food truck around town! The food was great lots of toppings, the sweet potato pie was good and so was the cake. I’ll definitely be going back

Good concept. Has room for improvement.
The first thing I noticed was the very reasonable prices. The menu had plenty of options, and had something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful, a tad slow if it was a busy time.
Unfortunately it seemed all the meets and toppings where bought on a low budget. Everything was precooked, however it wasn’t bad especially when you factor in the price.
The drink selection was limited, can sodas that are overpriced and no fountain drinks.
Good: potatoes, BBQ sauce, prices, interior, staff.
Bad: atmosphere, toppings, drink selection.
All in all not a bad lunch stop. Needs to improve on a few things. But there are far worse places to eat.

I love this concept, and it’s a convenient location for me. I go to 10 Gym so I saw this place going up for a few weeks before it opened, and bought the Groupon when I saw it. We stopped in last night and I had the potato with the beef and pork sausage, and my boyfriend had the ham potato. The course/​school-​type concept is really creative, and the employee working explained everything to us pretty well. And most importantly, we both really liked our potatoes! I almost ordered the large size, but the Groupon was only good for smalls, and it’s a good thing. I was full after the small so I can’t imagine eating double that! The sauce on the sausage had a really nice spice to it and I liked it a lot. My boyfriend liked the ham potato too. We live closeby and I’m at the gym next door quite a bit so I’m sure I’ll be back!

If you live in North West OKC you’ve got to try Spudology. Don’t let the super tinted windows and weird door fool you the food and service in here are superb! And don’t try to play it safe, experiment! Go all out with one of there crazy «courses.» I got the pizza potato and it was amazing! I couldn’t stop eating it, they gave me a puzzle to figure out in ten minutes and after one bite of the food I completely forgot about it. A buddy with me had the «zoology course» which was the chili potato and we all took bites out of it as he struggled with the puzzle and I couldn’t decide which potato I liked better.

Spudology is a cool concept, that just needs some more time to develop. You can tell they are VERY new. The menu is extremely confusing, because they tried to make a science class type theme, but then didn’t explain what you really chose for your potato, or how the whole concept worked. We really weren’t sure if you sit down and then order, or order at the counter. Because no one said anything to us for at least 5 minutes.
Their software was down while we were ordering, so they had to write down our order, and then forgot about it. So they gave us cookies to make up for how long it took. I got the chili spud, while my mom got just a plain spud (sour cream, cheese, chives, butter) and asked for more sour cream (which they were happy to provide)
The chili was great! Definitely home made. I think I’ll wait a few months for them to work out some kinks, and return. Because their food really is delicious. And try the sweet potato pie! YUM!
