Springs at Memorial Apartments

These apartments are advertised as «luxury», but they are so cheaply built. These apartments are NOT worth the money. We are the first tenants of our apartment unit. We had to clean it ourselves before we could move our belongings in. There was still drywall mess from the blinds being installed, paint in the sink, dead bugs and saw dust around the baseboards… the list goes on. The floors seem to be a vinyl that looks like hardwood and it was stuck directly to the concrete foundation and the foundation was not swept or vaccumed beforehand (there are huge bumps under the flooring throughtout the unit). The cabinet doors are beat to the hell around the corners and edges. The two spare bedrooms (we have a three bedroom) are prewired for lights and fans, but they are no lights or fans… we were told that we could provide our own.
There is one trash and recycle receptacle located on the property and it is at the entrance. We live in the far back and that is an awful long trek to take our trash and recycle. And the idea of tossing our trash into one of our cars is really off-​putting.
The windows do not latch or lock easily. We do not feel safe here because of how horrible the windows are.
I’ve definitely lived in worse apartments, but I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. For the same money, drive half a mile West and rent with the Brandon Apartments. They aren’t «brand new construction» like this place is, but this place has proved that new construction does not mean better.
To the people in charge… do NOT call this place «luxury». It is far from it. And don’t call it a «gated community» when only the exit gates are closed… what’s the point??!
We can’t wait for our lease to be up. The value for our money is just not there. This place is a complete joke.
