Wonderful sushi restaurant in OKC! Very cool ambiance which makes you feel transported to another world, almost like a relaxing chill-lounge. I got the Rainbow roll and King of the Sea roll which both have a lot of raw fish and it was all fresh and tasty. I’ll be back!

We have been coming here for years and tonight I noticed a huge drop off in the quality we had been accustomed to. I even checked Unilocal to see if they were under new management or something. The second star is for the Tornado Roll, which was fantastic. We had 3 other rolls, all of which were incredibly underwhelming. The quality of the food and staff has definitely declined. We never got refills, had to ask multiple times for simple items, overheard conversations between staff about politics. I remember the days of being unable to get a table without a reservation. Tonight the restaurant was practically empty. I’m writing this review not to complain or cause a fuss, more to keep those of you from blowing $ 100 like I just did.

Not as many varied options for the non-sushi eater. Pad Thai was bland and is not available to be made with any amount spice. I have had pad thai at many different restaurants and can say this is not on my list for places to go for it –spicy or non spicy eaters. Red pepper flakes available at the table upon request. I plan to go back and try something else though. I mostly liked Saii for the ambiance. We did get asked if everything was ok about 6 times during our stay. I know some people like that, but I find it to be interrupting if it’s more than once or twice after I’ve tried the dish. I’m sure it varies depending on your server. Low lighting, quiet, comfy booths, detailed decorating, and dividing between booths. It’s a great place for a dinner date.

Favorite sushi place in OKC! It was a little pricey but definitely worth it for the quality! They are always busy because they are so good so try to get there early or eat at the bar. The service was great too! Miss this place so much

— it was decided once I mentioned noodles that his was the place to go. We arrived quite close to closing time but the staff were courteous and friendly. We got noodles in a hot stone bowl with beef and veggies which was really good. We also got sushi I think it was the paradise roll(??) And having never had sushi before during my 33 years I found it to be awesome. My companion also liked it and thought me how to use chopsticks, which again in my 33 years is something I had not mastered. I really likes this place, the staff, the good and the company I was in all get 5 stars.

After finally being able to get a table(we tried last year but they were über busy), we made it to Saii. And honestly, my guy and I were a bit underwhelmed … As a positive, our waiter was extremely nice and attentive. No glass was left unfilled. We ordered the Thai spring rolls that took a long time to come out.(The place was pretty empty for a Monday night, mind you.) Luckily, they were worth the wait as the sweet and spicy sauce paired well with the contents of the rolls. My husband ordered the chicken pad Thai that he thought was pretty good — but his spider roll, yeah, not so much. We’re used to having soft shell crab be the front and center piece of the spider roll, but here, they had small pieces of asparagus sticking out. Perhaps this is why the roll was only $ 8. The flavor wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t exciting either. I had two rolls: Happy roll, and Fabulous(no rice) roll. The happy roll was HUGE and had a pretty good flavor profile. The fabulous roll was a wee bit on the greasy side for me. Overall, this place is a solid three stars for me. It’s not horrible, but I wouldn’t make the drive for sushi here or another date night. At least to me, there are other sushi places around OKC that have tastier rolls, but this place wasn’t bad(just not my favorite).

We came in at dinner time with a baby. The service was great. Servers were respectful. I loved the lighting and cozy decorations. It looks like one of the high-end restaurants we would have in North Hollywood area. We ordered sushi and sashimi that night. Compared to what I’m used to having and paying for, this is way above my expectation. Both my wife, my daughter and I were so full and the bill was like less than $ 60(tips included). And what we ordered were among the priciest part of the menu.

Food: 5⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 4⁄5 Excellent Salmon Avacado sushi and Bulgogi beef bowl(marinated asian pear & onion bulgogi sauce, carrot, onions, sesame seeds, green onions, over steamed rice). Probably one of the best beef bowls i’ve had in a very long time, if not the best. Our server seemed new and didn’t know the menu well so ordering was complicated and service was slightly slow as well. However the server was very nice about everything. Décor was dark, close quarters but private as well, pretty original and I really like it. It is trendy, classy, upscale-ish, intimate, and romantic all at once. Will be back for the Bulgogi Beef Bowl!

After hearing so much, we were disappointed. The food(a couple of rolls, Avacodo Shrimp appetizer and a couple of cocktails) we had was meh. Had to move tables because the one we were seated at wobbled way too much. The new table had a light bulb going out above it(it flickered constantly). And holy moly was it expensive! We’ve had better in town for less.

My first time here and I love this place, the atmosphere is private and the sushi was amazing. I came here with a friend of mine for a «mom date» and we ordered rolls and some cocktails. I love that they have vegetarian sushi rolls for her. I ordered the cowboy roll($ 8) and the coconut roll($ 12). The coconut was my favorite, coconut tempura shrimp and cream cheese then topped with toasted coconut! Pure heaven. Everything was fresh! I had a bite of my friends vegetarian roll and that was yummy too. I can’t remember the name of her roll but it had tempura sweet potato with avocado! Now lets talk about the cocktails, we both ordered the Lychee cosmo(I had 2 of them $ 8 each) I love how they put a lychee fruit in the cosmo. oh my lordy so delish! I can’t wait to go back!

Saii: «Seriously achy internal injuries» Bc that is what happened to Hubby & I after we had dinner at this place. We were out looking at Christmas lights in a nearby neighborhood & wanted to go to Tokyo for sushi afterwards, but when we drove by it was completely packed, so we went Looking for another sushi bar & ended up at Saii. Saii was completely empty & that should have been a big red flag, but hubby & I were in our on little wonderland world feeling the Christmas spirit, looking at all the beautiful lights & having such a great time, we just weren’t paying attention till it was too late. As we sat down at the empty sushi bar & ordered some drinks our waitress kept disappearing in the back. We ordered 2 spicy yellowtail Bomb appetizers while we looked over the rest of the menu. The appetizers came & they looked as beautiful as they tasted. We were both like WOWZA! This place rocks! Boy were we ever wrong :( So, we ordered yellowtail, octopus & white tuna sashimi, one roll & one nigiri of eel. The roll was a total ugly disaster. It had chunks of lemon on top & fell completely apart, hubby just picked the fish out of it. I didn’t even try it. The nigiri tasted dry/overcooked & fell completely apart. Both were a total fail. When the sashimi came it was all on one plate on top of a bed of daikon. The largest pieces of sashimi I have ever seen & not in a good way. They were more like raw fish filets stacked on a plate ready to be grilled. They didn’t seem that fresh either. The tuna was kinda smelly so I didn’t eat any of it. I tried one piece of octopus but the texture was very bad like it was not very fresh so I didn’t eat any more of it. The yellowtail seemed the freshest so I ate just the yellowtail. Hubby loves daikon so he started eating some of the daikon. Then he starts telling me that it taste fishy & taste bad like it had bad fish juice on it or something like maybe cross contamination or something Bc nothing on the plate tasted like that. Then, as he is telling me this, a second waitress comes up to the sushi bar carrying a plate of sashimi. She hands it back to the sushi chefs & says that her table says it’s bad & they don’t want it. The sushi chefs start arguing with the waitress & the waitress keeps saying over & over«they said the fish is bad, did you use the old fish?» «Old fish» what«OLDFISH» WTH!!! The sushi chefs start running around looking at all the fish, so I start lookin at the fish thru the glass & notice there is tons of fish. So, I assume they first made us some of the fresh fish then, served us the held over fish thinking we wouldn’t notice. It must have been a slow week Bc there was a ton of fish in the case. Yikes. We decided to split but our waitress was no where to be found. We had to get another waitress to go find our waitress so we can get the check. We wait & wait & wait. While we are waiting they are closing & I watch as the sushi chefs put the old fish away in the coolers for the next day! Our waitress finally comes with the check & we leave. By the time we got down the street to Cousins(about 20 mins) hubby’s stomach was hurting & my throat started to swell. We had to rush home Bc we were both sick. Hubby was up all night long & suffered for 2 days missing our Christmas party. To the owners of Saii: There is no excuse for serving bad/held over fish & endangering the health & wellbeing of your customers. Now I know what Saii stand for: «Seriously achy internal injuries.» Will never return. Customers Beware! DONOTRECOMMEND.

The food here is consistently good. The atmosphere is pretty cool too. Dark and nice for a date night, but accommodating for a group too. Be sure to make a reservation on the weekends, they have two seating times. It can get a little pricey with cocktails and sushi, but cocktails and sushi are pricey anywhere. I love the Spicy Basil Flat Noodles and the sushi it good too. Don’t leave without getting a lychee martini!

Saii is great! It is always somewhere I always want to go. On maybe 2 out my 8 or so total trips it took an extended amount of time to get food, but it has been worth it every time! I get a Spicy Cowboy roll EVERYTIME and it is a must try for anyone, as it is not too spicy. This last trip I had the roll on special, the Summer Dragon. It was delicious! It was fresh and spicy(it has jalapeño in it). I also tried the Beauty and the Beast roll and the salmon on it was melt in your mouth good! They also have specials several days of the week, like cheaper bottles of wine on Mondays and I think a mimosa special on another day. All in all it is a perfect date place and also a good place for a small group of friends. The usual cost is about $ 20 per person for sushi(you will leave full!) I’m not sure what the prices are for their other dishes since I always go for the sushi! The atmosphere is perfect and they have comfy pillows along the benches as well as curtains and decorations that separate you from the other diners making it feel like you’re eating with just the people you came with, which is really nice!
Everyone raves about Saii, saying it is their favorite sushi place, however I find it rather average. You can find sushi just as good, if not better for a better price. For me, lunch should be under $ 10. Perhaps it is that i am not a big fan of rolls or lots of fanciness when it comes to sushi. I want fresh flavorful fish with perhaps with some garnishes that elevate the flavor. Do not get me wrong, I do not mind paying for quality, but this is just average dining for the price. Not great, not bad. Average. Atmosphere is great for an intimate dinner or lunch.

I give Saii five stars, not so much for the food, but for the effort and atmosphere. They seem to work really hard at ensuring a quality experience, and I appreciate those efforts. This restaurant seems to differentiate itself through creating an intimate dining experience. The tables are intimate, with dim lighting and textile and pillows that provide almost a feel of dining in Morocco. The sushi seems very fresh, and I am never disappointed by their nigiri or sashimi. I love their super white tuna and salmon. Their edamame is a nice way to start any meal and it always arrives hot and fresh. I have had several rolls and they’ve never disappointed. They are colorful and ample enough to fill the heartiest of appetites. They offer a full bar with some great Sake offerings as well, enjoyed hot or cold. Saii is tucked into the back corner of a strip mall on May Ave, close to Honey Baked Hams and just north of Tao.

I have heard and read amazing things about this place, but during my two visits, I haven’t found anything to be amazing about this place. Don’t get me wrong, the sushi, service, and atmosphere are all great, but not overwhelming. My favorite part has got to be the seating — with cushions and low lighting, this place has a romantic, intimate feel. Good place for a date for sure. The sushi is decent, with a large selection of rolls. I guess my one comment would be that they do not have very many tempura shrimp rolls(one?). This was odd since most places have several to choose from. I went for an early dinner on a week night, and even though there were only maybe two other parties in the entire restaurant, the wait time was closer to what you would expect had they been slammed on a Friday night. That was surprising. The service was not bad, but nothing to write home about either. In general, I think there are better sushi places in OKC, so maybe consider trying somewhere else.

Well, this is a bummer. The number of check-ins that I have at Saii is embarrassing. The last handful of visits I’ve experienced were less than stellar, though. But I’ve enjoyed it so many times over the past couple of years that I continued to give it a chance. Over the last few months, the food has been subpar for what I’d come to expect of Saii, and the service has become rather slow. I’m not sure if that’s on the server’s part or the kitchen. Even when there are only a couple of tables filled, it takes a long amount of time to get any food, appetizers or otherwise. The last time I ate there, my food was lukewarm and included an ingredient that I asked to be removed. For the amount of time it took to actually get that food, that’s incredibly disappointing. Their sushi is good, but also expensive in comparison to many other places. I feel like I have been to places with the same quality(or better) for a lower price. The drink prices are also astronomical. These little things weren’t such a hindrance with the overall experience I’ve had previously, but they rear their little heads as other aspects decline.

Hello new favorite sushi bar. Since my parents recently moved back to OKC they have been getting acquainted with all of the spots we overlooked when we lived out of town. Saii being one of these places, but overlooked no more. It may be tucked in a shopping center but once inside the atmosphere totally changes that. I’m big on atmosphere and saii impressed! I came with my parents and a friend but this would be a great spot for a date night or girls night out! My sweet mom doesnt mind sushi but doesn’t have the same love for it that the rest of my family has. She got the shrimp and chicken clay pot which was outstanding and the rest of is split 5 different sushi rolls. 3 of us finished it all, i’m going to try and pretend we didn’t eat all of that. Every roll was perfect i couldn’t pick a favorite. Great spot in OKC more people should know about!

Headed to OKC for the weekend and glad we came here for lunch. Since I’m in Lawton for a few months where the sushi is meh, I was glad we found this to satisfy my sushi craving! FOOD: Lobster Volcano roll(4 stars): The salmon on top was really good! Not enough lobster pieces though. Way too much crab on top so you have to search through it to find the lobster. For the price($ 19) it should have had more lobster. Some of my rolls were missing salmon on top, WTH! I don’t know what went on there, but I was so hungry I just ate it without telling them. Hot Twister(3.5 stars): Jalapeño on top gave it a spicy kick. Tasted fresh but not as flavorful as the lobster volcano roll, needed more of a sauce. Gyoza(3 stars): Standard Gyoza. Sake Bomb: Not on the menu but ask for it and they’ll do it. Came in short glasses so we couldn’t really drop it in the fun way by balancing it on chop sticks. SERVICE(5 stars): Girl was really nice and helpful with suggestions. ATMOSPHERE(5 stars): Really nice inside! The booths feel secluded so it’s great if you have a group. Open layout, clean bathrooms. Sushi bar looked nice to sit at too. It is a little more pricey here though, so you pay a bit more for the atmosphere. PARKING: Own separate lot.
