I felt like Vivian from Pretty Woman on Rodeo Dr. I have never been more insulted in my life. I was in the area and saw the store, incidentally while I was out trying on wedding dresses. I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to drop in and look around. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I felt EXTREMELY unwelcomed and was made to feel like I was unworthy of looking and heaven forbid touching the dresses. I would rather get married in a potato sack than purchase a dress from this store.

I made an appointment to try on wedding gowns on a Sat morning at 10:00. When we showed up for my appt, Debbie greeted me at the door and I gave her my name. She left and came back with a consultant(Lauren). She told my mom and bridesmaids that they’d have to stand there(in the doorway) because they had another appt going on and a fitting. First red flag that we weren’t accommodated when I had scheduled an appt. As I’m looking through gowns with Lauren she told me another bride was there looking for the same style as me and had taken most of the dresses in my budget to her room and, while rolling her eyes, says that she didn’t know why they’d schedule us that way.(so reassuring…) Lauren and Debbie also continuously bickered at each other under their breath every time they came in contact. So I find a handful of dresses to try on. In the fitting room, Lauren starts telling me about breaking up with her boyfriend and how it was a mistake… Um, this is supposed to be about ME and my wedding! I shouldn’t be trapped in a therapy session with a complete stranger. I ended up finding my dream dress here. Lauren told me Debbie said it was so ugly when it arrived in their store earlier that week. When I stepped out in it she suddenly seemed to love it. I didn’t make a decision that day but was told they’d follow up the next week. 4 weeks later and I still haven’t heard from them. Which didn’t matter because I tracked down the same Maggie Sottero gown at another boutique in OKC. I had the BEST experience there and gave them my business!!! Wedding dress shopping should be a special experience and this was far from it. Unprofessionalism runs rampant here and it WILL cost you business. It already has. Definitely would not recommend to anyone!

Extremely rude, impatient, and not friendly. This shop was terrible and did not make us feel welcomed. We spent ten minutes in the store before leaving because of how rude these ladies were. I will never shop here or recommend it to anyone else.

Way too crowded with dresses, most of which seemed boring and outdated. They also didn’t have a single veil for me to try on with dresses that wasn’t damaged or dirty! Beware as one of tne of the salewomen used to work at another bridal shop and was running them down the whole time we were there. Prices were competitive and they seemed willing to order anything you wanted, but to actually suggest I order a wedding gown that was«similar» to the one I liked the best is ridiculous and I was shocked anyone would suggest that. Maybe I’m just being a drama queen?

My friend is prepping for her second marriage and asked me to be part of a group of honest and fun ladies to help her pick out her dress. SJ was our first stop until we were informed we needed an appointment. We set one for a few hours later and went to Alfred Angelo and lunch before heading back. When we checked in five minutes before our appointment, we waited fifteen minutes before someone assisted us. She was a very nice, helpful lady, totally understanding of my friend’s style, size, and budget. She rounded up the dresses our group had picked out, our friend went to the fitting room, and we sat around a fitting platform, just like we had done at Alfred Angelo. The shop is small and cramped, overstuffed with racks and dresses, and there were plenty of people in there so this was the best spot to be, especially since our friend would be parading and posing for us. NOTE: No pictures. No pulling things off the rack without assistance. The owner started passing back and forth in front of us, giving us the stink eye each time, eventually pulling the girl that was helping us off to the side. After their hushed conference, the lady helping us ran off and the owner asked our friend to explain what she was looking for. That was the last we saw of our helper. The rest of our appointment, she was helping a bride who kept remarking how reasonable the $ 2000 price tag was for the dress and accessories she was trying on. Meanwhile, the owner continued to Pretty Woman us: my friend wasn’t allowed to try on dresses that were out of her price range, even if it was just to get an idea of the style or color, and the owner insisted on bringing dresses that weren’t her size or the style she wanted. Some of them were even filthy and priced as is at $ 600. Eventually even that service stopped, leaving my friend to fend for herself. So much for that appointment… I’m not one to write bad reviews, but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If how much a customer is going to spend determines the quality of service, then let people know ahead of time so they don’t make and keep appointments that you yourself will not stand by in your quality of service. On top of that, the shop was dirty, had only two fitting platforms and two dressing rooms, the toilet didn’t work, and as I mentioned, the place was stuffed to the gills with merchandise. The prices were more expensive, but that is to be expected at a smaller shop. I bought my own wedding dress at a small, family owned shop in Detroit, but the service and products made up for the little extra we paid. This is not the case at SJ. Maybe someone else will have better luck, but I think it’s safe to say I would never recommend someone come here.
