We were staying at the Skirvin for our 5year anniversary. We decided after dinner in Bricktown that we would go have drinks at the Red Piano Lounge. Music was good. Drinks were delicious. I had a Centennial Martini and my husband had a Moscow Mule.

We all have our inclinations and this place just, tickles my fancy. Came here for an afternoon drink on a Saturday and was well pleased with the stately atmosphere. It’s almost like you are at a museum or an old mansion. Dark red drapes everywhere and expensive looking wood. This place does not apologize for shit! Go on with your bad self. I got a whiskey neat and was happy with the result. Amazing people watching ops as well since it’s in a hotel and there’s always some characters.

I love this bar. We go here for a lot of work events, and it’s nice just for a classy happy hour. It’s located in the Skirvin, so it’s gorgeous. The drinks are a little pricy, but nothing too outrageous. It’s a great place for a happy hour or any company event.

We had a large group looking for some cocktails after a rehearsal dinner. Very disappointed. Drinks take 10+ minutes. Servers have no clue how to handle a large group and make no effort to hide their bad attitudes. Only upside is they are so incompetent they didn’t charge us for all of our drinks. Normally I would bring it to their attention but not after the way they treated us. I won’t be back, next time I will walk to brick town.

Comfortable bar at the Skirvin Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. It has a lot of comfy couch seating, plus around a dozen or so bar stools. When it gets packed, the party spills out into the lobby, which is also equipped with some comfortable places to sit. Additionally, when the weather’s nice there is a patio which wraps around the front and side of the bar. It can get quite crowded, but there’s a lot of space for the crowd. I’ve been to several after parties at Red Piano, after a wedding reception or other event. Even when it’s crowded it doesn’t feel totally cramped. Red Piano has an average list of wines available by the glass. I’d say there are 5 – 7 or so of red and white respectively. There are always 4 – 5 beers on tap, and they are usually solid choices. It’s got your typical liquors and some house mixed drinks. Bartenders are fairly knowledgeable and friendly in my experience. Additionally, most evenings they’ve got the piano player, which adds a nice ambiance. I’ve not been for happy hour during a weekday, but I understand it’s a good scene. One of the better bar choices in the downtown area, recommended.

The food has really been slacking here the past few times I’ve been. It was a little shocking to order the pizza for $ 14 on the menu that lists all the toppings, and once we got the bill it was a $ 20 pizza. Little misleading that an east coast pizza is really just a cheese pizza with each additional topping $ 1, even though the toppings are listed like its a supreme pizza. You would think for $ 20 that pizza would’ve been gold, but unfortunately it was mediocre. As always the atmosphere is fun and the drinks are flowing so that is always a bonus. The skirvin is amazingly beautiful and it’s always a fun place to hang.

So my celebrity friend was in town staying in the presidential Suite at the Hilton Skirvin Hotel for the weekend. We wanted to eat Lunch at the Park Avenue grill, but had just missed lunch. So we made reservations for dinner for later at the adjacent restaurant Park Avenue Grill. I really liked the seating in the red piano bar, which right in the entry was a red computerized piano that played music softly. The seating in this area is great from the chairs, couches. It’s very intimate. Because this was Valentine’s Day weekend, each woman in the bar area was accompanied by a red rose. How sweet was that? Kudos for the Skirvin Hotel. I ordered the upside down pineapple cake martini. The thick sweet cream accompanied by vodka, pineapple juice grenadine and heavy cream was very decadently delicious. The chicken and waffle was a very different from any other waffle that I had in Oklahoma. I really love the Red Piano Bar’s version. The chicken was crispy, hot and seasoned. The maple syrup bacon was ingenious and complimented with thick savory gravy that I thought would not be good. When you order chicken and waffles you want to have the sweet, crunchy, and salty goodness. It wasn’t really pricey, it only cost $ 6. Then I had the thin crust wood fire pizza. The cutting was off. It was as if they didn’t have a real pizza cutter. However that is not to take away from the pizza. This pizza for $ 12 was amazing. It was fresh hot and good. Would I order again??? The answer is absolutely yes I would. The staff was very helpful and patient. The only thing that I didn’t like was the wait. It took a very long time for our food to come. But once the food arrived it was so good that it was so worth the long wait. I couldn’t believe that I had passed by the Red Piano bar thinking that it was just some bar. I love this place. On the weekends late night it is a very nice place to socialize with friends without a club scene environment.

Better than average hotel bar atmosphere, especially if the piano is being played, but the bar service is cold and weak. There are much better cocktails and wine lists elsewhere, too. It’s fine if you are staying at the Skirvin and don’t want to go out, but not really worth a special trip.

Sing us a song on that gorgeous, RED baby grand, piano man, while we make love to our tonic & gin ;) I got a REDHOT love affair going on with this place! Its a whole lotta sexy, a whole lotta tasty, and is as sinfully indulgent as the chocolate martinis, eye candy & decadent menu ;) SERIOUS-RED– HOT love affair going on! This chic, sexy, beautiful bar is a triple threat! The food & drinks are always spot on, the service is always top notch & the entertainment is REDHOT! I LOVE the piano mans version of Tiny dancer. Can’t get enough of that HOT guy ;) lol Last time we were there he tore that RED baby grand up like he was Jerry Lee Lewis reincarnate! Great Christmas balls of fire! LOL The place was firing on all 12 cylinders & rockin out round the Christmas tree! There was a whole lotta stylishly naughty & nicely dressed fancy pants people getting their bad Santa drinkie groove on to the HOT piano man Christmas hop! Woop woop! Hubby & I have been frequenting this bar for a while now & it’s always a fun time mingling with the eclectic mix of locals & hotel guests that come from all over. Last time was especially holiday party festive, a jolly good time was being had by all. The place was packed! Beautiful wines & well made drinks were consistently flowing around a room full of beautiful festive people beautifully dressed in their holiday best ;) The waitress’s are all professionals, they always remember us & know what we want when we walk in the door ;) They have excellent bar food, but, you can also order off the regular hotel menu ;) I always get the salmon Cesar salad. Fresh crispy romaine lettuce, lightly coated in a house made Cesar dressing with just the right amount of anchovy, Parma cheese, house made garlicky, buttery croutons, topped with a thick, juicy, piece of fresh salmon that is grilled perfectly medium rare & seasoned to perfection. Simply amazballs :-)… Excellent service with a smile, fashionably chic bar with classy entertainment, awesome food & tasty drinks in a lively, fiercely sophisticated luxurious setting with the HOT fancy pants people! LOVEIT! lol Red Piano Bar you move me honey!!! Oh what a thrill! I love you still! Goodness gracious great balls of fire! :))

Really gorgeous bar and so historical! The black stained floor and red leather chairs have such a club feel. But the main attraction is the Red Baby Grand piano! A young man in a tuxedo play jazz to show tunes and classical songs on Saturday night. Some of us ordered beers some martins just like the patrons some in western hats some people in ball gowns really fun authentic OKC hotel bar!

Ok… I visited the Red Piano Bar a few nights ago and I was very underwhelmed to say the least. I expected this place to very classy, upscale and debonair type of establishment. When I got there it wasn’t the complete opposite but Damn sure a close second. Ok… I started off my night with two 1911 cocktails which were great, the waitress was very nice and informative and not overbearing. This review may be more about my expectations than it is about the overall service. From reading Unilocal reviews I was expecting men and women to be dressed to the tee socializing amongst each other while the piano player played a relaxing melody. What I got was a bunch of out of towners with late check ins who decided to come down for late night drink. I still can see the visions of flip flops and Hawaiian shirts in my head. Maybe it’s me… maybe I’m stuck in 50s and 60s. An era where you could walk in the joint and listen to the Big jazz band while mingling with others throughout the rest of the evening. Yeah, maybe it’s just me.

I always have fun at Red Piano, especially if Christy is working the bar. When I worked in the First National Center and parked in the Santa Fe, I literally had to walk past it to get home, so it was a great place to stop for an afterwork apéritif. Just as it was in the hotel’s storied heyday during the first oil boom, in it’s latest incarnation as one of the nicest hotels, and thus hotel bars in OKC, this is one of the best places to people-watch in OKC. It’s always fun to try and spot stars in town for concerts, ball games or charity events. It gets a little loud at times, but don’t all bars? The last time I stayed at the hotel for a wedding, we pretty much closed down the bar, until I commanded the piano man, «Play me out to Tiny Dancer!!!» And he did, and I’ll never forget it.

Nice bar in OKC Skirvin’s hotel. On weekends there is music too — not too loud so you can chat with your friends. Good selection of scotches, whiskey and bourbon. From my limited visits to OK, the best bars seem to be the ones in hotels…

I think I went to this bar last week… not sure… but if it is the bar I went to last week then it was pretty cool for a bar in the OKC. I also saw the lead singer from Color Me Bad there that night, he was fat, time has not been kind on that man.

Probably my favorite hangout place/bar to go to any day of the week! Mo the bartender is very kind, and makes the best cocktails in OKC! I haven’t tried many of the food items here besides the mac and cheese, turkey sandwich, and caesar salad which were all decent but nothing to really talk about. My favourite drink here is the Red Piano Cosmo, I don’t think I could have a regular cosmo after trying their version of it. I also enjoy the Chocolatini, and wish I could have one every day for dessert, but of course I also don’t want to get fat either so I stay refrain from drinking it often =D If you’re staying at the Skirvin Hilton or in the downtown area give this place a try and make sure to ask for Mo to get the best service in town!

I love this place! The drinks and service are excellent! Every time I come to OKC I stop here for a drink… I’m making my way through the martini menu. The chocolate martinis are to die for…

I am pretty picky in the places I go eat. I have been there twice since I’m in Oklahoma City in 2 days. The Red Piano Bar is definitely a good place to go eat, chill with friends, watch a sports game or bring a date. I’m giving overall a 4⁄5 stars. I’m giving a: Atmosphere 5⁄5: Garnished of red colour, a piano is standing in the corner and automatically play some music. Food 4⁄5: I love the hard Tacos. I tried also a Ceasar salad with a fresh grilled Atlantic Salmon on top. Service 3.5−4÷5: First time I was here, the service wasn’t that great but I was most than satisfied the second time. Definitely a place to check out before a Thunder game or for an after-game Drink.

as beautiful and classy as the bar looked, and as amazing as the Foreigner covers on the piano sounded, i was a little disappointed. after being at a local brewery all night with decently priced drinks, my husband and i came back to our hotel bar for a nightcap before heading up to our room. i was excited that our hotel had such a nice looking bar where we could relax and unwind before heading up, but getting there near closing time, the time they would be closing was announced over and over and i felt very rushed. my husband asked if they had ‘bulleit’ to which the waitress said ‘yes’. when my husband asked in they had rye or bourbon, she said ‘we have BULLEIT, they only make one’ in a condescending way, as though he was nuts.(sidenote– bulleit has a bourbon AND a rye whiskey). i then decided to order a bailey’s as my nightcap(good choice, right?) and when she came back with it, it was literally an inch of bailey’s with ice and an $ 8 price tag. our final order was some dessert, as my husband has a sweet tooth. excited to hear that crème brûlée was on the menu, i ordered it as a surprise while he went to the lobby restroom. after it was delivered, i was sad to find out that it was not the regular vanilla custardy crème brûlée that we all love, but an off version of peanut butter-chocolate crème brûlée. i would think that the waitress would have notified me of it NOT being the classic version, which i was really looking forward to, but yet a variation, especially that it was one including peanuts. luckily i have no peanut allergies, but it was not very tasty, even though she insisted it was a popular dessert choice. if you must go to the red piano bar, go early in the evening, but if you want a nightcap, i suggest bringing up a six-pack to your hotel room.

This is a beautiful lobby bar in the downtown Skirvin Hilton. The drinks are delicious and they have a full bar with a large selection of specialty martinis. As long as you’re paying for the expensive drinks, be sure to get some of the free cashew snacks(you’ll probably have to ask for them). Be sure to check out the lobby and all the historical pictures of this hotel. If you’re in downtown Oklahoma City and dressed nicely, stop by this place for a drink.
