I have been looking for a wedding dress since February this year. I’ve made countless appointments, tried on what seems like 500 dresses, and I’ve gone home empty handed every single time. I kept thinking the right dress would come along at some point, then I decided to just have one made. Which meant I needed fabric, plus an exact idea of what I wanted. Then I would have to pay someone to make it. That made me a nervous wreck — not really knowing how the dress would turn out. Plus, fabric + labor wouldn’t be cheap. On top of that, our wedding venue is super affordable and I told myself I could not buy a dress more expensive than our venue. Then I started a new job, got busy, and kind of let the wedding dress shopping fall to the bottom of my priority list. BAM — it’s 77 days from our wedding and I still don’t have a dress. Yikes. Panic begins. I did what any normal person in 2016 would do, I posted about my dress misfortune on Facebook. An angel came to the rescue with the idea to go to Pomp & Pageantry. I’d like to say this was my first time hearing about it, but it wasn’t. I was actually told about this store 3 – 4 times and never did anything about it. Until today! I FINALLY made the move, and called. They had an opening today(on such short notice, mind you) and said they’d see me at 2pm. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two sweet girls who seemed relaxed, casual, and the exact opposite of pushy. Kaci is the one who ended up working with me, and I felt like she knew exactly what I wanted and what I did not want. Unlike any of the other dress stores, she did not try to talk me into a dress I didn’t want to try on. She gave me ideas, helped me to envision alterations, and even picked out the dress I ended up buying. The price of my dress was unbelievable. I could not believe how much of a steal I was getting. Kaci was a doll, and made the entire experience feel too good to be true. I can’t believe it took me 5 months to go check it out! I can safely say I have a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders!

This was the boutique where I was able to get my dress. If you buy a dress from here the alterations are complimentary which is a pretty good steal because alterations for a wedding gown could cost up to 200 – 800 $ depending on height and all that jazz. The staff here are super friendly and they don’t seem fake when they compliment you. One thing to keep in mind is if your wedding is in the spring especially april area your dress may be fitted earlier than usual because it is prom season as well. My last fitting was a month before my actual wedding and when I tried on the dress the day before my wedding it was loose. Luckily I decided to get a really good maid of honor and she made the final alterations but it was a moment of panic for a bride

Writing this review because even after a year later of being a customer, I am still angry. I purchases my prom gown from this location last year. I saved my money for a while so that I could purchase my dream dress. I paid a large amount for the gown and needed it altered in. I had my gown taken in and came back after the alotted time to get it. On the night of my prom, the gown seemed fine… until I sat down. I had the gown on for less than twenty mins and the zipper broke. I then had to be sewn into my gown. Whoever altered it, altered it too small that I couldn’t sit down without it breaking. I called the store and they told me I could take it up there the next day but after that, they couldn’t fix it. Who is going to do that the night after prom? After the evening was over, I had to be cut out of my dress. I can never wear the garment again because of this. I almost always cry when I see it in m closet. Still very sad.

Great place to check out wedding gowns. Many dresses are on sale– talk to a sales associate to understand the sticker system. I walked in on a slow day and the staff was attentive and helpful in showing me dresses within my budget. This is the nicest gown selection I’ve seen in OKC that is affordable.

This place is amazing! It’s sort of tucked away into a strip mall, so it’s kind of discreet, but it’s a great store. You walk in to the front room and you think«this is it?» That’s all they’ve got? All I saw were prom dresses. Very nice prom dresses, but not that many. They had the fitting rooms off to the right which were very nice and roomy. Plenty of room to try on the dress. Me and my mom started looking at the selection of the dresses in the front room trying to find one I liked then a couple minutes later an associate came out from the back. She asked me what I was looking for and i told her a prom dress then she led us into the back and WOW!!! I was amazing!!! The back room is so much bigger! It’s been a couple years since I’ve been there, but I still remember what it looked like. It was big and had dozens upon dozens of dresses in all sorts of sizes and styles. The associates were very friendly and helped me pick out dresses. The associate I had was very nice. She stayed with us the entire time and even gave criticism on dresses when I walked out of the dressing room. I didn’t get to see what type of wedding dresses they have, but considering the dress I ended up buying was Alyce Paris I can assume they have many of the big named brands there. One big feature about this store that others don’t, you can put your dress on layaway! That’s how I paid for my dress. I bought it about 4 months before prom. You put some money down and they write your name and your preferred alteration date on a tag and immediately attach it to the dress you tried on and put it in a separate room so no one else can try it on. Then they give you a copy so you remember the date. Not to mention the alterations are free and complimentary. Make sure you bring the shoes you’re going to wear the day of whatever event you’re doing so they can alter the hemline. As far as I know, they only do one alteration appointment. My dress was a corset back so it didn’t much alteration besides some shortening of the straps. I don’t know if they do more for wedding dresses. All in all, it’s a very nice store. It’s very clean and has a great selection and a wide variety of styles and sizes. I know that a lot of stores don’t have some of those bigger sizes and that is definitely a deciding factor for a lot of people. As far as prices, my prom dress was an a-line floor length dress(practically a ball gown) and it cost me $ 300. Again, I put it away on layaway. So I only had to pay around $ 100 a month until I went to pick it up. So, it is kind of pricey, but it’s the average for prom dresses. And since they have the layaway option you could probably get a higher priced dress without breaking the bank.

Tiny selection and absolutely the rudest staff I have experienced in any bridal shop in OKC. I will NOT be returning to buy my wedding dress here!
