I understand that most large clinics can not fit a new patient in right away, but the way I was treated on the phone by a staff member at the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic was completely blasé and non-feeling. I know people in the medical field are more desensitized to people’s situation, but that’s not acceptable. As my son was having severe allergic reactions, our doctor recommended this clinic. When I called to set it up, I was told it would be over a month for skin testing. That in itself wasn’t the issue(although it’s too long to wait when your son is in the ER twice in one week due to unknown allergens). The issue was the way the staff member could have cared less in his attitude over the phone. He had no empathy for my situation and basically treated it like — ‘tough, get over it, it is what it is’. He told me to go to the ER as many times as I needed to as that is my only option. I have news for you … that is NOT an option. I called another allergist, who got me in within 7 days(not a month or longer). Poor customer service on their part …

Really nice facility and staff. Everyone was very knowledgeable about my allergies and was eager to help me get a plan that would work for me. My only negative part would be the building parking lot, it is going through some construction so parking is a bit of a hassle.

They been here for years. All the doctors and nures are very professional and experienced. For the bad allergy that Oklahoma has, the allergy clinic made it up. One thing, don’t wait until the last minute to see them, they do not accept emergency allergy care, it took me almost two weeks to get in. Dr James Well and RN Carol are really good, ethical, responsible. He recommanded me to see a top specialist for my problem and avoided a surgery.
