I really really like this place for the most part. Not the BEST Tex Mex I’ve ever had but it’s pretty darn good and the prices are very fair. I’ve always had friendly service the three times I’ve gone. I did have an awkward moment, however, when I took my infant son there one day. I was seated at a booth and sat facing the kitchen. My server was very nice, probably in his late 30s or early 40s. He got me everything I needed and my chile relleno lunch was very good. The awkward moment was that I kept feeling like I was being watched. I’m not a paranoid person at all, but every time I looked up I would catch a cook staring at me from the corner of my eye. My server went over to the kitchen window for something and they exchanged some words to each other but I was too far to hear. I’m white as a sheet but I do understand Spanish and speak it pretty well. The server dropped off my check and I immediately reached for it since I had my wallet out. I put my cash down with my left hand(I have two bands on my ring finger, I’m married) and the server promptly went over to the computer by the kitchen to cash me out. Before he even reached it he kind of loudly said, «esta casada!»(She’s married) to the cook I felt had been staring at me. I felt really awkward. I’m sure he didn’t think I spoke Spanish but still… never make assumptions! Keep it professional while in the dining area. It’s a small area and pretty easy to be overheard. Anyways, I still really like the service, food, and the prices and will probably be back for that. But maybe with my Mexican hubby next time LOL.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant in the metro! Their food is always fresh and the staff is super friendly. If you’re lucky then the mariachi will be in and you’ll get some lovely music to go along with your meal! I think a good measure of a Mexican place is how good their beans and rice are. Some places clearly don’t care and just slap some filler food in there… and I’m happy to say that’s not the case here. I love their beans and rice, and usually leave them to take with my leftovers b/c they reheat pretty darn well. I’ve honestly eaten here so many times that I can’t remember which specific dishes I’ve had and which I haven’t. I can say that every single thing I’ve had here as been great. My husband gets burrito dinner everytime, and since I’ve stolen a few bites I can definitely vouch for it’s deliciousness. It could also serve a family of four. They don’t go small on portions here.

I am going to agree with Joe S. about customer service! This place is almost too friendly and accommodating! Mom and Dad wanted me to try this place out as an alternative to Chelino’s. Well they were right — the food here is so much better/fresher/appetizing. But as a margarita LOVER — they have nothing on Chelino’s — so it is six of one and half a dozen of the other if you know what I mean… Gotta do a crawl I suppose. In any event SUPER customer service, clean, and tasty food — I also like the diverse crowd in this place — something I enjoy about Midwest City/OKC metro — everyone is welcome — I LOVETHAT. My only concern are the table seem a little tight(and we are slim folk) I saw some larger folk struggling — we will see but for now. …this is gonna be our new family go to in MWC.

Great service! The flour tortillas are amazing as well. If it’s your birthday they will make you feel like you’re family.

This restaurant has everything that customer service should have. When you enter the restaurant there is somebody there to greet you and you get seated right away. Then come service at the speed of light. They bring you your chips and salsa out really fast your drinks come out fast and finally your food comes out fast. Even though your meal comes out pretty quickly the waiters and waitresses are right on the money making sure that you haven’t run out of anything. They brought us out some chips and salsa and the chips were warm and very very good. The food was good as well and the servings are pretty large so you might have to take some home. The restaurant is very colorful with blues and yellows and lots of other bright colors. I’ll definitely be back here again. It’s a great little restaurant in Midwest city Oklahoma.

Traveling through MWC at 5:00p on a Sat and hungry for Mexican, we first stopped at Ted’s. As usual, there was about an hour-long wait. Found Monterey Jack’s on Unilocal and decided to try it out. We’ll never try Ted’s first again! At Monterey Jack’s, we were seated immediately; and, the waitstaff and food was fantastic. It’s not much on décor or ambiance, but the dining experience was great! We’ll definitely be making it our Mexican restaurant of choice in the MWC area.

We eat here at least monthly. Their regular salsa is great, you will have to ask them for multiple bowls if you use a lot though. They also have a very hot salsa and a tomatillo that are very good as well. As mentioned by others, they have very quick service, but can get pretty busy at lunch time. Lots of food for a very reasonable price. Only thing we have not ordered are there mixed drinks.

I’d give 4.5 stars, truly. But, worth rounding up for the service alone. My wife and I come here 1 – 2 times per month. The staff is *always* on point and gets the food out in a timely fashion. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. I particularly enjoy their chicken entrees as they always have perfect flavor. Note: Save room for sopapillas and don’t fill up on chips and tortillas! Also, if you like spice, they make a very tasty salsa verde, but you must request it.

I’m no professional when it comes to rating restaurants and dive-ins, so you can count on my brutal honesty. Monterey Jacks is typical Oklahoma Mexican food. It’s fast, hot, cheap, and nothing note worthy. The atmosphere is family friendly, and the wait staff are quick, friendly and attentive. I had the 3 Tacos Supreme, one is chicken and the other 2 are beef. I got the chicken in a hard shell and the beef in soft shells. Had a lot of flavor, don’t fill up on the chips!

Good food but not great. The service was great but the sopaipilla they served for desert was good enough to just swing by for desert.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food and service are always good. They aim to please. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken chimichanga. I will admit that I haven’t tried much else here, other than this and the complimentary fare. They are the only place that makes my chimi EXACTLY how I like it so it’s hard for me to order anything else when I come here.

I’ve only been here once and my experience was only average. I got the Quesadilla but I’m not sure why it’s pink. It was only the appetizer but it served as lunch for me and it was more than enough food. The chips, queso and salsa were also only average. I didn’t find anything special about them.

Efficient and friendly service. I loved the fact that they aimed to please. I have had the hardest time finding a place that truly has authentic Mexican food north of Texas and east of New Mexico. The manager Juan was open to suggestion and plans on expanding the menu to cater to customers. I had chicken enchiladas, the chicken was well seasoned shredded breast meat, not under seasoned clumpy meat like most Oklahoma Mexican restaurants. Kudos to them!!!
